(09/16/2014) A Sleep and a Second Death

Today, more is shared on death as a natural condition that is temporary, and as GOD’s tool to permanently end the existence of created beings and living creatures.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Death is a Divine Tool (09/15/2014)—(5.)  In addition to instruction regarding the coming of Jesus Christ to harvest the earth of those in relationship with GOD as redeemed and saved through his ministry, the holy writings describe the completion of judgment, and the destruction of sinners in the second death.  As an aspect of finite being, all mankind is subject to “sleep” (the first death), and must complete a mortal existence.  The carnal and temporary form of death that we call sleep is a mechanical aspect of the human life process that now includes aging, decay, depletion, disease, injury, and infirmity.  As such, the condition of death is not negotiable, does not of itself fulfill eternal purpose, and is unavoidable through the operations of human will.  Resurrection comes into view through the operations of divine will whereby all will be awakened from sleep.  It remains, however, only those who enter into covenant with GOD before sleep will continue as permanently perfected by GOD through Jesus Christ.  See again 1st Corinthians 15:  21-26 and 50-57, Romans 5:  14-16, Romans 6:  3-13 and Ephesians 5:  1-21, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son:  the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.  But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.  All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him:  in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.  Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GODand not that he should return from his ways, and live?  But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned:  in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.  Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?  When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.  Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.  Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.  Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?  Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD.  Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.  Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit:  for why will ye die, O house of Israel?  For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD:  wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.  (Ezekiel 18:  20-32, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Mankind Destroyed? (01/24/2014); What Salvation Is (01/25/2014); That Mortal Children Die? (12/15/2013); Going It Alone? (12/16/2013); Only While We Live? (12/02/2013); Reveal Himself To All? (12/03/2013); After the Rapture? (11/01/2012); Opportunity to Repent (11/02/2012)

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (6.)  The first death is marked by the separation of ones spirit from ones flesh, a condition that is reversible through resurrection whereby body and spirit are rejoined.  In the second death, body, spirit and all that pertains to the makeup of those condemned by their own sin will be forever destroyed within the Lake of Fire, that was prepared for the devil and his angels.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
