(09/29/2015) The Evidence GOD Exists?

Today, Scripture points are shared on knowing the existence of divinity.  Carnal, material and social experience do not serve as the highest evidence of divine truth.  GOD is a spirit, and must be known and understood as present through spiritual content, eternal purpose and sacred process.  The highest evidences of GOD among men upon the earth continue to be the appearance (we say, incarnation) of divinity in the person of Jesus Christ; the holy writings; those in relationship with GOD as covenant partners; and the ongoing works by the imparted, indwelling spirit from GOD, the Holy Ghost (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  A writer at “Yahoo! What evidence is there that God exists?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.  (Psalms 19:  1-3, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Belief, Faith, and Proof (03/02/2014); Miracles and Visitations? (03/03/2014); Experience Is Not Evidence? (05/05/2013); Church Mandatory? (05/06/2013); Evidence of the Unseen Spirit? (04/09/2013); A Guide to Salvation? (04/10/2013); Science and the Laws of Nature? (03/23/2013); How To Love GOD? (03/24/2013); Given the Cloud of Witnesses (11/29/2012); A Golden Ticket? (11/30/2012)

“Jordan”, for Christian believers, along with other things, you and I are the evidence that GOD exists.  GOD is a spirit (i.e., the makeup of divinity is multiple spirit substances such as being, faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, eternal purpose, wisdom, and wrath against sin).  Divinity has put forth all created beings and living creatures, determined their abilities and patterns for their endurance (e.g., aging, celibacy, family, mortality); their carnal, material and physical characteristics; their possibilities for ordered change (we say, learning, growth) as well as their spheres of activity and life (e.g., earth, heaven, the sea, the universe).  For those choosing to acknowledge the awesomeness of GOD, the most important evidences that GOD exists include divine deeds and sacred events (we say, miracles); ones own consciousness of the divine presence; revealed truth (what GOD has exposed, shown, and spoken to make divinity known); and devices, mechanisms, operations and processes that are spirit in their character and nature (e.g., forbearance, forgiveness, praise, prayer, repentance).  Consider again the points recorded for believers within the holy writings:

(1.)  Proverbs 20:  11 King James Version (KJV):  11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

(2.)  Deuteronomy 4:  32-35, KJV:  32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?  33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?  34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?  35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.

(3.)  Hebrews 11:  1-6, KJV:  1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.  3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.  4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.  5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:  for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.  6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 1:  18-23, KJV:  18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
