(07/02/2014) Conditions and Standards?

Hypocrisy, judgment, salvation, and eternal life being “on condition” are topics, today.  A “Yahoo! Answers” fighter using the ID “Sodom Ramanah” (Level 7 with 230,674 points, a member who joined 8 years ago) posted the following:

Why would Jesus say that everyone who believes in Him will have Eternal Life in John 3:15 then say something different in Matthew 7:21-23?

I don't get why Jesus would say that everyone who believes in Him will have Eternal Life according to John 3:15 and then say not everyone who says "Lord, Lord" will have have Eternal Life, I am confused why Jesus Christ would say everyone who believes in Him will have Eternal Life according to Scriptures John 3:15 and then say something different when he says not everyone who calls Him "Lord Lord" will have Eternal Life in Scriptures Matthew 7:21-23?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.  Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.  But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;  And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;  The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,  And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites:  there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  (Matthew 24:  45-51, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Salvation is Conditional? (01/30/2014); Lower-case or Capital? (01/31/2014); GOD Intervenes? (07/01/2013); Jericho Justified? (07/02/2013); Blessings, Curses and Woes (10/03/2012); After We Die? (10/04/2012)

“Sodom Ramanah”, here are a few points of Christian belief that you may find helpful to avoid spiritual confusion and error:

(1.)  All Christians believers must develop and regularly apply discernment (ability to use their own spirit content to compare, contrast, and recognize spirit content residing in such elements of experience as events, messages, other persons, practices, purposes, and utterance (things spoken) ).

(2.)  For created being and living creatures, the focus and process of divinity appears as discrete, finite, and progressive.  Awareness and self-will may be dominated by changes and shifts in appetite (such as hunger, thirst, cravings for sex), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing touching), and emotional/mental functions (e.g., desire, fear, imagination, recall).

(3.)  Through the ministry of Jesus Christ, baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth having divine DNA, so to speak) provides believers with a fresh endowment of the same imparted, indwelling spirit of GOD that operated in the Creation.  Inseparable aspects of divine makeup must be in place (e.g., faith, holiness, joy, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin) to begin the transformation that will result in mankind being immortal and incorruptible.  Saying this another way, those who are born again, must “grow up” again by meeting “growing pains” and the same life challenges as all others upon the earth.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  For example, (4.)  GOD is a spirit, and is without measurable bounds and limits except when appearing incarnate (in flesh, or material form).  Until they are able to put aside the frameworks of time and space, men will speak of gifts and works from GOD as though they are independent and separate from one another.  In fact, divine law, sacred proclamations, promises, prophecy, and even revelation must be understood as all directed to the same eternal purpose.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
