(09/13/2014) The Gender of Divinity?

Points are shared on the sexual category and characteristics of the Holy Spirit, today.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Babs” (Level 6 with 12,796 points, a member since December 31, 2013) posted the following:

Is the "Holy Ghost" a man or woman?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:  and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?  This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:  and these three are one.  And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood:  and these three agree in one.  If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:  for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:  he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  (1st John 5:  4-12, KJV)

“Babs”, here are a few points about the Holy Spirit that have been useful to Christian believers:

(1.)  The Holy Spirit is understood to be an agent or aspect of the full divine person.  GOD is a spirit who has put forth all created beings and living creatures, conditions for their duration, various spheres wherein they experience life (e.g., earth, heaven, the universe), processes for change and development of life (e.g., birth, maturity, perfection) as well as sacred processes for revelation of divinity (e.g., covenant, family, incarnation, prophecy).

(2.)  Gender pertains to those alive in the earth who appear having material flesh, and features that may dominate their physical operation such as appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), and emotional/mental functions (e.g., anger, desire, fear, imagination, recall).  Distinctions exist within mankind and others species between males and females on the basis of a range of factors that include their organs, tissues, and body parts; size; social functions; roles in reproduction; and physical strength.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  There is no issue of competition, gender, hierarchy or separation among the divine persons.  The full reality of divine being is spoken of as “the GODhead” in order to acknowledge that there are clear patterns among the events that describe the active presence of GOD within the earth.  In the person of the Father, GOD is understood as existing in pure spirit form that does not visibly appear to the created.  As the Holy Spirit (also called the Comforter, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth), GOD has established heaven and earth, and all living, and also resides within those in relationship to GOD through Jesus Christ.  As the Son of GOD (also called the Word, the Breath of Life, the Lamb of GOD) many unchanging divine operations, sacred purposes, and eternal functions are being completed and carried out.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
