(11/23/2018) Why Punishment After Death?

A depiction of judgment and salvation; only those having life may appear in divine tribunal

Today, reply is on mortality, divine law, and the completion of divine judgment. Mature believers are to consider that the final judgment we speak of is already being carried out and is ongoing. Those who will meet the Lord in the air at his coming to harvest the earth now are appearing before GOD through the books of life. Others (we say, the unrighteous; the unjust; the wicked) will be examined in living tribunal that follows their resurrection. For many, it has been proclaimed in prophecy that death (the finish of life; the completion of mortality) will be followed by their completion of existence (the second death). A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality, who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shown) posted the following:

Christians, why does God punish people "after" they die?

FACT --- It's too late after they die to repent.

FACT --- They can't reform because they are now in Hell.

FACT --- They can't go to Heaven because they didn't repent.

So Christians, what's the specific reason why God is punishing these people after they leave Earth?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (2nd Corinthians 5: 10, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Preparing For The Rapture (11/09/2018); Salvation Must Be Eternal (11/06/2018); The Priesthood of Adam (11/02/2018); A Short Time Left (10/30/2018); Judgment Will Occur Forever (10/10/2018); Bible Language About Spirit? (06/13/2018); The Elimination of Death? (05/13/2018); On Law and Sin (06/07/2017)

Anonymous”, the language we use while we are sinners who promote the ideas of our culture and society speaks in terms of “punishment” by GOD for sin; however, the language developing believers are to use in the church as followers of Jesus Christ speaks in terms of being granted correction from GOD; divinity continuing eternal purpose; divine fullness (we also say, the GODhead) performing multiple sacred acts and responses (e.g., atonement; death of ones inborn Adamic spirit; rebirth from divine seed; the completion of mortality through resurrection and judgment that occur in the physical presence of GOD; the provision of eternal life). Here are some points that may help you realize the understanding among those who are to become Christlike by acknowledging sacred law, practice, and process that are to be shared by those who are the new creation of Jesus Christ:

1. Mankind was created to serve as a companion to GOD who is immortal, incorruptible, and invisible. The earth also was created as a sphere of life along with a range of active operations for mankind (e.g., aging; discovery; growth; learning; work), and the resources to ensure duration.

2. Just as GOD must present personhood, and be knowable, known, accessible and approachable, divinity must manifest righteousness, and establish his own word as a reliable, unchanging standard for communication, exchange and sacred relationship. Thus, despite the interruption that occurs because of death, Deity must complete the response to the sanctions within the divine law that were proclaimed to the first pair (Adam).

3. The law spoken by the Creator while interacting with Adam (we also say, shared through personal relationship; demonstrated and expressed as the authority, prerogative, and sovereign will of GOD; revealed) included admonition and warnings of consequences, and unwanted, yet, unavoidable events that would follow their disobedience. Included were death, destruction, and Adams loss of dominion over the earth.

4. By submitting his consciousness and self-will to the operations of sin, Adam became deprived, emptied, and unable through self-will to recover his divine substance from the makeup of GOD that always was to serve as his own life essence (we say, breath; spirit; word). Included were faith, holiness, integrity, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (5.) In the operations of GOD, the end of a persons physical life is not the end of their full existence. Just as divinity has put forth the angels to exist being neither mortal nor immortal, divinity has begun a transformation of mankind to exist as an immortal companion to divinity that will be completed when Jesus Christ appears to harvest his followers from the earth (we say, his appearing, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming). Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
