Divine law, recognizing Jesus as Messiah, self-will, and sin are topics, today. Also, there is more on the proper focus for believers. A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “«Mind&Heart»” (Level 5 with 6,648 points, a member since September 15, 2013) posted the following:

THE BATTLE AXE: Focus of Believers? (06/17/2014)—(5.) Full human potential allows mankind to operate and exhibit existence according to both animal and divine aspects of ones inward nature. Awareness in created beings and living creatures may be dominated by flesh (appetite, desire, emotion, mental functions (such as fantasy, imagination, recall), the senses (such as hearing, seeing, touching); may be directed by sin; and may be governed by divinity. Sacred belief and conviction may be corrupted, defiled and profaned through secular activity and material that generates doubt, subtleties (barely visible differences, alterations and changes, hidden shifts), uncertainty, or emotional, psychological and spiritual conflict. Those who rely upon intellect, logic, reason, and self-awareness rarely are able to gain a secure place for themselves as followers of Jesus Christ. Such believers are easily distracted, exhausted, intimidated, seduced, staggered, and overwhelmed by the multiple attacks that come from academic data, appetite, sense experience, economic and political events as well as the broad spectrum of religious belief and thought that exists among mankind. By relying upon operations of GOD that come through the holy writings and the imparted, indwelling Spirit, Christians are able to maintain simplicity in Christ. Those who belong to Christ seek to continue on that level where their belief will be perfect (we say, complete, consistent, manifest, mature, polished, pure, and stable) in all they do, including doctrine, home life, public ministry, sacred practice, private reflections, service to others, and worship. Consider again Exodus 31: 13-15, Leviticus 11: 43-45, Leviticus 19: 2-3, Leviticus 20: 7-8, Leviticus 22: 31-33, Romans 8: 5-9 and 1st Peter 1: 13-19, KJV.

“«Mind&Heart»”, here are a few points based on teachings from the Bible that help many Christian believers avoid spiritual confusion. My way of saying it may seem odd or strange, however, as you consider these points they should be very familiar:
(1.) GOD is a spirit who has put forth diverse created beings and living creatures that have material form. In addition to the conditions for their duration, and the spheres of existence wherein they must abide, multiple operations for their development and perfection also have been generated by GOD.
(2.) Sin is no material or spirit matter created by GOD, yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures. Self-will is an artifact of independent being and separation from GOD. Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, of the Law Giver, and of the universe maintained through divine law. Where sin appears to increase independence, in fact, it only increases separation.
(3). The process of revelation whereby divinity is made known engages the living through utterance (we say, breath, spirit, the Word). The expressed will of GOD is established as awareness of divine love and sacred law. The active presence of GOD is not made known and revealed through self-will.
(4.) The Jews were secure in longstanding covenants, customs, practices and traditions that emphasized knowledge of divine law for mankind, however, had become indifferent to many divine proclamations, promises, prophecies, sacred events (we say, miracles), and operations of GOD that emerged by intimate relationship with mankind. Examples included the hope of Adam, the embrace of Abraham as the Friend of GOD, and a dynasty for David through spiritual sons.
There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended. For example, (5.) As seen with Simon Peter, acknowledgement of Jesus as Messiah requires operations from GOD that come by presence of the imparted, indwelling Spirit. Believers must have discernment, ability to use the spirit matter contained within themselves to recognize and respond to spirit matter in declarations, events, experiences, objects, other persons, practices, and purposes. Applying discernment, self-will in the living conforms to divine will, and has lawful status with divinity (we say, faithfulness, obedience, righteousness).) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
