(03/01/2016) Focus Upon The Cross?

Human mortality, the cross, and the “mystery of GOD” are in view, today.  Because mankind was created to be a living companion to divinity, accomplishing multiple eternal purposes has been furthered through the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross.  Deity has used admonitions, cautions, covenants, explanations, prophecy, warnings, and finally sacred blood to prepare and shield mankind against the operations of sin.  The divine purpose has not been merely to frighten, intimidate or threaten the living.  The operations of sin oppose the continued existence of divine law, of GOD as Law Giver, and of the Creation grounded in sacred law.  Sin is an influence having direction, effect and presence, yet, is without concrete form and material substance that would allow sin to be “physically” destroyed.  Sin may dominate awareness and self-will in mankind.  GOD is using a process of revelation (i.e., making divinity known and visible) that is intimate, organic, and personal to enable created beings and living creatures to further discern, recognize and resist sin.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the presentation below:

1st Corinthians 2:  6-8, King James Version (KJV):  6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect:  yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:  7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  8 Which none of the princes of this world knew:  for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Colossians 1:  26-28, KJV:  26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:  27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:  28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

1st Timothy 3:  16, KJV:  16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:  God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1st Corinthians 15:  20-22, KJV:  20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.  21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Why does Jesus threaten to damn people if they don't believe in him, what kind of loving God is?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  (Ephesians 1:  3-12, KJV)

“Peter”, many mature Christian believers understand that through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing despite time and space to here and now.  To correctly understand the things revealed by divinity to comprehend what is called the “mystery of GOD,” believers who come under the divine provision of sacred blood also accept a truth that mankind has willingly chosen to experience death and mortality.  Humanity was not rejected or turned away from Deity.  Yet, there has been separation from GOD, indulging self-will, obeying forces generated within the flesh (i.e., appetite, senses, emotion/mind), and transgressing divine law as well as violation of personal relationship and trust.  The appearance of divinity in flesh upon the earth as Jesus Christ (we say, Incarnation) has been a loving response to undo a profound condition that impacts the entire universe.  The cross and the multiple divine operations necessary for deliverance, redemption and salvation are mandatory, and may not be altered to satisfy the pleasure of men.  Consider again how this is stated in language from the holy writings:

(1.)  Hebrews 2:  14-15, King James Version (KJV):  14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

(2.)  Romans 5:  13-15, KJV:  13 (For until the law sin was in the world:  but sin is not imputed when there is no law.  14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.  15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

(3.)  2nd Corinthians 1:  9-10 , KJV:  9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:  10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver:  in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
