(05/31/2015) Can The Bible Be Increased?

Today, points are shared on expanding the Bible to include sacred events and teachings since the time of the Apostles.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Denis” (Level 1 with points not shown, a member since July 25, 2013) posted the following:

Will more material ever be added to the Holy Bible?

It has been nearly two millennia since the last books of the New Testament were written and a lot has happened since then. The Christian church has seen countless amounts of apparitions, martyrdoms, sainthoods, and almost everything in between. Surely, if Mother Mary did appear to the three children at Fatima, such records should be infixed into the bible, perhaps as part of an appendix? What do you think?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.  And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:  but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  (2nd Peter 1:  16-21, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Those Who Read? (02/17/2015); The Scriptures and Perfection? (10/27/2014); Catholics, Protestants and the Trinity? (10/12/2014); The Gift of Life Despised? (10/13/2014); Points on Bible Study (06/28/2014); The Nature of Scripture (03/27/2014); Divine Sleep (03/28/2014); Why Not One Bible? (11/02/2013); Why Jesus Used Parables (11/03/2013)

“Denis”, the Bible is a fixed collection and library of holy writings that only may be clarified, commented upon, read, respected, shared, or exhaustively and prayerfully studied.  Here are some of the responses within the Bible that should be relied upon by the followers of Jesus Christ:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 4:  1-2, King James Version (KJV):  1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.  2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

(2.)  Proverbs 30:  5-6, KJV:  5 Every word of God is pure:  he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.  6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

(3.)  Revelation 1:  1-3, KJV:  1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:  2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein:  for the time is at hand.

(4.)  John 20:  30-31, KJV:  30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:  31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (5.)  Revelation 22:  17-19, KJV:  17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.  18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(05/29/2015) Using Parables to Obscure the Gospel?

Today, answer is made to the charge that Christ used parables to deny and frustrate those desiring to receive the Gospel.  The “Yahoo! Answers” fighter using ID “rrocketmangurung” (Level 3 with 1,873 points, a member since April 06, 2015) accuses the Savior of error using the following challenge:

Why would Jesus deliberately obscure the gospel by speaking in parables so that people would not understand, turn, and be forgiven?

(Mark 4:11-12) Did he not come that all men might be saved?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.  He hath made every thing beautiful in his time:  also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.  (Ecclesiastes 3:  10-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Parables About the Kingdom? (05/02/2014); Loving Someone Unseen? (05/05/2014); Why Jesus Authored No Books (05/01/2013); Recognizing True Prophets (05/02/2013); Why Jesus Used Parables (11/03/2013); Denying Baptism to Others (11/04/2013)

“rrocketmangurung”, while Christian belief may be shared as plain, it is no less a comprehensive system of sacred knowledge and practices.  Here are a few points every Christian must take into account for complete, correct understanding:

(1.)  The revelation of divinity to all created beings and living creatures is an eternal and profound sacred process.  While all may seek to approach GOD using simple acts and expressions intended to convey such awareness as awe, humility, material needs, respect, trust, and truth, full acknowledgment, obedience and worship must occur all at the same time, and upon multiple levels.

(2.)  The divine operations to proclaim divine forbearance and forgiveness for sin, and the work to make visible the kingdom of GOD in the earth can not be separated from that focused upon discovering and permanently binding together the elect (we say, the work of assigning value and judgment).  The Immortal, Invisible GOD appeared using flesh in the person of Jesus Christ (the Incarnation); a further indication that, men are to be drawn to Deity, not driven and subjugated through violence.

(3.)  GOD is not the author of confusion; consider again:  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  (John 4:  23, King James Version, KJV).  But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  (Hebrews 11:  6, KJV).  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;  To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.  (Psalm 103:  17-18, KJV)

(4.)  When ministering to the multitudes, the Savior used doctrine, parables (we say, object lessons), praise, prayer, precepts, principles and the law to establish shared awareness of the spiritual condition, needs, readiness, and true commitment of Israel, and all Creation (e.g., the dead, the sick, unclean spirits, the wind).

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (5.)  Christ had to be identified to Israel through the ministry of John the Baptist.  A new covenant relationship with Deity was introduced that would provide more than preaching, prophecy, sacrifices in the temple at Jerusalem, and study in the synagogues.  The presence and operations of the indwelling Spirit promised from GOD would be demonstrated through water and fire baptism.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(05/28/2015) Death, Forgiveness, Sin and Spirit?

Today, points are shared fitting together the ideas of death, divinity, forgiveness, sin, and spirit.  Meat, rather than the “sincere milk of the word,” is presented to provide a more developed perspective on now familiar ideas.  Benefit, duration, and quality are added to life through intimate relationship that supplies such elements as acceptance, hope, humility, forgiveness, gratitude, joy, resilience, unselfish giving, sacrifice, truth, and wisdom.  Divine law does not destroy sin, yet, through sacred law sin is exposed and made an object in consciousness that may be overcome through operations of the imparted, indwelling Spirit received in baptism.  Where life may be depicted as movement that results from unwanted change and inconsistency (directing all that exists toward recovery of balance, completeness, order, peace, perfection, stability, and unity); sin must be depicted as chaotic and random motion directed to confusion, emptiness, non-existence, perpetual ruin, and the unfruitful stillness that is death.  Divinity continues to value the Creation of heaven and earth that has been put forth as an expression of exalted being, eminence, grace, and sovereignty.  Therefore, provisions have been established that see death undone through resurrection; and sin may be “undone” through salvation, rebirth, and renewed godliness.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Hashim” (Level 2 with 560 points, a member since May 12, 2015) posted the following:

Why do Christians believe God needs to die to Forgive our Sins...?
Is sin more powerful than a God's life,?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  (For until the law sin was in the world:  but sin is not imputed when there is no law.  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift:  for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.  For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.  (Romans 5:  13-21, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Saved by His Death? (05/13/2015); Getting It Right About Angels (05/10/2015); How Can One Man Die? (02/09/2015); When Is A Law The LAW? (03/25/2014); Saul of Tarsus (03/26/2014); Jesus and the Pharisees (07/14/2013); How Could Angels Fall? (07/15/2013)

“Hashim”, to correctly understand the character, nature, and processes of divinity, a person must carefully assign value to (we say, judge) many profound themes and transcendent truths that describe multiple subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning and value) of life experience.  In general, our finite tools for managing emotion and intellect (e.g., logic, mathematics, philosophy, science) are not sufficient to immediately apprehend the full range of ideas that clarify the meaning of “spirit”, and that maintain the peculiar awareness, consciousness and knowledge generated by spirit as an active power.  There are more points to consider than I may list here, however, the following should be useful for your further study:

(1.)  GOD is a spirit—not a mere abstract idea—who displays recognizable attributes (e.g., active presence, authority, glory, holiness, immortality, immutability, person, purpose, purity, wisdom, wrath against sin) that allow divinity to interact within relationships among created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  The framework of time and space present life as temporal—experienced as disconnected, discreet episodes, events and occurrences.  For the living, lasting significance and eternal value must be established using a different framework.  Therefore, life experience also includes birth, death, loss, maturation, rebirth, sacrifice, sharing, and suffering.

(3.)  Sin is no material thing having measurable dimensions (e.g., depth, height, length, weight); is no living thing; does not express love or show preference; and contains no spirit substance from divinity.  Even so, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and may dominate awareness and self-will (we say, will power) within created beings and living creatures.  The operations of sin appear as natural and normal aspects of ones inner being, therefore, they are not recognized as contrary to ones nature, foreign, and strange until damage and loss become undeniable.  While sin opposes the continued existence of divine law and does not obey the divine will, sin can not control, influence or manipulate divine will.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (4.)  Sin may not be simply eliminated or removed from the earth without catastrophe, devastation, and upheaval throughout the entire universe.  Sin threatens the destruction of things unknown and unshared among men, and angels that can never be replaced.  Through the ministry of GOD appearing in the flesh as Jesus Christ (we say, the Incarnation), the sacred essence conveyed through the mechanism of blood is applied for atonement, redemption, and salvation.  Included are such aspects of spirit as breath, comfort, promise, prophecy, the spark of life, truth, will and word.  The living may receive fresh deposits from the makeup of Deity that allow them to recognize, reject and resist sin.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(05/27/2015) Divine Use of Deception?

The righteousness of GOD when using deception through chosen ones and false prophets is considered, today.  Like those generations who proclaimed covenant through Moses and Joshua, individuals chosen and appointed as servants to Deity will demonstrate and be held accountable both for blessings and curses.  Divinity does not use deceit, lies, and trickery to attack, disrupt, draw away, manipulate and ruin those in the earth as does the Adversary.  Delusion and lies appear in the Scriptures as divine instruments in judgment used to admonish, clarify possibilities, condemn, correct, and seal.  Consider again 2nd Thessalonians 2:  7-12, King James Version (KJV):  7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:  only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Answering” (Level 3 with 1,825 points, a member since March 04, 2015) posted the following:

Christians how Can God deceive his Prophets and then Punish them for deceiving them?

"And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel."
Ezekiel 14:9
----------------------------

Any explanation?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth:  let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.  And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.  So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper:  for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.  And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD?  And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd:  and the LORD said, These have no master:  let them return every man to his house in peace.  And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?  And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD:  I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.  And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.  And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.  And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also:  go forth, and do so.  Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.  (1st Kings 22:  13-23, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014); The Bible is Unchanging? (03/23/2014); Continuously Tested (12/31/2013); Chosen To Serve As Prophets (01/01/2014); Lawful Revenge? (01/02/2014); Prophetic Demonstrations (09/06/2013); Why GOD Prayed to GOD (09/07/2013); Recognizing True Prophets (05/02/2013); Jesus, A Party Animal? (05/03/2013)

“Answering”, to me, your question asks how can GOD be righteous on the basis of specific divine deeds and works—not how can he have authority and divine prerogative.  Here are a few points to consider when viewing sacred operations that fulfill eternal purposes:

(1.)  Awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures often are invisibly dominated and directed by flesh (e.g.,  appetite, sensation, emotional/mental functions) and the secular mind.  Despite that sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the Creation maintained through law, the living may be controlled by the workings of sin.  Sin has not been created by GOD, yet, sin does not immediately appear as contrary to ones inborn nature, and may be accepted as a genuine and necessary aspect of ones true identity.  The “exceeding sinfulness of sin” remains hidden until peculiar revelations and sacred events from GOD are provided.  Included are comfort, confession, divine law, forgiveness, prophetic demonstrations, rebirth, testimony, the preaching of the cross, and witness from mature believers.

(2.)  There now are multiple divine processes for discovering and exposing hidden contradictions, errors, lapses, and mistakes that strip mankind of sacred power.  The use of human actors and interpersonal exchange are major devices, today, rather than the use of angelic visitation, sacred events (we say, marvels, miracles, wonders), and manifestations of the Holy Spirit through fire and wind.

(3.)  A person’s full realization of divinity as active and present requires consciousness that results from exchanges and interactions among aspects of their own spirit makeup.  Born again believers receive an imparted, indwelling spirit from the makeup of Deity that endows them with such content as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, wisdom, and  wrath against sin.

(4.)  Like others, Christian believers do not “volunteer” for punishment, scourging, and suffering.  However, where there is mature acceptance of eternal relationship to GOD as demonstrated and provided through Christ, there also must be acceptance that it is only by challenge, hardship and tribulation that many unseen aspects of life experience can become clear and transparent.  Believers accept a role as instruments whereby prosperity and strength from GOD will appear despite the recurring conflicts, disappointments, struggles, and troubles that characterize life upon the earth.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (5.)  Throughout the Scriptures, the treatment of false prophets, who are recognized by their presuming upon divinity, is not the same as that for those in continuing relationship who obey, repent, and sorrow for their sins.  Any appearance of someone claiming to be a spokesperson from GOD requires a response by the community of believers to authenticate the message provided.  Thus, the thoughtful response of believers may appear as fasting, prayer, and rededication as well as searching the holy writings.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(05/26/2015) The Meaning not the Object

The use of the cross, crucifix and other objects for inspiration and in worship are considered, today.  Given the temporal character and nature of life experience upon the earth, even believers in Christ must be repeatedly encouraged, re-exposed to, and reminded of the things pointing to their salvation.  Believers also experience being drawn away into competing activity and doctrine; forgetting; lapses and sudden shifts of their attention and focus as well as detachment and separation that result from lack of contact, and being absent from the active presence of divinity.  Correctly received, the use of memorials (e.g., the rainbow, a rest and Sabbath that follows Creation, or even a day remembering shared struggle and those who die unselfishly in defense of their nation) does not exalt or “venerate” (we say, honor as sacred) conflict, death, flesh, and warfare.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “L’nya” (Level 3 with 1,452 points, a member since August 25, 2010) posted the following:

Would you venerate a weapon used to kill one of your loved ones?

Would Jehovah God want the means his Son Jesus was killed venerated?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel:  not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.  For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.  Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.  For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;  (1st Corinthians 1:  17-27, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Not Images Used in Worship? (09/14/2014); Death is a Divine Tool (09/15/2014); Believers and the Cross (06/24/2013); A Relationship not Just Knowledge? (06/25/2013); On Religious Items (08/29/2012); On Cults (08/30/2012)

“L’nya”, you seem to be disturbed by the continuing use of the cross.  For Christians, in the same way it is acceptable to use representations and symbols such as language and words to communicate our inner feelings and thoughts, it is correct to use emblems, images and physical objects such as a prayer shawl, bread and wine.  Only where one wrongly attributes divinity to material and physical objects without acknowledging the spirit content, meaning and purpose from Christ (for events, messages, other persons, etc.) do such errors as heresy, idol worship, occultism, and superstition appear.  Here are some points to consider that have been useful for correction and guidance among Christian believers:

(1.)  Romans 8:  5-9, King James Version (KJV):  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

(2.)  John 3:  18-20, KJV:  18 He that believeth on him is not condemned:  but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

(3.)  1st Corinthians 8:  4-6, KJV:  4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.  5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)  6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

(4.)  1st Corinthians 7:  29-31, KJV:  29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short:  it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;  30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;  31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it:  for the fashion of this world passeth away.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (5.)  Luke 22:  19-20, KJV:  19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you:  this do in remembrance of me.  20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

(05/25/2015) Flammable?

Today, points are shared on the final destruction of sin, the Lake of Fire, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Instructions regarding the Lake of Fire are provided as admonition and prophecy (see again Haggai 1:  5-7, King James Version (KJV):  Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.  Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.).  The final removal of sin from the lives of created beings and living creatures will be accomplished by operations of the will of GOD.  The Lake of Fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, who are neither mortal nor immortal, yet, are vessels for spirit matter from divinity.  The elimination of sin will not occur through a single, one-time event.  There will be the examination and denial of power to every actor or object that lacks, opposes, and resists the will of the Almighty.  The names of those who are called, chosen, and faithful will be written in the Book of Life; and those whose names do not appear will be destroyed in the second death.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “neil s” (Level 7 with 138,265 points, a member since July 01, 2006) posted the following:

What aspect of the soul is flammable?

If none of it, why should I care about any supposed lake of fire?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:  and another book was opened, which is the book of life:  and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:  and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.  (Revelation 20:  11-15, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Fire From GOD? (06/22/2014); Destroying the Resurrected Body? (02/10/2014); For They Shall Be Ashes (02/11/2014); The Need to Purify Heaven (01/17/2013); Put Every Man His Sword By His Side (01/01/2013); The Common Danger (01/02/2013); The “Lake of Mercy” (11/03/2012); Seeking and Being Sought (11/04/2012)

“neil s”, mature Christian believers become concerned with the Lake of Fire as we pursue the goal of complete and correct sacred knowledge, and a commitment to be in constant reverence toward divinity.  As you already know, teachings on the Lake of Fire all pertain to apocalypse, judgment, and the final removal of sin.  Here are a few points that have helped many believers avoid error and spiritual confusion about those teachings and the Gospel of Jesus Christ:

(1.)  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and all things created that respond to divine order throughout the universe.  Sin is not a living entity, a material thing, or a process initiated by divinity.  Sin has not been created or called forth by GOD, and appears as an artifact (we say, by-product, scraps, waste) of independent existence and separation from Deity.  Sin is not concrete or tangible, yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  Holy fire is that divine tool used in receiving offerings and sacrifices upon an altar, and is not to be considered the same as common fire upon the earth used to cook, destroy, or warm ones dwelling place.  At the same time blood, bone and flesh are consumed and transformed into ashes such divine substance may be lifted up to GOD as acknowledgement, atonement, gratitude, holiness, joy, obedience, praise, prayer, repentance, reverence, trust and truth.

(3.)  At the second coming, the Savior will appear to take to himself those who have made commitment as believers (we say, he will harvest the earth of those who are prepared, ready and ripe).  Consider again Matthew 25:  40-42, KJV:  40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:  42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat:  I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Rightly understood, the Lake of Fire is a peculiar operation by the will of divinity to remove all abomination, antagonism, and corruption (we say, defiance, rebellion, sin, wickedness).  Nothing that resists the will of Deity is to have place in existence; and sin is defined as the disruption of divine order that results by the absence of divine content within the living demonstrated through their attitudes, behavior, and conduct.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/24/2015) Knowing?

Today, points are shared on knowing, revelation and trust as operations completed by divinity among Christian believers.  The challenge to us in 2015 is not to discover or create a completely new system of sacred belief; it is that we affirm and embrace the things provided already as a gift from GOD.  While those born again learn to “know” by faith (not by sight), they also acquire divine consciousness by contemplation and reflection as well as through such experience as bereavement, giving, fellowship, obedience to law, parenting, service, study, and suffering.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Jack” (Level 3 with 1,878 points, a member since September 21, 2011) posted the following:

How do you know when your prayer has been answered?

I just prayed to god to help me get rid of this horrible feeling of anxiety and it has completely gone within minutes, i've been feeling anxious all week. Is this how God answers prayers? In which ways has he answered your prayers? I have only recently discovered religion so please excuse me if this question seems a bit stupid

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:  for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:  but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:  but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded:  and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.  Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.  (Philippians 3:  8-16, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Divinity Has Person? (05/19/2015); It Is Our Wisdom To Ask (05/18/2015); Power Against Sin? (04/12/2015); Understanding Spiritual Growth? (03/13/2015)

“Jack”, for Christians knowing is a divine process carried out and completed by the Spirit of GOD appearing within relationship.  In this sense, knowing is the sacred work of revelation whereby divinity becomes visible as active and present.  Knowing is established as an aspect of being alive in Christ and having a divine nature that continually participates in expressing such features as holy boldness, certainty, confidence, discernment, humility, prayer, rebirth, repentance, respect, resurrection, reverence, and sanctification.  Here are a few points I can share as prophecy (i.e., the word from GOD through Jesus Christ provided as comfort, edification, exhortation):

(1.)  For Christian believers, awareness and self-will are to be dominated by (we say, controlled, filled, and focused exclusively upon) sacred knowledge such as found in the holy writings, and generated from their own portion shared by  Christ of his imparted, indwelling Spirit.

(2.)  Operations of the Spirit from GOD occur as events, exchanges, and interactions among the eternal, inseparable (where you find one, you find all) aspects of divine content that are the makeup of Deity.  Thus, such features appear as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, joy, love, longsuffering, mercy, obedience to divine law, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Because they respond to the many changes in the environment (cold, darkness, heat, light), to animal and carnal aspects of what we are, and sin (that is neither alive, material, nor created by GOD), many human characteristics are not to be exalted and relied upon any longer.  Examples are appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, cravings for sex), feelings (e.g., anger, fear, loneliness), and intellect (e.g., imagination, logic, philosophy, science).

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  All believers undergo a process of gradual, yet, permanent change.  To describe the full transformation we must experience we say, one must be born again.  The inherited, inborn spirit must be replaced with divine DNA, so to speak.  Once reborn, believers must endure the same challenges and “growing pains” as all others upon the earth in order to become perfected (we say, ripe for harvest).  When Christ will come to remove all believers from the earth, we will be made immortal and incorruptible to continue as divine companions having eternal life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/22/2015) Why Punish Innocence?

Points are shared on acknowledging divine rather than human standards for judgment and justice.  Men are not wrong to seek clear understanding of divine order and sacred process; and have a duty to confess their needs within relationship.  Yet, because created beings and living creatures repeatedly apply finite, imperfect standards now corrupted by sin, their defiant and disbelieving responses to divine love and judgment are often little more than foolishness—whining and complaining; condemning Deity; contending against the Almighty; denying divine authority; and fighting a war they can never win.   The expression of divine being will go forward eternally through displays of diversity and variety (we say, Creation).  Also, the multiple differences among created beings and living creatures will be assessed and assigned value.  It is appropriate that differences in essence, fullness and quality be recognized, endorsed, or removed.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “jordyn” (Level 1 with 3 points, a member since April 15, 2014) posted the following:

Why does god send non believers to hell? if they have good intentions, and overall a good person... why punish innocence?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:  the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart:  the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.  The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever:  the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:  sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.  Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me:  then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.  (Psalms 19:  7-13, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Justifying GOD? (03/15/2015); Relationship With Our Creator? (03/16/2015); Teachings on Judgment (06/06/2013); Those Who Never Heard? (06/07/2013); If You Are Sent…? (06/08/2013); Scriptures and Sayings? (06/09/2013)

“jordyn”, here are a few points shared among mature Christian believers that nourish growth of Spirit:

(1.)  In a demonstration of his faith, respect, and trust in GOD, Abraham who is called “the Friend of GOD” in the Bible, once asked a similar question of our Maker, thereby  interceding in the process of divine judgment on behalf of condemned sinners.  When told that Sodom, Gomorrah and other cities of the plain were about to be investigated and completely destroyed because of sin, the Patriarch petitioned that there continue to be the demonstration of divine love, mercy, and righteousness.  In Genesis 18:  23-25, King James Version (KJV) we read:  23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?  24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city:  wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?  25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?  26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

(2.)  When GOD called Moses to serve as prophet and spokesperson for divinity, he revealed the character and nature of divinity by proclaiming his deeds and reputation (we say, name) whereby Deity could be known among those who would be in covenant relationship.  Thus, we read in Genesis 34:  5-8, KJV:  5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.  6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,  7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.  8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

(3.)  On the one hand, all the workings of divine law and judgment must be in accordance with fixed standards and unchanging truth that acknowledge and maintain the aspects of divinity that are immutable and incorruptible.  The meaning of “innocence” within the courts of heaven must go beyond assessments of attitude, emotions, physical behavior, and social conduct.  Those who are to be life companions with Deity are embraced responding to the presence and application of divine life essence and sacred substance (we say, the breath of life, spirit, Word) throughout a person’s life experience.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Speaking through the Apostle Paul, GOD speaks to those labeled as sinners and wicked.  Forgiveness and salvation are available as expressions of grace and divine prerogative.  Consider Romans 6:  16-23, KJV:  16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?  17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.  18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.  19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.  20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.  21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.  22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.  23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/21/2015) Asking For Answers From GOD?

Sacred meaning, coming under judgment, and the gift of life are in focus, today.  There is much that carefully must be considered regarding eternal life and salvation for the children (and adults) caught up in such sweeping divine plagues and judgments against sin as Noah’s Flood, the Exodus from Egypt, or captivity by Assyria and Babylon.  Being mortal, children die, yet, all who may die are not damned.  One of the unknown fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (the required profile information is withheld) posted the following question infused with subtle accusations against divinity:

Christians what could a newborn child have done that would have made him evil and okay to be drowned in god's great flood?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:  and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:  it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:  the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.  Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree:  and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.  (Isaiah 55:  6-13, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  About “The Just” (10/29/2014); Antidotes to the Poisons (10/30/2014); That Mortal Children Die? (12/15/2013); Going It Alone? (12/16/2013); A Slaughter of Innocents (12/15/2012); Words Spoken By GOD? (06/05/2013); Teachings on Judgment (06/06/2013); Those Who Never Heard? (06/07/2013); If You Are Sent…? (06/08/2013); Signs of Messianic Belief? (12/16/2012)

“Anonymous”, because their questions are only intended to challenge divinity and are not for obtaining divine nourishment, sacred knowledge, and spiritual growth, most human sinners and the unclean spirits are unable to consider and grasp the following points:

(1.)  Such aspects of divine order as Creation, existence, Judgment, purity, and eternal purpose are not determined upon the basis of affection, behavior, desire, emotion, preferences and other features residing within the character and nature of created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  Those who believe what has been revealed by GOD to clarify the operations of Deity, also accept that only those “born again” (i.e. who experience comprehensive and permanent changes of their inner spirit) acquire the new understandings for language, meanings and values that are vital for being in harmony with the heart and mind of GOD.  For divinity, the Great Flood continues divine law, the existence of earth and heaven, and maintenance of the entire  universe.  Those apart from divinity only may understand the Great Flood as a natural event resulting from the mechanics of such features as air currents, erosion, fissures, and changes in temperature.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (3.)  We have to see “with new eyes.”  Ones chronological age and the measure of their temporal duration is not a condition that establishes spiritual perfection.  Only by operations of GOD do a fetus or centenarian have genuine relationship that constitutes eternal life, not merely mortality.  The young also may receive aspects of the divine makeup through the Spirit imparted from GOD such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, reverence, and resilience.  However, aggressiveness, competitiveness, dependency, lack of meekness (readiness to be taught of GOD), parental corruption with many other conditions and qualities from social reality upon the earth oppose human offspring coming to full maturity and sacred perfection.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/20/2015) Jesus As America’s President?

Today, I share some Scriptures to review when considering Jesus Christ serving as President of the United States of America.  Presently, Christ only may serve as leader of this nation by operating through the spirit content and divine nature within a believer who attains the office by completing the currently lawful processes for elections and suffrage.  In addition to serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) responsible for management of day-to-day affairs and policy for all domestic Federal agencies, the Savior would have to serve as the Nation’s chief diplomat managing implementation of all international agreements and treaties.  Jesus also would be the highest ranking military officer, and the person held accountable as the Commander-in-Chief for commitments and preparedness of America’s armed forces.  While Christ could continue as an Everyman figure addressing the concerns of those from the many diverse and often conflicting cultures that make up our Nation, there might be a peculiar “spin” upon representative democracy wherein new emphasis is given to accountability, cooperation, consensus, duty, mutuality, participation, and unity.  Many, who now honor and respect Jesus as the promised Messiah and the Sacred Monarch who rules over the Kingdom of GOD expect divine government upon the earth to continue as eternal and permanent once the tribunals of judgment have been completed.  Mortality as a condition for existence will be ended; and the saved all will have been made immortal and incorruptible.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “strpenta” (Level 7 with 56,462 points, a member since May 10, 2006) posted the following:

Has Jeb Bush ever read the Sermon on the Mount?
(or the Constitution?)

He said Jesus would make a great president.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  I will declare the decree:  the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings:  be instructed, ye judges of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.  (Psalms 2:  7-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Human Law, Divine Favor? (03/23/2015); The American Covenant? (03/03/2015); Faith not Politics? (12/02/2014); Ye Are Not In The Flesh (12/03/2014); Separation of Church and State (07/04/2014); The Point of Wisdom? (07/05/2014); God Bless America? “strpenta”, acknowledging the operations of Christ pertain more to relationship with Deity than to office and rank within government (and putting aside the obvious objection about conflict of interest), here are some points to consider on Jesus Christ serving as President of the United States:

(1.)  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.  (James 3:  17-18, King James Version, KJV)

(2.)  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?  And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.  (Hebrews 1:  1-6, KJV)

(3.)  That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:  Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;  Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see:  to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.  (1st Timothy 6:  14-16, KJV)

(4.)  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called The Word of God.  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.  (Revelation 19:  11-16, KJV)

(5.)  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  And before him shall be gathered all nations:  and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  (Matthew 25:  31-33, KJV)

(6.)  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  And he is the propitiation for our sins:  and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:  hereby know we that we are in him.  (1st John 2:  1-5, KJV)

(7.)  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;  Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.  (Hebrews 5:  8-10, KJV)

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (8.)  For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:  Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.  And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.  And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.  So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.  As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.  Hebrews 5:  1-6, KJV.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/19/2015) Divinity Has Person?

Points are shared, today, on the character, nature and qualities whereby divinity is acknowledged within relationship.  To the carnal mind, it is correct to say that every real dog must have the single essence, quality or substance shared by every canine that actually makes it a dog. While we can give it no precise description, we generally agree our pooches all must have dog-ness; cats must have cat-ness; humans must have humanity. Using that mindset, divinity, godliness and spirit can not reside within those living upon the earth. Where Christians say that GOD appears or manifests displaying recognizable person, believers are not ascribing human characteristics and qualities to Deity such as aloofness, antagonism, competitiveness, dispassion, ego, empathy, hostility, individuality, and self-centeredness. Divinity exists having person by operating within covenants and other relationships that generate the broad range of life experience. Included are acceptance, approval, comfort, communication, disapproval, discovery, exchange, forgiveness, guidance, interaction, rule, trust, and warning. One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (standard information not available) attacked posting the following:

Since when is all of God "persons". God the Father and the Holy Ghost were never "persons", so why do you say God is 3 "persons" in one?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  (Hebrews 1:  1-4, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Divine Purpose? (01/08/2015); GOD and The Framework of Time (09/20/2014); About Knowing the Name of GOD (09/21/2014); Aspects of Divinity? (06/15/2014); Son of Adam and of GOD? “Anonymous”, apparently the GOD you know and serve operates only as an abstraction, a mechanism, and does not respond to you in a revelation that is interactive and organic.  Here are a few points and insights shared among Christian believers:

(1.)  What created beings and living creatures may call person and personness when speaking of Deity are the multiple personal attributes, regular patterns and qualities describing divine action through continuous contact and intercourse that has direction, focus, inclusion, and purpose upon a cosmic scale.

(2.)  GOD is a spirit, who must exist within the consciousness of the living as a measure of defining substance, rather than merely as emotion, intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy, secular history, or science.  Intimate relationship with Deity is developed and maintained through utterance that includes admonition, confession, praise, prayer, proclamation, promise, and prophecy.

(3.)  Where GOD resides within the living there are continual exchange and interaction of inseparable divine content such as faith, holiness, hope, joy, love, purity, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Only thereby may GOD be worshiped in spirit and in truth.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Divinity is known through such features and processes as birth, death, deliverance, doctrine, impressions, incarnation, judgment, law, precepts, principles, rebirth, sanctification, and sovereignty.  In the same way the physical characteristics of an animal are not enough to establish its identity as a dog (e.g., they bark, have four legs, a tail, two ears—like seals, like cats, may have missing limbs), so that a coarse standard is applied saying there must be a quality of “dog-ness”, apart from the provisions through Jesus Christ, mankind uses rough standards to speak of godliness, holiness, perfection, and spirituality.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/18/2015) It Is Our Wisdom To Ask

Today, points are shared on the divine conception and birth of Jesus, Incarnation, and divinity as the correct source for sacred knowledge.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Epicurean Atheist” (a member since March 15, 2015, Level 5 with 7,174 points) posted the following question displaying common error and spiritual confusion:

Do Christians ever pause to really consider that they believe god impregnated his own mother with himself- how does that make sense?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?  Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children:  how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?  (Luke 11:  9-13, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Knowing The Holy Spirit? (05/17/2015); Going to Church Before Baptism? (05/05/2015); Correct in Only Your Mind? (05/04/2015); Those Who Read? (02/17/2015); Why The Bible Makes Sense (09/19/2014); GOD and The Framework of Time (09/20/2014)

“Epicurean Atheist”, every Christian believer begins with a set of ideas and understandings that only are acceptable for speaking and thinking with ones own flesh as an anchor for their reality.  Our behavior, conduct and thought may be dominated by appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, cravings for sexual activity), sense (e.g., hearing, tasting, touching), and emotion/mental functions (e.g., anger, desire, fear, imagination, recall).  To become mature believers, however, all must be altered, and made able to recognize the active presence and operation of divinity.  Consider the following:

(1.)  Sacred operations carried out and performed by GOD do not exist for those lacking awareness that responds to Deity (i.e., discernment—ability to apply the spirit substance within ones own makeup as a standard to recognize and respond to spirit content within events, other persons, the holy writings, etc.).  Included are such features among believers as faith, forgiveness, holiness, hope, joy, longsuffering, immortality, incorruption, purity, righteousness, and virginity.

(2.)  Of course men are confused, made to feel intellectually inadequate, sexually immature, and threatened psychologically when they can not grasp the exalted process whereby cosmic forces and life essence are applied to establish a visible image for the spirit that is the origin of all that exists, and himself continues beyond the frames of time and space.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (3.)  It is our wisdom as Christians that we turn to GOD for sacred knowledge.  Doing so, we are granted the record of Scripture that provides a divine point of view, so to speak:  the actions of divinity in heaven and earth through thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  More than this, believers become born again having an imparted, indwelling spirit from the makeup of Deity.  Were these “simple things” and plain truths that do not challenge us, they could be no indication of a GOD who is sovereign over all that was, is, and ever shall be.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/17/2015) Knowing The Holy Spirit?

Today, points are shared on correctly knowing the Holy Spirit.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no other information available) posted the following in the public forum:

What is the Holy Spirit in Christianity and how is it different from the Father or the Son?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  (Romans 8:  26-27, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  GOD Known By Action Not Form? (03/18/2015); The Spirit of Truth? (02/11/2015); The First Book of the Bible? (11/20/2014); The Beginning of Wisdom? (11/21/2014); Knowing the Spirit is Inside? (10/07/2014); The Gender of Divinity? (09/13/2014)

“Anonymous”, for Christian believers, the only way to avoid speculation and spiritual confusion regarding the revelation of divinity to mankind is to become directed by Jesus Christ through the holy writings and the imparted, indwelling Spirit.  It is a common error to deny the oneness and unity of Deity by posing questions that personalize GOD, and that frame divinity as though it is another human characteristic.  Consciousness of GOD consists in doctrine, images, impressions, law, precepts, principles, and values.  The process of knowing, therefore, is one of accepting and affirming, not differentiating or isolating distinctions (i.e., Aristotelian classification and so-called science).  Thus, there is no single statement that may be made in answer to your question, and the thoughts appropriate to correct sacred knowledge, here, relate to such Scriptures as the following:

(1.)  O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!  (Romans 11:  33, King James Version, KJV)

(2.)  The secret things belong unto the LORD our God:  but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.  (Deuteronomy 29:  29, KJV)

(3.)  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:  (Revelation 1:  1, KJV)

(4.)  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:  for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:  and he will shew you things to come.  He shall glorify me:  for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.  (John 16:  13-14, KJV)

(5.)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.  (Revelation 2:  11, KJV)

(6.)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.  (Revelation 2:  17, KJV)

(7.)  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:  Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:  and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:  because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.  They are of the world:  therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.  We are of God:  he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.  (1st John 4:  2-6, KJV)

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (8.)  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?  This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:  and these three are one.  (1st John 5:  5-7, KJV) )  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/15/2015) Necessary to Want It?

Points are shared, today, on why Christianity appears as a system of belief having demands, requirements and standards.  While divine forbearance, forgiveness, grace and divine love are spoken of as “free gifts,” no one should expect to receive new life through the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ as “something for nothing.”  Those who genuinely value and conduct themselves as being in fellowship with divinity will experience rebirth with life in the Spirit.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using ID “Anonymous” (no other information available) posted the following:

So let me get this straight, if you believe in a certain belief system you get eternal life and you need to follow the strict guidelines?

but if you're wrong you wasted your only life.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:  but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  (Romans 8:  13-18, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Relationship With Our Creator? (03/16/2015); Understanding Spiritual Growth? (03/13/2015); Putting GOD First? (06/02/2013); Need for A New Holy Spirit? (06/03/2013); Illusion? (04/25/2013); Not of Legal Age? (04/26/2013)

“Anonymous”, here are a few points to consider on acquiring sacred knowledge and salvation:

(1.)  GOD must approve and endorse every answer proposing to explain such realities as covenant partnership with Divine Person; creation ex nihilo (calling something into existence from nothing); internalizing divine law; completing final judgment; accepting and giving love; the composition, make-up and substance of Deity; the end of mortality (we say, death); sacred operations such as atonement, resurrection and sanctification; and immutable, unchanging purpose.

(2.)  Any single statement offered to explain the character, nature and origins of existence will immediately require additional explanations (for example, definitions for the peculiar concepts, terms and words that were used; the history describing development and dissemination of the answer that was made; the suitability of the answer for application to other questions; and the authority or basis for accepting the answer as correct).  A belief system results, because only a comprehensive and detailed response can satisfy the multiple demands for accuracy and completeness.

(3.)  GOD is a spirit, and should not be thought of as a material and measurable object made from particles (e.g., clouds, fog, mist, smoke, steam).  The “ingredients” or make-up of divinity is such inseparable matter (where you find one, all appear) as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, patience, person, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  To “know” GOD requires replacing and suspending many of the frameworks depended upon by created beings and living creatures.  Included are economic, emotional, psychological, political, and social structures as well as space and time.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  How badly do you want it?  There is no question that mankind may experience divinity through intimate relationships.  Many who speak of knowing GOD only want to exploit and manipulate divinity (i.e., do their own thing; have their own way).  Closeness and sharing as sons and daughters of GOD are maintained only by regular, positive exchange and interaction that include praise, prayer, reverence, study, suffering, and worship.  There must be humility, perseverance, respect, sacrifice, truth, and unselfishness.  A person’s life then takes on the qualities of godliness, and they themselves begin to experience the things promised and prophesied from GOD.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
