Blasphemy, spiritual discernment, forgiveness, and the GODhead are topics, today. Also, there is more on expulsion of Adam from Eden. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Daniel” (Level 4 with 2,800 points, a member since February 26, 2014) posted the following:
Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, but blaspheme against God the Father/Jesus will?
Based on my understanding of scripture, why would one of the parts of God under the Trinity Doctrine be more special than others? Also - what does it mean to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit? What qualifies?
THE BATTLE AXE: Expulsion from Eden (05/05/2014)—(5.) While Adam and Eve may have acquired new knowledge by eating from a tree, what they received was diffuse, finite, imperfect, and unspiritual. Their veneration of the tree was a form of idol worship. Thus, their deliverance, and separation from the false god began through a sentence of death. Human consciousness was flooded with fear, and the sure expectation of divine wrath against sin. The two could not even think to eat from the tree that would ensure their longevity. Only, the pair understood that they had defied GOD, as surely as they knew it was his custom to come to them in the cool of the evening. Their new knowledge did not include awareness of divine provisions for deliverance, immortality, incorruption, and salvation—knowledge they would have acquired by continuing in close and regular communion with GOD. Our first parents would not have hidden themselves had they no knowledge of right and wrong. However, they operated then as many do today, as though the human mind can not conceive of divine love, forbearance, forgiveness, and mercy. Throughout the holy writings, GOD declares in effect, I have every intention of doing what is right. Once the righteousness of GOD was reduced to being a focus for human despair and terror, the ground, Creation, and divine order throughout the universe had to be altered (the Scriptures say, cursed) for the sake of mankind. Believers in Christ now have knowledge and truth through multiple acts and events, and operations of GOD that stand as a continuous stream of revelation from GOD. Given we know that many are dead in spirit, the issue is what are we to do to remain alive in spirit. To recover full knowledge and the stature GOD intends for mankind, believers must eat and drink not the things that come up from the earth, the things that come down from the heaven: we must eat the body of Christ, and drink his blood. “Daniel”, there are many points of Christian understanding that are rooted in the Scriptures and displayed like blossoms on the branch through operations of the Holy Spirit. Here are a few points that may shield you from spiritual confusion:
(1.) Jesus was under the attack of those who were in a continuing relationship with GOD through covenant, and inheritance by flesh and blood (we say, family). When they publicly began to accuse Jesus of operating through demons and devils, he cautioned them that their words also professed a denial of the Spirit that was in him from GOD.
(2.) In the same way Peter’s words acknowledging Christ as the Messiah had come to the fisherman by operations of the Father through the Holy Spirit—that continue as the bedrock and foundation of the church—divine law, proclamation, promise and prophecy (we say, preaching) are by operations of the Holy Spirit.
(3.) Unity within the GODhead is not attacked by divine admonitions, judgments, and expressions of wrath against sin. More than this, the eternal oneness of GOD is not diminished by differences in form, function, law, or sacred purpose.
There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) A believer may acquire certain aspects of knowledge regarding the GODhead only by interactions and operations of their own endowment of spirit matter imparted from the person of GOD. Through water baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak) believers are given such inseparable aspects of divinity as faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Born again, all must “grow up” again meeting the challenges of life in the earth. The rule of sola scriptura has effect only by the intercession and representation of Christ through agency of the Holy Spirit—also called the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith, and your genuine acceptance of what Christ is sharing with you through his Spirit.
