(05/15/2015) Necessary to Want It?

Points are shared, today, on why Christianity appears as a system of belief having demands, requirements and standards.  While divine forbearance, forgiveness, grace and divine love are spoken of as “free gifts,” no one should expect to receive new life through the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ as “something for nothing.”  Those who genuinely value and conduct themselves as being in fellowship with divinity will experience rebirth with life in the Spirit.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using ID “Anonymous” (no other information available) posted the following:

So let me get this straight, if you believe in a certain belief system you get eternal life and you need to follow the strict guidelines?

but if you're wrong you wasted your only life.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:  but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  (Romans 8:  13-18, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Relationship With Our Creator? (03/16/2015); Understanding Spiritual Growth? (03/13/2015); Putting GOD First? (06/02/2013); Need for A New Holy Spirit? (06/03/2013); Illusion? (04/25/2013); Not of Legal Age? (04/26/2013)

“Anonymous”, here are a few points to consider on acquiring sacred knowledge and salvation:

(1.)  GOD must approve and endorse every answer proposing to explain such realities as covenant partnership with Divine Person; creation ex nihilo (calling something into existence from nothing); internalizing divine law; completing final judgment; accepting and giving love; the composition, make-up and substance of Deity; the end of mortality (we say, death); sacred operations such as atonement, resurrection and sanctification; and immutable, unchanging purpose.

(2.)  Any single statement offered to explain the character, nature and origins of existence will immediately require additional explanations (for example, definitions for the peculiar concepts, terms and words that were used; the history describing development and dissemination of the answer that was made; the suitability of the answer for application to other questions; and the authority or basis for accepting the answer as correct).  A belief system results, because only a comprehensive and detailed response can satisfy the multiple demands for accuracy and completeness.

(3.)  GOD is a spirit, and should not be thought of as a material and measurable object made from particles (e.g., clouds, fog, mist, smoke, steam).  The “ingredients” or make-up of divinity is such inseparable matter (where you find one, all appear) as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, patience, person, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  To “know” GOD requires replacing and suspending many of the frameworks depended upon by created beings and living creatures.  Included are economic, emotional, psychological, political, and social structures as well as space and time.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  How badly do you want it?  There is no question that mankind may experience divinity through intimate relationships.  Many who speak of knowing GOD only want to exploit and manipulate divinity (i.e., do their own thing; have their own way).  Closeness and sharing as sons and daughters of GOD are maintained only by regular, positive exchange and interaction that include praise, prayer, reverence, study, suffering, and worship.  There must be humility, perseverance, respect, sacrifice, truth, and unselfishness.  A person’s life then takes on the qualities of godliness, and they themselves begin to experience the things promised and prophesied from GOD.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
