(05/01/2014) The Ruler Of the Earth?

Authority and rule over the earth, and other spheres of existence within Creation are topics, today.  Also, there is more on apostleship.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the  ID “Banana!” (Level 3 with 1,003 points, a member since February 13, 2014) posted the following:

The bible says that Satan is the ruler of this world. If you want something in this world, shouldn't you be praying to Satan?

Like if you wanted healing, help closing on a house, hoping to find your keys, shouldn't you pray to the ruler of THIS world?

If you want salvation, heaven, etc., wouldn't it make sense to pray to God?

Maybe that's why prayers don't get answered...people aren't praying to the one who rules the earthly domain.

THE BATTLE AXE:  How Many Apostles? (04/30/2014)—(4.)  The special awareness and knowledge of chosen apostles is by the truth that they have abided in the presence of Christ as he appeared in a fullness of divine glory.  Only Peter, James and John were privileged to be with Jesus at the time he was transfigured.  However, Saul of Tarsus saw Jesus as the Pharisee was traveling to Damascus commissioned as the destroyer of the early church.  Saul was blinded by the sudden appearance of divine glory, and became converted through his own peculiar experience of death and resurrection.  By baptism (death of ones inborn nature, rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak), all believers experience resurrection with Christ; however, all do not receive an eyewitness experience of the Risen Lord.  Apostleship, like adoption of the Holy Spirit, status as a teacher sent by GOD, and standing as a son or daughter of GOD,  may be acknowledged, affirmed, ceremonially celebrated, or witnessed by the laying on of hands; however, sacred agency is not received by sensation and sight (hearing, touching, etc.).  Apostleship is by grace, through faith; and workers having the Spirit of Christ themselves must directly discern the incarnation of GOD in the person of Jesus, and the manifestation of the Savior’s sovereign glory.  Consider again 1st Corinthians 12:  27-28,  2nd Corinthians 5: 7, John 20:  29, Luke 24:  32, Ephesians 2:  19-22 and Ephesians 4:  10-16, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.  Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold:  the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:  thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned:  therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God:  and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.  Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:  I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.  Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.  All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee:  thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.  (Ezekiel 28:  12-19, KJV)

“Banana!”, most followers of Christ are challenged at some time by the flawed and subtle (i.e., clever; crafty; having barely visible differences; with hidden or unseen shifts) reasoning that declares Satan is to be worshiped as a god.  Believers avoid slipping up by being grounded in points of Christian belief such as the following:

(1.)  Sin was not immediately discovered and recognized as contrary to the continued existence of GOD and Creation among those who abide within the sphere of divine presence (we say heaven).  Sudden and total condemnation or removal of the angelic beings that sinned would have corrupted the heavenly host, and struck down pillars necessary for divine order within the universe.  By the device of created beings and living creatures upon the earth, the holy angels, sacred beasts, and other celestial creatures are to experience the further revelation of divinity.  In addition to a correct knowledge of divine wrath against sin, all are to perceive and realize the exalted righteousness and wisdom of GOD.

(2.)  The language in the holy writings that speak of Lucifer (also the Adversary, Satan, the Devil) are no longer to be understood as describing a respected and trusted prince.  In the phrase “ruler of the earth,” the key word “of” means “from” not “over”.  Satan is the name and title of one who has been stripped of legitimate authority, and who now operates only by deceit, lies, presumption, pretense, and the use of things that lack divine spirit content.

(3.)  Christ rules the earthly domain; however, the nature of eternal sovereignty is not clearly seen, harmoniously experienced, and correctly understood by focus upon material, physical and social aspects of human experience.  One must contain and apply their own endowment of spirit matter from the makeup of divinity.  Included are such inseparable aspects of GOD as faith, holiness, humility, joy, longsuffering, love, truth, and wisdom.

There is a lot more to be said, properly put into place, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  In the same way minor children have no legal authority to make binding contracts that obligate their parents, mankind can make no binding contracts with Satan that obligate divinity.  The offer of “damaged goods” and “something for nothing” often has appeal while we are still immature, isolated, weak, and young.  Where we are learning and growing within the safety of the body of Christ, we become invincible and victorious over all the wiles of every enemy.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith, and your standing as a genuine believer.

Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  (James 4:  7, KJV)
