(03/19/2018) Points On Spiritual Warfare

Today, points are shared on the process of spiritual warfare to establish and maintain divine dominion within mankind, and over the earth.  Deliverance and salvation for the living must go beyond material objects and our physical pains.  Many confuse spirit warfare with clashes and conflicts that occur among their own feelings, desires, and thoughts, and that others perhaps will see as anxiety, depression, indecision, lack of self-control, rage, or sorrow.  Spirit warfare pertains to the operations of GOD (e.g., anointing, election, judgment, repentance, sanctification) that are exchanges and interactions of the inseparable spirit substances within the divine makeup.  Included are balance, completeness, faith, holiness, immortality, incorruption, mercy, personhood, potency, and wisdom.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shown) posted the following:

Are we fighting a spiritual warfare?

praise jesus!

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?  And he answered, Fear not:  for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.  And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see.  And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw:  and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.  (2nd Kings 6:  15-17, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, praise Faithful and True!  Here are some points you may find useful as you continue to share regarding the Christian pursuit of spirit warfare for dominion within mankind and over the earth:

1.  All Have Sinned.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and the fundamental order of the universe.  Even so, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  To successfully turn away from sin requires more than a changed attitude, academic or secular knowledge, and the sinner’s own self-will (willpower).  While sin does not exist as a material object or spirit substance having measurable dimension (e.g., height, size, weight), sin nevertheless has direction, effect, and presence that are exposed and made “visible” only by such streams of truth as divine law, sacred knowledge, praise, prayer, unselfish service, and sanctified worship.  Because sin is carnal and not an intellectual process of the mind, we acknowledge that sin is irrational and self-destructive; however, we fail to recognize that sin is contrary to divine and human nature.  Expressing our potential to also display an animal nature, men repeatedly own sinful desires, thoughts and behavior as natural, normal, and ordinary.

2.  You Must Be Born Again.  In effect, the sinner must become “slain in spirit” and “raised from the dead.”  Through repentance that comes from ones indwelling spirit and gifts from GOD.  Saying this another way:  There must be the death, burial, and resurrection from the dead of ones inborn spirit, and they must become vessels of spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  Once born again, the sinner must grow up again and become by enduring the same disappointments, “growing pains,” life challenges, hardships, and sufferings as others on the earth.  mature displaying the character, makeup, and substance of a divine offspring (son or daughter of GOD).

3.  The Spirit from GOD.  It is the fresh endowment of spirit substance from the fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) that provides the battle armor and weapons for spirit combat.  Included are discernment (ability to recognize and respond to divine spirit substance appearing within events, oneself, other persons, prophecy, holy writings, etc.), faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, restraint, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  The sovereign will of GOD that can not be overcome by the operations of sin must be established within the divine warrior along with many inseparable aspects of godly consciousness, sacred knowledge, and eternal purpose.

4.  The Battle Is the Lord’s.  In the same way, a recruit joining the army may not choose his own uniform, he may not choose the commanding officers, the other recruits, or the enemy.  Developing believers who come to GOD through Jesus Christ become a new creation who do not have victory by their own strivings.  Size, muscular prowess, and gun violence can not accomplish divine goals and eternal purpose.  Triumph comes by joining to the oneness without sameness that Christ shares with the other persons of the GODhead.  Accounts of victory for the people of GOD appearing in the Scriptures also report that GOD often defends and protects his people by turning the soldiers in an enemy army against each other.  Consider again, therefore, the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  2nd Chronicles 20:  17, King James Version (KJV):  17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle:  set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem:  fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them:  for the LORD will be with you.

(2.)  2nd Kings 19:  32-36, KJV:  32 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.  33 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.  34 For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.  35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand:  and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.  36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

(3.)  Galatians 2:  20, KJV:  20 I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

(4.)  Ephesians 6:  11-17, KJV:  11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
