(02/27/2015) POEM: MR. DYNAMITE

As Black History Month, 2015 draws to its close, I share another original poem acknowledging the incredible talent of arranger, composer, singer, live theater producer and performing artist, music record producer, and broadcast media owner, the Father of Funk, James Joseph Brown.  James Brown was among the many gifted black performers who transformed America’s popular culture, and created the music that further tore down the barriers of segregation.  Where once Brown could appear only on the “chittlin’ circuit” featuring five theaters showcasing entertainers within Negro communities (the Royal, Baltimore, MD; the Howard, DC; the Apollo, Harlem, NYC; the Regal, Chicago, IL; and the Earl, Philadelphia, PA), James Brown would later become one of the headline acts featured in Las Vegas, NV.  At one time Brown employed 40-50 people in his James Brown Revue; and performed some 330 one-nighters within a single year.

MR. DYNAMITE
[A Black History Memoir, 2015]

Part 1:  THERE WAS A TIME

A culture is more than what a people suffer
It’s also how and when they may rejoice
What it is that shines like wisdom, understanding
The trail they blaze for those yet to be born
The merit they will add to the efforts made by others
The treasures that they keep by choice
The light within their soul that they give voice

A heritage is what a people live in spite of trial
Beset by darkness, climbing to the heights
Fixing their gaze upon excellence
Training like those who enter the ring
Throwing bombs like Joe Lewis
Remaining unspoiled, impressing even whites
Jabbing and hooking, his lightning lefts and rights

Accomplishing survival, pursuing after change
Finding that companion who would heal
Learning to smile as a way of overcoming
Being smart enough, tough enough never to quit
To carry the burdens of love and purpose
To show yourself, the depth of all you feel
Guarding your heart, and still being for real

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine
So we indulged the madness of the days
We heard Cab, and Duke, and Lunceford
And self-taught Satchel Mouth who broke the mold
The musicianship of Nat King Cole
An array of talent, polished, worthy of praise
They said would never last, “its just a craze”

We knew would last forever, because they served
As a solid wall against the lonely nights
And the tossing, turning dreams of post-war equality
Accumulated day by day, paid for with our
Blood, sweat and tears
Shutting out the insults and the slights
Proving the dog that’s unafraid to bark is one that bites

For there were unintended benefits
Surrounded by our haters
Black organizations and institutions were maintained
Through hard work and careful use of money
We developed our own radio
Newspapers and theaters
And established places for those who were outstanding as creators

Where we could evoke an era
Placing a man in the context of his times
Not capturing every detail, yet, savoring his genius
Correctly splashing the canvass with broad strokes
Forbidden to paint a Black Caesar up in Harlem
Selling excitement for nickels and for dimes
A leader called to quell rioting and self-destructive crimes

Part 2:  MONEY WON’T CHANGE YOU

Because music is a lifeline, rhythm became our speech
Big Bands gave way to Rock and Roll
Street singer Doo-Wop became the cool
Where our value once was from our hands and backs
We honed our ability to tell a story through a song
Created a path from poverty that gave us more control
And America began to hear a music from the soul

The best began to set our minds on fire
With lessons for our hearts that challenged pride
We found the turmoil in our lives had meaning
Despite our limitations we could soar
For they performed by burning down the house
We no longer had to cringe and hide
We discovered we had wealth hidden inside

We crowned Jerry Butler the Ice Man
And we heard confession in a lover’s pleas
Because when he would sing, Your Precious Love
Humility and passion were in power
Before we could detect a change or move
He was melting by degrees
And when the song crescendoed he was singing from his knees

We called Aretha Franklin Natural Woman
The Queen of Soul whose messages were plain
To reach the goal of love that lasts forever
You have to dig down deep for buried treasures
With courage give yourself and only take
The risk of heartache, tears that stain
Ain’t no way to have its pleasure without also having its pain

We called James Brown The King of Soul
Who would not just entertain, the man would thrill
In the long line of American stars and showmen
JB was undisputed, far above them all
The circus, movies, Broadway, Wild West action
Compared to Barnum, Berkeley, Ziegfeld, Buffalo Bill
A Black man had more savvy and more skill

The Godfather of Soul compiled a list
Of hits, chart toppers, million-seller gold
There Was a Time, Bewildered, Think
Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag
Out of Sight, It’s a Man’s Man’s World
Try Me, the early successes, bold
The half of it just ain’t been told

The Payback, If You Leave Me I’ll Go Crazy
The curtain parted, and from the time you were seated
You would be showered with the fantastic
Everyone around you could feel the same affection
And we held what they were sharing as priceless
We never left feeling betrayed or cheated
Or that we ourselves could ever be defeated

Part 3.  NIGHT TRAIN

We only ever saw perfection raw, incredible
Before the day of the Elvis imitator
Tina Turner was called The Female James Brown
There was Little Royal and Lee Fields
Who sought to match him stroke for stroke
And wowed us honoring the innovator
And made it clear, there was none greater

Yeah, it was after work, and on the weekends
We didn’t just go to sit and see a show
We went to discover what others had gathered
In a world we knew was wider than our own
For our entertainers were welcome across the globe
All the places we could never go
Because we were still oppressed by ole Jim Crow

James Brown made you a traveler
His speaking voice was rasping and gritty
He punctuated almost every song
with moans, or shrieks and squeals
That some called screams, he appeared on stage
Immaculate, and sharp, dressed for every city
And would drive the band showing them no pity

He’d first come out in a tuxedo accented green
And dazzle the room with moves that were tight
And fly, then blow the girls a gentle kiss
And toss the crowd his soaked bow tie
The sweat in torrents like the rain
Rushing, giggling with delight
Someone would have a souvenir that night

In less time than we all could count to ten
He’d leave the stage, go off and make a change
Come back now wearing rhinestones set in blue
Accented with black and silver frets
Refreshed from head to toe, all clean and dry
The spotlight would reflect from off of his “do”
And sparkle from his patent leather shoe

We believed that Brown had played before the crowned heads of Europe
Had conquered meeting every trial and test
We had many names for the drummer
Who played jazz upon the organ and
Like David danced before the Lord with all his might
The Hardest Working Man In Show Business
Performing non-stop without a break or rest
And showing Black America had the best

We called him The Prisoner of Love
Soul Brother Number One
The children of the 70’s and 80’s were born
In a crucible he set ablaze
Because he connected to their parents
Who started out just looking to have fun
And felt they too could “say it loud” before the man was done

Part 4.  SUPERBAD

Brown would sound the “All aboard”
The Brownettes and Flames would hit the step in line
When you thought the show was winding down
Bobby Byrd would pitch in a baseball scene
With everyone dancing the strike out
A joyful celebration of life would erupt
That would be sweeter than cherry wine
And would tingle every spine

Again and again Brown would explode
Lighting everybody’s fuse
Without sorcery or witchcraft
He transformed the consciousness of every viewer
Performing Cold Sweat, Livin’ in America, Gravity
Oh Baby Don’t You Weep, paying dues
A black rainbow in motion changing hues

In the Land of a Thousand Dances
The troupe would go to work
They would Shotgun, do the Underdog
The Hitchhike and the Twist
The Popeye and the Puppet
Mickey’s Monkey, and the Jerk
Break out into the Boogaloo, and the fans would go berserk

He’d begin the show with a pompadour
A style of processed hair
Where lye would burn to make eyes turn
That became wild and disheveled right away
On one leg he would dance across the entire length of stage
Jaws would drop, and Brown would dare
To challenge even Fred Astaire

Some would jump up from their seats
start dancing in the aisle
The energies of youth and full abandon
Unafraid to be seen or heard in public
Shyness and timidity checked at the door
There was not a face within the place
That did not have a smile
Applauding Mr. Dynamite’s amazing grace and style

Brown was the star who would glimmer and flame
Introducing effects with black light
Florescent beams and stroboscopic streams
The night train would rumble by
You would listen to hear the conductor say the name of your hometown
And he’d speak it to your delight
Rippling like Edison photographs to every viewers sight

Falling to his knees in exhaustion
Bobby would help James limp across the floor
Carrying his suitcase and sobbing
he would tremble, wail and shake
We all would sing along, Please, Please, don’t go
He’d leap up to his feet, throw off his cape
And continue his song of love giving us more
And finally “forced” to leave the stage, the crowd would howl and roar

(02/26/2015) Divinely Sent Dreams?

Today, Scriptures are shared to clarify the difference between discernment and prophetic dreams as opposed to nightmares with occult or psychiatric interpretation of dreams.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Criss” (Level 1 with 93 points, a member since February 26, 2015) appeared to be entangled with the following:

Spiritual Dream/Warfare?

This is a question for those who believe in spiritual warfare etc. I'm Non-Denominational. Anyways to begin my story.. I get spiritual dreams.. where I can actually see/sense things that shouldn't be there.. usually I can get through it and sleep through the night..

However tonight was different.

I had a dream and I could sense something at my doorway (I could see it shifting around in my dream too)) and I guess it spooked me so much that I woke up.

I woke up at 2:00 am, its's now 3:00.. I don't sense it anymore that much.. I've had Elijah Streams playing for the past hour.

Has anyone else experienced this? What do you do to deal with it? Thanks.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.  If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.  But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.  Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.  If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.  For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.  And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.  For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.  (1st Corinthians 14:  26-33, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Prayer, Dreams and Messages? (01/27/2015); A Visit from an Angel? (10/20/2013); The Head Not The Tail? (10/21/2013)

“Criss”, prophetic dreams and visions sent from GOD all provide guidance and instruction.  Believers in Jesus Christ examine and decide upon the meaning of their dreams by applying the lessons and principles recorded in Scripture such as the following from the King James Version of the Bible:

(1.)   Acts 2:  16-18 (KJV):  16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;  17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:  and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:  18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

(2.)  Jeremiah 23:  28 (KJV):   The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

(3.)  Jeremiah 23:  32 (KJV):  Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them:  therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

(4.)  1st Corinthians 14:  1-3 (KJV):  Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.  2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God:  for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.  3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

Of course, there is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Ecclesiastes 5:  2-3 (KJV):  2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God:  for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth:  therefore let thy words be few.  For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/25/2015) How Do You Know?

Certainty, peace of mind, and Scriptures that are the foundation for our belief that we will live eternally with Christ are in view, today.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Super Duper Pious Man” (Level 2 with 664 points, a member since December 30, 2014) attacked using the following:

Christians, how do you know that you going to be going to heaven? What if you forget to repent for a sin?

Update: You could go to hell for eating shellfish, then when you forget you'll be in hell right next to me! Don't worry I save you a spot in the shallows

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.  (1st John 1:  5-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014); The Bible is Unchanging? (03/23/2014); Genuine Repentance? (03/24/2014); When Is A Law The LAW? (03/25/2014); Saul of Tarsus (03/26/2014); A Golden Ticket? (11/30/2012); And This Was Good News (12/01/2012); Does Everyone Go To Heaven? (10/28/2012); Magick and Prayers? (10/29/2012)

“Super Duper Pious Man”, Christian believers depend upon revelation and sacred knowledge in the forms of divine promise and prophecy such as the following:

(1.)  Numbers 23:  19, KJV:  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

(2.)  John 4:  23-24, KJV:  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

(3.)   John 14:  1-3, KJV:  Let not your heart be troubled:  ye believe in God, believe also in me.  2 In my Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

As with all the things dealing with divinity, there is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  John 17:  24-26, KJV:  24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me:  for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.  25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee:  but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.  26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/24/2015) Prayer in Public?

The proper places for private, public and secret prayer are considered today along with the Savior’s condemnation of counterfeit religious displays and vainglory (we say, showing off).  The prophecies of Jesus to condemn hypocrisy and self-promotion do not contradict the divine exhortations to continue good works, importunity, intercession, devotions performed out-of-doors, and shared prayer.  Given that the gathering places once set apart only for service to GOD now also are used as social halls, community centers, and auditoriums for civic service, amusement and recreation, church sanctuaries are often defiled and profaned by personal chatter, gossip, quarrels and whispering. Some congregations even display cadavers and honor their dead in the areas once strictly set apart for intimacy with GOD by divine laws against uncleanness. While the tabernacle and temple were divinely chosen as locations for oracles, offerings and sacrifice, no specific place was commanded by Deity as the setting for prayer.  Prayer has been neither forbidden nor required on the basis of age and gender criteria; and group prayer is practiced by as few as two partners as well as by many more than one hundred.  (See Acts 1:  12-15, Acts 21:  4-6, 1st Timothy 2:  1-6 and James 5:  13-18, KJV.)  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Yk” (Level 2 with 397 points, a member since February 05, 2015) attacked using the following:

When Christians pray in public like a church is that the same as praying in a closet with the door shut like Jesus Christ said to pray?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them:  otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:  That thine alms may be in secret:  and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.  And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are:  for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.  But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:  for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  Be not ye therefore like unto them:  for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.  After this manner therefore pray ye:  Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  (Matthew 6:  1-9, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Saved by a Prayer? (10/31/2014); Is Prayer an Act of Faith? (11/01/2014); Perfection and Prayer? (08/27/2014); Prayer not Enough? (07/12/2013); A Tree Falls To The South (07/13/2013); Outgrowing Childhood Prayers? (04/07/2013);  Confessing Only to GOD? (04/08/2013)

“Yk”, here are a few points that many Christian believers take into account regarding prayer:

(1.)  Prayer is one form of intimate communication between believers and divinity that permits multiple forms of heartfelt exchange and interaction.  Included are acceptance, agreement, appeal, approval, confession, dedication, intercession, lamentation, listening, petition, praise, promise, sacrifice, sealing, and submission.

(2.)  Because prayer also cleanses and sets apart for service (we say, sanctifies), the sanctuary of most church buildings are accounted anointed, consecrated, and purified through prayer.  Thereby, as though it were the upper room recorded in scripture, the area where believers assemble becomes their most holy place wherein they may receive the divine presence; and it is not simply because of its size that congregations gather there for instruction, prayer, and worship.

(3.)  No believer ever prays alone.  Their prayers are joined to those of the angels, to those of Christ and the Holy Spirit as well as to those of every other believer who was, who is, and who will be.  Thus, the power of a single prayer is amplified and multiplied.

As with all the things of our salvation, there is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Believers pray without fear in all places (the home, the workplace, the battlefield) understanding that nothing can separate us from the love of GOD in Christ.  The assembly or body is itself a “closed setting” wherein believers may offer prayer as though concealed and hidden.  Outsiders may hear or see the carnal dimensions that indicate believers are praying such as bowing the head, folding the hands, or bending the knee.  However, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit are in a direct communication that does not even require speaking aloud.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/23/2015) Deliverance A Benefit Of Salvation?

Today, points are shared showing that the removal of bad habits, self-destructive behavior and uncleanness also are necessary aspects of salvation.  Many Christian believers continue to be challenged by health problems associated with diet, food, and poverty; and the many divine operations for our salvation along with our transformation to continue with Christ as immortal and incorruptible are not yet completed and fully in place.  The sacred gifts that have been received include those that equip believers to abide and persevere (e.g., forgiveness, joy, longsuffering, patience).  Presently, those who are born again have only an earnest of the Spirit, (we say, a good-faith deposit; a down-payment; an installment; an initial portion) of what we are to receive that establishes eternal life.  Even so, believers are given enough to continue in such ongoing process for permanent change as acquiring spiritual knowledge, fellowship among the elect, practice of sacraments, praise, and prayer.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using “quaz” as their ID (Level 7 with 66,639 points, a member since February 26, 2010) attacked using the following errors:

Why do christians have the notion that giving up some harmful activity is the same as salvation?

true they have the experience. but god's activity of saving has nothing to do with our experience.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For we are saved by hope:  but hope that is seen is not hope:  for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:  for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:  but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:  and whom he called, them he also justified:  and whom he justified, them he also glorified.  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  (Romans 8:  24-34, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Masturbation and Religion? (02/01/2015); Life Choices (12/14/2013); That Mortal Children Die? (12/15/2013); Salvation is Conditional? (01/30/2014); Lower-case or Capital? (01/31/2014); What Salvation Is (01/25/2014); Bible Justice? (01/26/2014); GOD Intervenes? (07/01/2013); Lot and the Angels (05/04/2014); Expulsion from Eden (05/05/2014); Jericho Justified? (07/02/2013); When Jesus Comes Back? (04/19/2013); What’s The Way Out? (04/20/2013)

“quaz”, here are a few points to consider based upon the platforms for stable Christian belief that appear in the holy writings.  All believers are called to perform service and work that require soundness of body, mind and spirit:

(1.)  From Mark 12:  26-27, KJV (26 And as touching the dead, that they rise:  have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?  27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living:  ye therefore do greatly err.)  The many eternal purposes of divinity for created beings and living creatures are understood as agreeing in a putting forth of existence, life, active presence, and unique person.

(2.)  From Mark 12:  29-31, KJV (29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:  this is the first commandment.  31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.)  Continuing relationship is to appear through covenant, exchange, interaction, and sharing made possible by the living serving as vessels of spirit content from the makeup of Deity.  Included are such aspects of divinity as faith, forgiveness, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  From 1st Corinthians 6:  12-13, KJV (12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient:  all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.  13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats:  but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.)  Addictions, extremes of appetite, and unclean habits result from bondage to sin that opposes acknowledgment of divine law, the Law Giver, the processes of health and wholeness for the living, the processes for praise and worship, and the continued existence of a universe maintained through divine order.

(4.)  From 1st Corinthians 6:  18-20, KJV (18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  20 For ye are bought with a price:  therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.)  Sexual joining is always on multiple levels such as the emotional, the physical, the psychological, and the spiritual.  For this reason, ones inborn spirit may become confounded and defiled through the unseen spirits within a sex partner.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  From 1st Corinthians 3:  16-17, KJV (16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.)  Believers must acknowledge the uninterrupted presence of GOD within.  Granting deliverance and life more abundantly, Christ also is known as “the Chainbreaker” having authority and power to release the spirit within believers from all conflicting and destroying influences.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/22/2015) Forced To Attend Church?

Today, points are shared on church attendance as a benefit and duty for developing Christian believers, and conversion to Islam to avoid “god”.  Those having nothing to offer, and who do not participate to add value, are useless and their absence will be ignored.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using an ID “Luca” (Level 1 with 4 points, a member since February 27, 2014) attacked with the following:

Why do I have to go to church?

I lost my faith in this thing people call a god and I want to convert to Islam but my parents won't let me I want to follow a religion of peace

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:  I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:  be zealous therefore, and repent.  (Revelation 3:  14-19, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Dating and Worship? (09/11/2014); Quality Time Together? (09/12/2014); Choosing a Church? (05/31/2014); Philosophical Questions? (04/17/2014); To Accomplish A Sacred Goal (04/18/2014); Church is Good? (06/15/2013); Feeling Loved By GOD? (06/16/2013); Church Mandatory? (05/06/2013); A GOD of Love? (05/07/2013)

“Luca”, here are some points to consider on young people attending church, a place to gain sacred knowledge:

(1.)  Going to church without faith is like going to a movie without eyes to see.  You must depend upon what you hear to grant you “inner sight;” and you go to get what you lack and are missing—even the miracle of baptism whereby your inborn spirit that is dead to GOD finally will be buried, and you can be granted new life (we say, rebirth) from divine DNA, so to speak.

(2.)  Going to church is not simply about you as an individual, it is also about you as a family member displaying love; having respect to friends, neighbors and parents; and sharing what you receive that has spiritual value to others.

(3.)  Spirit content in life events can only be recognized, received, applied, responded to, and properly understood (we say, discerned) through association with those having greater levels of spiritual awareness than your own, and through careful practice that extends over time.  Spiritual maturity does not occur by abracadabra or presto change-o.

(4.)  Your idea that Islam does not acknowledge any god is very dangerous as well as insulting to those who worship Allah.  If one of your friends said to you, “Give me your word, and promise me something.”  Wouldn’t you ask, “What?” before making a commitment that might mean life and death?  Make sure you know the meaning of peace (among men?  with divinity?  through divine judgment or human wars?); and accept you will be required to change so that you continually demonstrate discipline, right knowledge, and unselfish service (as all Christians must do).

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Lasting relationships within families are only on the basis of accountability, shared experience, a one-of-a-kind common heritage (we also say, inheritance), obedience, respect, trust, and truth.  More benefits are involved than a defiant or rebellious child can possibly grasp through a verbal explanation.  For those who are still developing, being required to attend church is no more brain-washing or bullying than being required to be in bed by a certain hour.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/20/2015) Keeping Divine Law Impossible?

Divine intent, eternal purpose and sacred law come into view, today.  Divine law existed before the creation of earth, heaven and mankind, and will continue long after the end of mortality and final judgment.  There will never be condemnation of the holy writings (some say, the Scriptures), holy law, or the imparted, indwelling Spirit that appears as faith.  Even so, authoritative statements from the New Testament also explain the divine provision of the new covenant through the blood of Jesus Christ on the basis of limitations and shortcomings discovered through earlier presentations of sacred law as well as on the basis of salvation through faith for the heathen who were outside the covenants and law known among the Hebrews.  For example see Acts 7:  52-54, 2nd Corinthians 3:  4-14, Galatians 3:  7-14, Hebrews 7:  11-19, Hebrews 11:  6, Romans 7:  14-25 and Romans 8:  1-9, King James Version.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Ser” (Level 1 with 4 points, a member since August 19, 2014) attacked using the following:

Question to Christians: If it was "impossible" to keep God's Laws, then, why would God give us Laws that were impossible to keep?

Update : Does Deuteronomy 30:11
say: 11Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:  and these are contrary the one to the other:  so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:  of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Meekness, temperance:  against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  (Galatians 5:  14-25, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  No Mystery in Lawful Judgment (07/28/2014); Divine Law for Mankind? (07/29/2014); Divine Law Speaks of Spirit? (07/30/2014); Grace is Not Against Law (07/23/2014); Cruel and Offensive (07/24/2014); Newness of Spirit? (01/04/2013); Two Different Testaments? (01/05/2013); The Place for Eternal Life? (01/06/2013)

“Ser”, here are a few points shared among Christian believers whereby many discern the proper place of divine law within the kingdom ruled by the Lord:

(1.)  Covenant relationship through divine law and promise have been proclaimed and provided both as the clear revelation that GOD, who is spirit, is active and present upon the earth, and as the assurance that various spiritual benefits from divinity will continually be supplied to created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  Sin is an artifact of Creation (perhaps a residue) and has no spirit content from GOD.  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence that may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the universe ordered and maintained through sacred law.  Because sin “appears” as a natural, normal, and continuing aspect of ones own independent being, many fail to recognize the operation of sin as foreign and hostile to their own existence and purpose.  Sin generates death, and separates the living from their source who is divinity.

(3.)  Not all divine law (the expressed will of GOD) should be spoken of as “impossible to keep;” and the law has appeared throughout human history in various forms.  The law for Adam (the divine name for both male and female) was not the code supplied to those who accompanied Moses from Egypt.  The law for us today, is not the same as for Abraham or David.  Even so, in the same way it is impossible to maintain ones health without a basic knowledge of the danger and safety provided by various life conditions and settings, a common sense understanding of diet and food, discipline for ones appetite when aroused with hunger, and mature self-control to resist everything poisonous, it is impossible for those who are partners in covenant with divinity to correctly carry out divine law without sacred knowledge and an inner nature that responds to the active presence and person of divinity.  Such finite tools as intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy, politics, secular knowledge, and science have not been sufficient to correctly detect, eliminate, remove, and resist sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Without the fresh endowment of spirit content provided through the ministry of Jesus Christ, created beings and living creatures experience the law as a barrier and a stumbling block, rather than a tool for expression, order and structure that provides the stable foundation for eternal life.   Rightly understood, there are multiple expressions for life within the law.  Included are atonement, balance, completeness, consolation, correction, forgiveness, justice, mercy, purification, and sanctification.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/19/2015) A Creator No Longer Needed?

The idea that divinity only existed for the creation of mankind is considered, today.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “SupaStar” (Level 3 with 1,627 points, a member since August 07, 2014) attacked with the following:

Assume this universe was created by a christian-type god, because that god was "necessary" for the creation. How does one...?

...now make the determination that this christian-type god did not cease to exist AFTER the creation that "was required the necessary christian-type god?"
This universe was "created", thus, fulfilling the necessary role, but, now that it has been created, that "necessary" thing is no longer necessary.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  (Romans 8:  15-23, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Believers and Evolution? (02/02/2015); Divine Purpose? (01/08/2015); The First Book of the Bible? (11/20/2014); The Beginning of Wisdom? (11/21/2014); Evil is not Sin? (09/22/2013); Moses Killed? (09/23/2013); A Start for the Idea of GOD? (09/09/2013); The Bible and Genealogy (09/10/2013)

“SupaStar”, here are a few points to consider shared among those who acknowledge the power of divine forgiveness to cleanse, correct, heal and refresh the living:

(1.)  You are also assuming duration for the existence of the Creator has been generated by and completed through a single act, and a single purpose.  You suggest that, a deity with the enormous capabilities, knowledge, wisdom and power to fashion every minute detail for indefinite continuance of material, emotional, mental and spiritual process is unable to maintain, preserve, or propagate divinity.

(2.)  The divine nature may only be correctly known by finite created beings and living creatures through operations of deity in a continuing relationship that will further demonstrate and reveal the active presence and person of GOD who is a spirit.  Creation of the earth within a universe having multiple layers of content must be understood as only a “surface” and single sacred event (some say, miracle).

(3.)  For a complete and full description of divinity to have a meaningful place within the consciousness of the living, the created also must contain within themselves aspects of the divine makeup that may be recognized without them becoming arrogant, self-centered and self-exalting.  Included are such inseparable features as faith, holiness, humility, longsuffering, love, meekness, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Given that all things created are experienced by the living as lasting only for a measurable period of time and are limited in their temporal duration, the primary anchors and fixed referents that serve as guidelines and frameworks for stable order and meaning must be eternal and permanent.  Thus, Creation endures as continued growth, rebirth, and transformation both for things seen and things unseen.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  While the Creation proclaims the identity of GOD in terms recognizable to the living through material objects that may be examined using ones senses (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting), there also must be an awareness of divinity through higher operations of ones spirit content.  Thus, Judgment (resolution of conflict and the settlement of disputes through divine law) proclaims the impartiality, mercy and righteousness of GOD; Resurrection proclaims sovereignty over death as well as life; and Salvation demonstrates the divine commitment to communion, exchange and eternal life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/18/2015) The Baptist and The Tishbite?

Old and New Testament prophecies concerning the coming of Christ are in view, today, such as Malachi 4: 5-6 and Luke 1:  16-18, KJV.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using “cosmo” as their ID (Level 7 with 114,460 points, a member since September 05, 2006) attacked with the following:

In Christian mythology, what does it mean that John the Baptist (a real, historical person) is Elijah (legendary prophet) who is to come?

Does this mean that Christian mythology includes reincarnation?
Didn't Elijah already exist centuries before?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?  And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.  And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.  Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?  He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.  And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.  And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?  John answered them, saying, I baptize with water:  but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;  He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.  These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  (John 1:  19-29, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why Prophets Were Sent to Israel (11/23/2014); The Need for Prophecy Then and Now (11/24/2014); The Body of Moses (05/11/2014); GOD Permits Evil? (05/12/2014); Prophetic Demonstrations (09/06/2013); Why GOD Prayed to GOD (09/07/2013); Jesus and the Pharisees (07/14/2013); How Could Angels Fall? (07/15/2013); Both Born Holy? (04/29/2013); Scripture at Funerals? (04/30/2013)

“cosmo”, here are a few points to consider that have helped many Christian believers avoid error, foolishness and spiritual confusion:

(1.)  Christian belief appears as the product of exchanges, interactions, and operations among, upon and within multiple aspects of a person’s spirit content.  Conviction that results through the active presence and person of divinity can not be correctly and completely understood using finite, material or mechanical academic disciplines and tools such as history, intellect, logic, philosophy, and science.  There must be sacred (not secular) knowledge that is not derived from abstract analysis, labeling, and experimental manipulation.

(2.)  Using language from literary criticism and scholarly study, both Elijah and John the Baptist are types (i.e., figures and symbols that identify a peculiar class or concept appearing throughout the holy writings).  The idea of “reincarnation” with a changing, eternal continuation of ones existence does not appear at all in the Scriptures.  Yet, there are resurrection from the dead for judgment; rebirth through baptism, repentance and sanctification; as well as translation from life to eternal life without the occurrence of death.

(3.)  Among the many things you may not know, Elijah performed several miracles (we say, sacred events), and was taken up to GOD by a chariot of fire, yet, also appeared with Moses to Jesus before the Lord’s crucifixion.  The destruction of Jerusalem with captivity and exile saw a break in the line of priests and prophets that had gone forth from those who left Egypt.  John the Baptist, who received the Holy Spirit before he actually was born, was the first to appear among the Jews in more than 400 years that met the criteria for both priests and prophets recorded in the holy writings—an abiding spirit from GOD.   Similarly, in addition to prophet, Jesus demonstrated the anointing as High Priest, judge, king, redeemer, and savior.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  The stream of prophecy is essential for the sacred operation of revelation whereby created beings and living creatures are given an experience of continuing consciousness from GOD, who is immutable, invisible, unchanging spirit and can not be apprehended using only sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), emotion, and mental functions.  Jesus Christ appeared as an incarnation of GOD in the earth to fulfill and validate the revelation documented among those in covenant with divinity, and provide further assurance that all the many proclamations from GOD definitely will be carried out and completed.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/17/2015) Those Who Read?

The value of the holy writings for reading, study, and spiritual growth are topics, today.  A “Yahoo! Answers” fighter using the ID “Raul” (Level 1 with 206 points, a member since January 18, 2015) attacked with the following:

Why is it most religious people (catholics and christians) haven't read the bible?

I mean i've met lots if not hundreds of people (because i usually move around a lot) and I've noticed that most of the catholics and christians haven't even read 1/5 of their holy book. I mean, their whole religion and faith are based on this book and the haven't read it. Like wtf? I've read more than half of it, but decided it was a waste of time.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,  But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:  To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.  (Romans 16:  25-27, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Gift of Meekness (11/25/2014); Concerning Meekness (11/26/2014); The First Book of the Bible? (11/20/2014); The Beginning of Wisdom? (11/21/2014); The Scriptures and Perfection? (10/27/2014); Catholics, Protestants and the Trinity? (10/12/2014); The Gift of Life Despised? (10/13/2014)

“Raul”, here are a few points that add value for those having place in the kingdom of Jesus Christ, however, it requires you take time to consider them:

(1.)  Those who carefully read and re-read the Bible are those who have made a commitment to share in a community of faith.  Various aspects of communication, exchange and interaction must come into view including accountability, duty, respect, and trust.

(2.)  Many who read understand that their awareness and consciousness must be directed to things that are outside the spheres of academics, politics and current events (we say, carnal living) in order for their spirit content to be altered, nourished, properly applied to continue their own salvation as well as to unselfishly serve divinity.

(3.)  Those who are born again through baptism (death and burial of ones inborn spirit; rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak) also must “grow up” again.  While believers are endowed with inseparable aspects from the makeup of Deity (such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin), all must mature and become perfected by “works” like acquiring sacred knowledge, fellowship with other believers, praise, prayer, repentance, and worship.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Those who embrace the holy writings also acknowledge that their understanding must be achieved through operations of the Spirit imparted from GOD.  In the same way finite human intelligence, logic, mathematics, philosophy and science do not eliminate, remove, and resist sin, they can not establish the clear and full revelation of divinity.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/16/2015) To Drink Holy Blood?

Today, points are shared on the intent and value of the Lord’s Supper that is observed among Christian believers.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answer” using the ID “Will” (Level 2 with 556 points, a member since January 20, 2015) posted the following:

Why did Jesus want his buddies to drink his blood? Did he had some kind of blood drinking fetish?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.  Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.  I am that bread of life.  Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.  This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.  I am the living bread which came down from heaven:  if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever:  and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.  The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.  (John 6:  45-56, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  How Can One Man Die? (02/09/2015); Modern Communion? (08/11/2014);  How Can Christians Believe? (08/12/2014); The Bread of GOD (03/01/2014); Belief, Faith, and Proof (03/02/2014); Forgiveness Through GOD? (02/02/2014); Obliged to Disregard? (02/03/2014); Everything a Lie? (10/05/2013); Sacrificed and Risen? (10/06/2013); Eat His Body, Drink His Blood (03/21/2013); Foolish For Not Believing? (03/22/2013)

“Will”, many of those who traveled everywhere Jesus would go became offended, and would no longer follow once he began to teach of his crucifixion and their need to drink his blood.  They ignorantly believed this meant they should become “cannibals”.  Here are a few points that have helped many Christian believers avoid such confusion about the things given mankind by GOD appearing incarnate (having human form):

(1.)  The operations of GOD to establish existence for the universe and all it may contain are also through created beings and living creatures serving as vessels of divine content.  Those who endure as eternal companions, heirs, and the offspring to divinity must display inseparable aspects from the makeup of Deity such as faith, holiness, love, longsuffering, mercy, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(2.)  The many sacred acts that permit recognition of divine person and active presence include atonement, Creation, judgment, forgiveness, incarnation, rebirth, redemption, resurrection, salvation, and sanctification.  While many err thinking these merely to be demonstrations of human behavior and emotion, consciousness of GOD requires multiple sacred operations that are carried on using unseen agents.  Because carnal, mechanical, physical and social elements must appear complementing and harmonized with things that are invisible, we speak of unity for the natural with the supernatural, the flesh with the spirit.

(3.)  As far as we know, transfusions and the modern-day medical techniques to exchange and introduce blood into a living person did not exist during the ancient ministry of Jesus upon the earth.  Yet, it was understood that “blood is the life;” and the eating of blood was forbidden.  Blood is a material mechanism and vehicle that may carry the essence of life (we say, breath, spirit, word) to the various parts of ones body.  Using the commonly held understandings of the day, the Lord spoke in terms of human appetite and processes of the flesh (eating and drinking).  Yet, his blood was not to be thought of as some magic elixir.  It is the imparted, indwelling spirit of Christ that must be internalized and received for there to be healing and spiritual power as well as for the correct recognition, response, and resistance against sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Only those in an intimate relationship with GOD through Christ are privileged to receive the blessings that come by eating the sacred bread and drinking the consecrated wine that are emblems of divinity.  Rightly understood, only those being accountable, discharging sacred duties, and alive through the Holy Spirit are those to be nourished through the Lord’s Supper (some say, Holy Communion, the Eucharist).  Jesus demonstrated no sexual fantasies and fetishes that you may have learned of in becoming a psychiatric health professional, or worker in psychology.  The Lord’s profession while on earth was that of a counselor, judge, king, mediator, pastor, priest, prophet, redeemer, and savior.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(02/15/2015) Judge Thy Neighbor?

Divine love, judgment and the revelation of eternal righteousness are topics, today.  It has been suggested that, where Christian believers love their neighbor as they love themselves, they should also judge their neighbor as they judge themselves.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Some” (Level 1 with 8 points, a member since December 02, 2014) posted the following:

Should Christians change the saying love thy neighbor to judge thy neighbor?

I see more of them judging than loving

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  We are of God:  he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.  Beloved, let us love one another:  for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.  (1st John 4:  6-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  What to Do About Liars? (11/14/2014); Refraining Our Tongues? (11/15/2014); Scriptures and Judging Others (03/12/2014); Faith Given By GOD (03/13/2013); The Benefit of Law? (11/15/2013); Are Holidays Bad? (11/16/2013)

“Some”, here are a few points to consider that continue to challenge mature Christian believers, who agree they are made in the image of a god of Judgment:

(1.)  Divinity is being made known and visible to mankind through many different sacred devices and operations.  In addition to such process as birth, death, hope, love, promise, and prophecy, the character and nature of the Creator is further revealed and shown through judgment whereby direction, meaning and value are acknowledged and permanently assigned.  While condemnation and punishment may appear as aspects of judgment, features vital for continuity of life also appear such as approval, balance, correction, forbearance, forgiveness, impartiality, mercy, and righteousness.

(2.)  Those who are “born again” become altered through baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth having substance from the content of divinity).  Through unseen operations by the Spirit of GOD, believers are provided with a fresh endowment of such sacred substances from the makeup of Deity as faith, holiness, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Believers must “grow up” again facing life challenges upon the earth.  Thus, all must gradually acquire sacred knowledge through study of the Scriptures; become skilled as having discernment (using ones own spirit content to recognize and respond to the spirit matter in events, experiences, other persons, statements, etc.); enter into fellowship with other believers; maintain practices for spiritual growth (we say, sacraments); and be in communication with divinity through prayer.

(3.)  The covenant with GOD shared through Jesus Christ is also an agreement to accept, display, and foster divine love expressed through sacred admonitions, instruction, law, proclamations, and warnings.  With the “good news” of Jesus having triumphed over death in resurrection, we also have it that Christ is our advocate, High Priest, mediator, and spokesperson in all divine judgment.  Sin appears as “non-material”, “non-spirit” phenomena that can not be eliminated using finite tools of intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy, and science.  Atonement for sin that can only be accomplished through applications of holy blood has been completed through the sacrifice of the cross.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Believers share their knowledge of sacred law, and extend their own discipline and rule of truth to others as a divine gift.  Sacred judgment is always a blessing, for judgment is the resolution of conflict and the settlement of disputes through hallowed law.  Peace is never the outcome of war; war repeatedly promotes bitterness, distrust, fear, hate, loss, resentment, and more war.  Peace is the fruit of righteous judgment.  We say believers are the “salt of the earth” partly because, those having no direct part in the covenant of love with Christ may still receive benefit through the operations of judgment within his holy kingdom.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  (Colossians 1:  10-20, KJV)

“Counselor For Lost Souls”, here are a few points to consider that are in line with Christian belief:

(1.)  Because it appears to be true that all humans come into a world that operates on the basis of continuing processes that exist before their birth, questions about the origin of life and material existence become necessary for complete and correct intellectual order.  Yet, just as the beginning of humanity is difficult to describe as having been entirely from human substance and the social order that we see today, the starting point for full sacred knowledge is not easily explained as deriving from human awareness, curiosity, or scientific observation.

(2.)  Christians are challenged to understand that GOD is a spirit who is known through effects and patterns displayed by and within created beings and living creatures, the spheres of their existence (e.g., earth, heaven, the sea, the universe), and the conditions and terms for their endurance.  Only GOD is immortal; angels and the sacred beasts of heaven are neither mortal nor immortal; and mankind is now mortal, and relies upon the frameworks of time and space to structure consciousness.  The makeup of divinity may be spoken of as consisting only of inseparable and permanent aspects of spirit matter.  Where one appears, all appear; and may vary in their balance and proportion.  Thus, faith (made up only of faith), holiness (made up only of holiness), are understood as interacting with such other spirit matter as longsuffering, love, righteousness, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  What you seem to be calling “the God concept” is what believers call “revelation”, the system of premises, principles, and sacred events put forth by our invisible Creator to establish awareness of divine person, continuing relationship with Deity, divine order, and eternal purpose.  Sin has not been created by GOD, and is neither a material or spirit substance.  Even so, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the Creation maintained and regulated through law.  Sin within the living is self-destructive; and may not control or influence divine will.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Human error is an artifact of self-will.  The possibilities for life expression among mankind permit display of a basic and “animal” nature, yet, there also is the potential for achievement of both a distinctly human and a godly nature as well.  In agreement with the belief that mankind is the creation of divinity, correct and full attainment of acceptance and spiritual unity with GOD requires action taken by divinity as well as peculiar forms of communication (e.g., praise, prayer, promise, worship), exchanges, and interactions of spirit with flesh.  Using the finite tools of intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy and science, mankind can not eliminate sin.  Humanity must receive the fresh endowments of sacred substance now available through the ministry of Jesus Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.

(02/12/2015) Ruling With Christ?

Today, focus is upon the promise that believers will reign as kings and priests with Christ.  Some of those chosen to be apostles of the Lord at first were ambitious, proud, secular-minded, and self-promoting.  They followed Jesus only because they coveted position, titles, and wealth.  Similar errors also exist within the hearts of modern believers.  Yet, Jesus Christ has demonstrated that divine rule is accomplished by ministries of atonement, change, grace, forgiveness, law, love, mercy, rest, and revelation.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Mark” (Level 2 with 999 points, a member since July 08, 2012) posted the following:

Do you believe that, one day, YOU will be RULING all the nations with Jesus Christ?

Don't laugh. Some denominations teach this. Well, at least one CULT teaches this. I am putting this in Religion and Spirituality. Hopefully, it goes there.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?  When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?  And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.  Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.  And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.  And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?  But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.  But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.  This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.  For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist:  but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.  (Luke 7:  19-28, KJV)

THE DOUBLE ARROW:  A Kingdom Now and One To Come? (09/05/2014); Comfort? (09/06/2014); The Ruler Of the Earth? (05/01/2014); Parables About the Kingdom? (05/02/2014); Mankind Destroyed? (01/11/2014); Why Christians Pray for Others (01/12/2014); The Earth Made New (11/13/2013); Hierarchy (11/14/2013); The Place for Eternal Life? (01/06/2013); Therefore There Was Trust (01/07/2013)

“Mark”, many trust that their rule as believers will continue as through Christ, not along with Christ.  Here are some ideas that are being found useful to keep Christian believers anchored and grounded:

(1.)  Divine government and eternal order are accomplished through operations of awareness, self-will, and the spirit matter that reside within created beings and living creatures.  Because there is a necessary division of labor, there are many offices and roles that must work together to accomplish sacred purposes, and authority to direct and manage events must also appear.  However, the essential process of eternal life does not emerge as hierarchy and ranking.  Shared harmony and fruitfulness are achieved through accountability, self-control, self-discipline, and self-government practiced within covenant and intimate relationships as children of GOD.

(2.)  Divine rule is invested in born-again believers so they may carry out and perform divine will.  For this reason, believers become repositories of sacred knowledge, divine law, and inseparable spirit matter from the makeup of Deity.  Through the ministries of Jesus Christ, believers are provided with a fresh endowment of the same essence that was breathed into Adam.  Included are faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Presently, among men, there must be many devices and practices to establish a temporal ruler as exalted, or possessing power to benefit others.  In addition to awarding  “plums” (e.g., media interviews, jobs, control of manpower, offices, and privileged titles), even elected officials make displays intervening in legal cases, setting policies, and using technology (computers, smartphones, satellite communications) and private transportation (automobiles, helicopters, small jet planes, trains).  Such rule may be maintained through ambition, deception, defiance, irreverence, lies, false promises, ostentation (we say, fronting, posing, and showing off), propaganda, and violence.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Eternal rule requires eternal life and eternal spirit.  Those Christian believers who will be made immortal and incorruptible will exist having oneness—diversity, equality and legitimacy without sameness.  Believers will selflessly rule as they are within the heart and mind of Christ, not as competing, independent or separate monarchs.  The principle of unity whereby the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are in constant agreement will characterize the kingdom of GOD and the earth made new.  GOD and Christ will be present upon the earth, and the earlier separations of heaven, the temple, and sin will no longer exist.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.
