(03/16/2015) Relationship With Our Creator?

Today, need for church membership and regular attendance as aspects of salvation from sin, and Jesus Christ as Creator and Savior are topics.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “sadat” (Level 1 with 29 points, a member since February 19, 2015) posted the following question:

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:  (Colossians 1:  9-22, KJV)

“sadat”, here are a few of the many important points shared among those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as the most important provision from divinity for eternal existence and life without corruption through sin:

(1.)  Divine salvation requires a complete “remix” of the universe, because multiple aspects of existence are presently being altered through operations of sin.  Sin is not a spirit substance or a living entity put forth by the Creator.  We say sin is no object or thing, because sin is intangible (lacks physical form), and has no material and measurable dimensions.  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence.

(2.)  Sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures; however, sin can not influence the sacred will of Deity.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and every Creation that depends upon sacred law for divine order.  Finite human tools such as emotion, intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy and science do not have the necessary power to eliminate sin.  While death can stop the living from further sin, the operations of ones sins continue indefinitely after the sinner is buried and forgotten.  Believers in Christ receive those aspects of divinity that allow them to recognize and resist sin more completely and correctly.

(3.)  There are many things to learn and understand that are continually the focus of those operating as believers in Christ.  While the crucial aspects of salvation are all carried out by divinity (e.g., atonement, expiatory sacrifice, mercy in judgment, rebirth, resurrection, and sanctification), the church exists as a firm witness to things unseen, and otherwise unknowable.  Because sin can not be eliminated directly and suddenly without widespread destruction and upheaval, many gradual divine operations are now in effect whereby believers are released from the corruption and misery of their own sin, and are reinforced to be shielded from the sin of others.

There is no easy or simple way to say all that is needed.  (For example, (4.)  The inborn spirit of believers must be replaced with spirit content that is found only within the makeup of divinity.  Inseparable aspects of Deity must be received such as faith, holiness, gratitude, joy, love, longsuffering, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Born again, sinners must become perfected (we say, mature) by facing the same life challenges that come against all others upon the earth.  Their growth (not their salvation) is fostered by such features of new life as continuous fellowship with experienced believers; unselfish giving, service, and sharing; study of the holy writings; and praise, reverence and worship.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.
