(06/09/2014) Three Covenants?

Harmony among the many covenants established by GOD with mankind are the topic, today.  Also, there is more on circumcision as a covenant duty.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Carina” (Level 1 with 97 points, a member since June 8, 2014) posted the following:

Similarity between Abraham and Jesus through the covenants they made?

I understood that Abraham and Moses similarity, but i still wanna to know more about these three covenants similarity. Please answer me as fast as possible~

THE BATTLE AXE:  Suffering Circumcision? (06/08/2014)—(5.)  Covenant pertains to the transformation of Creation, of mankind, and of the living universe.  Circumcision in ones flesh is no true threat to either infants or teens becoming fully mature, experiencing emotional, mental and physical health, or being established having inner peace.  More than this, circumcision is neither an outcome nor a cause for anti-social behavior, a warped personality, weak character, or self-destructiveness.  While there are those who use circumcision to amplify fear and uncertainty among youth, and who seek to control the sexual aggressiveness of teens by intimidation, circumcision as a demonstration of commitment to covenant with GOD has never been intended as a device for birth control, continuing virginity, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, or a deterrent to sexual behaviors that may indicate imbalance within ones spirit content such as exhibitionism, excessive masturbation, premarital sex, and the reckless fathering of unwanted children.  Divine purposes must come into view that center in identifying a peculiar people marked as sanctified before GOD in flesh as well as in spirit.  See Exodus 19:  4-6, Deuteronomy 14:  1-2, Deuteronomy 26:  17-19, 1st Corinthians 7:  18-19, Titus 2:  11-14 and 1st Peter 2:  6-10, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Ephesians 2:  8-22, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Jesus and the Pharisees (07/14/2013); How Could Angels Fall? (07/15/2013); A Second Adam? (03/25/2013); GOD Hiding in Plain Sight (03/26/2013); Before Abraham Was… (03/14/2013); Vows and Covenants? (12/17/2012); The Firstborn, Higher than Kings? (12/18/2012); According to the Eternal Purpose (11/20/2012); Henceforth, Of This Fruit (11/21/2012)

“Carina”, for Christian believers the key to viewing the many covenants of GOD with mankind is to focus upon their continuity, not their similarity.  One “takes up” where another “leaves off”, so to speak; and full knowledge of the various covenants is intended only for those of the priesthood.  Christian believers are all called to be priests and kings.  Thus, here are a few points believers all should be aware of:

(1.)  The first “covenant” was received by Adam in the form of a proclamation made to the serpent within the Garden of Eden.  The male and female (recognized as a single person by GOD) responded to what they overheard (we say, appropriated the words of GOD) as certain of fulfillment.  Thereby, the dimensions of inheritance, divine promise and prophecy were added to that of sacred law (i.e., the expressed will of GOD).

(2.)  The patriarch Abraham represents continuation of divine intent that finite mankind exist as a companion to eternal GOD.  Abraham experienced intimate relationship with GOD based upon obedience, promise, respect, and trust, and is called the Friend of GOD.  The earlier dimensions of covenant relationship appear as broadened by the revelation to Abraham (GOD making divinity known and recognizable to created beings and living creatures), and certification of covenant by solemn oath.

(3.)  The patriarch Moses continues in a the role of Adam as father to all mankind by giving birth to a nation that will serve in place of and sanctify (i.e., cleanse, set apart for exclusive use by GOD) humanity by living in accordance with divine law.  Those who left Egypt were to make the active presence of GOD in heaven known, understood and visible upon the earth.  Both the nation of Israel and its written law were to be incarnations (appearances of GOD through material form).

For those who truly need a complete answer, there is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Jesus of Nazareth appearing as prophet, as Messiah, and as the Son of GOD was both the fulfillment or summation of all earlier covenants as well as the mediator of a new covenant relationship.  In addition to atonement and relief from sin through applications of sacred blood, eternal life is established for mankind by fresh deposits of divine content (we say, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) that is to bear fruit (result in) human immortality and incorruption.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and readiness to share from GOD.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;  To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.  The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.  (Psalm 103:  17-19, KJV)
