God ; why do Christians believe that just because they confess that Jesus is their personal Savior that they are Saved?
For , doesn't even Satan believe in Jesus , but he refuses to obey all of Jesus' sayings as these Christians do too ?
THE GOLDEN ARROW: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. “Forest Toney”, in the same way Christian believers receive sacred knowledge regarding the character and nature of divinity, they participate in pre-determined operations and non-negotiable processes that are controlled and maintained by Deity. The whole creation groans and travails in pain together, yet, the salvation we speak of is directed to mankind upon the earth while they live. Such features as anointing, confession, forgiveness, incarnation, rebirth, repentance, and sanctification are established as permanent changes in ones spirit content. Being from the level of existence that is pure Spirit, imparted, indwelling forces are to transform awareness, existence, life events, and self-will in the living. The work of GOD and Christ go forward in terms that are more than merely emotional, intellectual and mental. Consider again these points from the Bible:
(1.) James 2: 18-20, King James Version (KJV): 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
(2.) Romans 10: 9-11, KJV: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
(3.) Romans 10: 13-15, KJV: 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
There is far more that must be said to fully shift a person’s understanding regarding that that is holy (i.e. having the active presence, and eternal purposes of divinity). For example, (4.) 1st Corinthians 1: 18, KJV: 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith and willingness to be made spiritually mature.
