(02/06/2017) Having to Pass Inspection

Today, Christian believers are described as soldiers in the army of the Lord who all come under review, temptation, and testing.  Throughout the Bible, the holy names of GOD indicate there is divine authority over the armies of heaven.  Included are “a man of war,” Faithful and True, God of hosts, the captain of the Lord’s host, the LORD God of hosts, and the Word of God.  The eternal purpose of judgment is not punishment, rather, it is the harvesting of those who are fit and mature (we say, ripe) enough to serve as immortal, incorruptible companions to divinity.  Divine content will reside in every believer as the Spirit of Prophecy (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth) and should appear as attention to detail, diligence, enthusiasm, fervor, industriousness, intensity, meekness, thoroughness, vigilance, willingness to obey, and zeal that can be recognized through exhortation, praise, and prayer.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers (India)” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Why would God punish someone who simply wants nothing to do with Him despite the fact they never killed or hurt anyone?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  (Ephesians 6:  10-17, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Sin Must Be Personal (04/29/2016); A Dry Thirsty Land (05/01/2016); Sin Turned To Goals (05/02/2016); Iniquity Forgiven? (02/16/2016); All Sin Is Willful? (10/20/2015); About The End Of The World (08/30/2015); Holy Wars? (11/06/2014); Crimes Christ Crucified For? (11/07/2014)

“Anonymous”, all Christian believers are to understand that they have been recruited (many say, called) to serve divinity in numerous ways.  In addition to being the Creator, Deity has been revealed as a “god” of Deliverance, Judgment, Love, Reconciliation, and Salvation.  The living are to accept permanent changes in their makeup, and operate on the basis of an imparted, indwelling “spirit” received through rebirth during water baptism (i,e., death and burial of ones inborn spirit).  Believers continually are to display “the image of GOD” put forth by inseparable aspects from the makeup of Deity.  Included are faith, holiness, lovingkindness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  The following points become important to consider:
(1.)  “Innocence” must be defined by GOD.  GOD is to be acknowledged as the single owner, protector, and sovereign ruler over all that exists.  Thus, Exodus 20:  3-6, King James Version (KJV):  3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.  5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:  for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
(2.)  Sinners are to be in a relationship expressing discipline, sacred knowledge, and specific skills.  As those “born again,” believers must prepare for and pass a final inspection, so to speak (i.e., we say, “final judgment”) that goes beyond the completeness and correctness of their appearance and the “uniform” they’ve been issued.  Included may be attitudes, behavior, diet and foods, productivity (we say, their fruits), and zeal.  Deuteronomy 14:  1-3, KJV:  1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God:  ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.  2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.  3 Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
(3.)  Commitment to things “secular”, denying GOD, forgetting, ignoring, neglecting, and omitting all have the same outcomes, and so are given marks similar to those for “iniquity” (i.e., deliberate and repeated defiance, rebellion, and stubbornness).  Thus, 2nd Timothy 2:  3-4, KJV:  3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Of course, there is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Scales for measuring enthusiasm, patient endurance (we say, longsuffering) and the genuine sacred value of “good works” will be used.  Thus, Isaiah 59:  12-19, KJV:  12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us:  for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;  13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.  14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off:  for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.  15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey:  and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.  16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor:  therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.  17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.  18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.  19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
