(06/05/2018) New Commandments From Christ?

Today, focus is on the Messianic elements and doctrine introduced by Jesus Christ to clarify Mosaic law and sacred truth.  Otherwise existing as invisible and unseen, GOD has been made present and visible to created beings and living creatures in heaven and upon the earth by using thousands of events, within thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  Together Old and New Testament writings are to be taken as a single revelation of divine fullness (we also say, divinity; our Maker; the Creator; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit; the GODhead).  Appearing through Incarnation as Jesus Christ, Deity did not provide additions or changes to the Ten Commandments so much as he crystallized the sacred elements handed down from the time of the Patriarchs to the day of John the Baptist.  A fighter in the “Yahoo Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum using the ID “?” (Level 1 with 81 points, a member since September 11, 2017) posted the following:

Which part of the new testament talks about Jesus's commandments not the recommending us it the book of exodus or what plz serious answers.?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me:  for he was before me.  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.  No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.  (John 1:  15-18, King James Version, KJV)

“?”, Jesus Christ did not introduce or profess new commandments, doctrines, and teachings that he would use to promote himself as a rabbi, a controversial religious figure, and a political leader.  Correctly understood, Jesus amplified and revived classical sacred knowledge; mysteries and privileged information intended as the inheritance of divine priests on the earth; and themes from the practices and holy writings among the Jews.  Included are acknowledgment that the divine presence sent to appear on the earth as Shekinah glory is continued through “the law and the prophets,” and through divine Incarnation; the imparting of divine substance from the makeup of GOD (we say, breath, life essence, spirit, word) is required to establish flesh as anointed, born-again, consecrated, ordained, purified, and sanctified; mankind is to exist as a companion to immortal, incorruptible, invisible divinity sharing oneness without sameness; condemnation, death, mortality and sin are to be eliminated, yet, sacred law and divine order will continue throughout the universe; the operations of divinity among men on the earth are to complete eternal purposes begun in Creation and interrupted by the operations of sin; and the system of expiation, oblation and sacrifice is to be fulfilled as promise and prophecy, rather than replaced or terminated by the wrath of GOD against sin signaling the end of sacred covenant.

The followers of Jesus are to become Christ-like in their character, lifestyles, and living routines.  A godly nature, and the workings of sacred law displayed by a believer are to be discerned and understood as authentic expressions of the heart, mind, righteousness, and sovereign will of GOD.   GOD, who is spirit, is to be apprehended in spirit that has appeared on earth using flesh (Jesus Christ); and love, that is spirit, is to abide among men, and is GOD.  Consider the following from the Bible that uses language of the new testament church to declare the “commandments” from Jesus:

(1.)  John 13:  33-35, King James Version (KJV):  33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me:  and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.  34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

(2.)  1st John 2:  4-6, KJV:  4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:  hereby know we that we are in him.  6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

(3.)  1st John 4:  6-8, KJV:  6 We are of God:  he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.  7 Beloved, let us love one another:  for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

There is far more that should be said, properly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 13:  7-10, KJV:  7 Render therefore to all their dues:  tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.  8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:  for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.  9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:  therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
