(11/17/2016) Choice, Duty, and Obligation?

future.jpg

Today, focus is on the benign limits upon mankind from relationships with the Creator.  It is not a matter of “choice” for the living to exist before divinity, for their essential being has presence on the basis of divine purposes, and sacred operations that determine duration, value, and worth.  The initial contracts between parents and their children can not be based upon desire, preference, and self-will of the infant.  Similarly, just as babies are dependent upon their parents who must shape their behavior to conform with practices and standards within the home, both believers and sinners must rely upon divinity for the order and structure necessary for life.  At no time while a child is dependent are the parents abusing, “brain-washing”, or torturing their own offspring by establishing clear boundaries and choosing opportunities on their behalf.  At no time is GOD to be regarded as a bully, a despot, or tyrannical ruler where only he continually provides and supplies the elements for peace, safety, security, and eternal life.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

If we are given the choice to serve God or not, why is it wrong not to serve Him?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And further, by these, my son, be admonished:  of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments:  for this is the whole duty of man.  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.  (Ecclesiastes 12:  12-14, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Birth, Self-will and Sin? (11/13/2016); Eternal Life From GOD (10/24/2016); Guided By Divine Truth (06/20/2016); All Sin Is Willful? (10/20/2015);  Finite Will, Self-will and Sin? 06/01/2015); Relating to GOD? (11/05/2013); Does Satan Know? (11/06/2013)

“Anonymous”, correctly understood, being in personal relationship with divinity entails duty, obligation, and reverence more than choice, pleasing oneself, or acting upon ones own desires and self-will.  The authority, glory, ownership, and sovereignty of GOD are absolute and supreme.  To our Creator and Maker, we are like babies who—whether they know it or not; like it or not; understand it or not—must become toilet trained and learn obedience, or puppies that must be house broken and become responsive to a leash.  As with every little one, for both believers and sinners, forbearance, forgiveness, longsuffering, patience, mercy, and restraint must be exercised; and GOD is first revealed and made known through those things, rather than covenants, doctrine, and preaching.  Even so, mankind is being trained to develop and grow in agreement with divine law, and according to fixed and predetermined patterns that allow life experiences upon the earth that will prepare the living to permanently exist in the presence of GOD.  Mortality will be ended, and the frameworks of time and space also must be suspended, or even, eliminated.  Those who think they are existing in a world created by “accident” and “evolution”, are operating under the influence of sin that can defile, deceive, pollute and dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Without a fresh endowment of spirit content from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, gratitude, holiness, humility, meekness, wisdom, wrath against sin), sinners do not achieve sacred knowledge, and so continue to behave displaying delusion, disbelief, error, exaggerated pride, immaturity, and presumption.  Consider again the following:
(1.)  1st Corinthians 3:  16-20, King James Version (KJV):  16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.  18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.  19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.  20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
(2.)  Numbers 15:  29-31, KJV:  29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.  30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.  31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
(3.)  Romans 12:  1-3, KJV:  1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2 And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Psalms 19:  12-14, KJV:  12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.  13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me:  then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.  14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
