(09/04/2014) Revealed As If Unto Babes?

Today, a brief Scripture study is shared focused upon the process of revelation wherein divinity is made known to created beings and living creatures by active presence, incarnation, and word.

SOME THOUGHTS ON

12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens:  when I call unto them, they stand up together.  (Isaiah 48:  12-13, KJV)

2nd Peter 3:  3-7 (KJV)  3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,  4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:  7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Deuteronomy 29:  29 (KJV)  29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God:  but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Exodus 2:  1-3 (KJV)  1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.  2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son:  and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.  3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink.

Exodus 34:  5-8 (KJV)  5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.  6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,  7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.  8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

1st Samuel 3:  6-8 (KJV)  6 And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me.  And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.  7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.  8 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time.  And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me.  And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.

1st Samuel 3:  19-21 (KJV)  19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.  20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.  21 And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh:  for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

Isaiah 40:  3-8 (KJV)  3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.  4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:  5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together:  for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.  6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:  7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:  because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it:  surely the people is grass.  8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:  but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Isaiah 48:  16-19 (KJV)   16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I:  and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.  17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.  18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:  19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

Isaiah 56:  1-3 (KJV)  1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice:  for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.  2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.  3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people:  neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

Daniel 2:  20-22 (KJV)  20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever:  for wisdom and might are his:  21 And he changeth the times and the seasons:  he removeth kings, and setteth up kings:  he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:  22 He revealeth the deep and secret things:  he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

John 1:  1-5 (KJV)  1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2 The same was in the beginning with God.  3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 1:  10-14 (KJV)  10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.  11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Matthew 11:  25-30 (KJV)  25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.  26 Even so, Father:  for so it seemed good in thy sight.  27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father:  and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.  28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:  and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 16:  17 (KJV)  17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:  for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Luke 2:  25-32 (KJV)  25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel:  and the Holy Ghost was upon him.  26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.  27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple:  and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,  28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,  29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:  30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,  31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;  32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

Romans 1:  17-19 (KJV)  17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

1st Peter 4:  12-14 (KJV)  12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you:  on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

1st Corinthians 2:  9-11 (KJV)  9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood.  Readers are asked to add any verse or passage from Scripture that they would like to share in the comments area (see below).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
