(07/01/2015) Holiness

Faith, holiness and salvation in the Advent of Jesus Christ come into view, today.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Ruth” (Level 7 with 90,913 points, a member since December 04, 2010) posted the following:

What does that mean to you, without holiness no one will see the Lord?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.  Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour:  for we are members one of another.  Be ye angry, and sin not:  let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Neither give place to the devil.  (Ephesians 4:  21-27, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  To Keep It Holy (02/23/2014); 7 “Godly” Sins? (02/24/2014); Able to Become Gods? (01/11/2014); Why Christians Pray for Others (01/12/2014); When Jesus Comes Back? (04/19/2013); What’s The Way Out? (04/20/2013)

“Ruth”, holiness is a substance that exists only as divine spirit; and is itself only holiness.  Holiness is an aspect of the full divine makeup; and must be considered as independent, yet, inseparable from the other features that distinguish Deity (e.g., faith, longsuffering, love, person, truth, wisdom, wrath against sin).  Holiness may be imparted to believers in Jesus Christ through the various experiences of divine rebirth that include baptism, chastisement, judgment, and suffering.  Here are a few points now being shared among Christian believers that may grant you some insight:

(1.)  Hebrews 11:  6, King James Version (KJV):  6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

(2.)  Matthew 5:  8-10, KJV:  8 Blessed are the pure in heart:  for they shall see God.  9 Blessed are the peacemakers:  for they shall be called the children of God.  10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake:  for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

(3.)  Hebrews 12:  14-15, KJV:  14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:  15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

(4.)  1st Chronicles 16:  28-30, KJV:  28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.  29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name:  bring an offering, and come before him:  worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.  30 Fear before him, all the earth:  the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

(5.)  Revelation 15:  4, KJV:  4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy:  for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

(6.)  Hebrews 12:  7-10, KJV:  7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.  9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence:  shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?  10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

There is far more to be considered, correctly understood, and taken into ones own spirit.  (For example, (7.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  7, KJV:  7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.  8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith, sacred knowledge, and spiritual maturity.
