(09/01/2012) Heaven For Muhammad?

Focus, today, is upon accepting Jesus as the Son of GOD along with more on spiritual confusion as described in the Book of Judges chapters 17 and 18. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Maddo” (Level 1 with 80 points, a member since August 30, 2012) posted the following:

Christians would muhammad be in heaven or hell as he mentions Jesus but does not accept him as son of god?

THE BATTLE AXE: A House of gods? (08/31/2012)—Reliance on “home-grown” and “self-made” belief is specially encouraged when believers become separated from the legitimate worship community. The unseen dangers of heresy and false doctrine are made more severe through the introduction of inconsistent and unpredictable patterns for practice, service and worship. Whether isolated in rural areas, cut off by weather patterns, limited by illiteracy, or in darkness through lack of communication skills and tools, believers absolutely must have stable standards for conduct, correction and understanding that are rooted in spirit-person, rather than flesh. Conscience, feelings, guesses, hunches, intuition, instinct, private opinions, and personal preferences are no substitute for the Spirit that one must receive from GOD, and regularly apply in living. Micah meant well, however, he built his house “upon the sand,” investing in material goods and being a “respecter of persons.” As a result, Micah and his household were completely undone when a band of marauders from the tribe of Dan coveted and stole all their gods and images, and kidnapped their Levite priest. The Scriptures record how the Danites reasoned with the young Levite: “Hold thy peace, lay thy hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a priest: is it better for thee to be priest unto the house of one man, or to be priest unto a tribe and a family in Israel? And the priest’s heart was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people.” Micah called together a troop, and pursued after the men of Dan. When he protested the abduction and theft, Micah was cautioned that he would lose his own life, and the lives of his entire household. Later, when Dan drove out the men of Laish and established the city as their portion of the Promised Land, they installed the Levite with the idols—all the time that the house of GOD was in Shiloh! (See Judges 18.) Sadly, the Danites continued to be disposed according to their heritage as Egyptians, not as Israelites. Thousands of years later this would be seen in the dissolution of the Unified Kingdom through Rehoboam son of David from the tribe of Judah, and idolatrous worship of the Golden Calf at Bethel and in Dan by the ten tribes (Israel, the Northern Kingdom) through Jeroboam son of Nebat from the tribe of Ephraim. Lack of zeal on the part of the Danites, and the sin of delay in removing the enemies of GOD from their allotment are surpassed by the many other errors that sprang up through spiritual confusion: apostasy, conspiracy, coveting, heresy, lack of accountability, robbery, man-stealing, pride, and false worship.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: (Psalms 95: 1-8)

The most correct and useful responses to your question will be those that have been shared with mankind from GOD, and will not necessarily complement or favor human desire, logic, and reason. There are many details and subtleties (barely visible differences; nuances) involved; and reaching the point of spiritual maturity necessary absolutely cannot occur for those in conflict with GOD.

For mature Christian believers, the truth of Jesus as son of GOD is of holy origin, and further reveals the character of Divine Person. Belief in Christ as an incarnate manifesting of Almighty GOD does not deprive mankind of any good thing. To the contrary, sacred history, divine processes and eternal purpose are clarified. Included are Creation, redemption, salvation, resurrection, and judgment. Dimensions of holy being are made visible that would be otherwise unknown to believers in GOD upon the earth. Such elements as correction, mercy, forgiveness, forbearance, rebirth and regeneration are foreign, and impossible for GOD among those who only conceive divine judgment as punishment. More correctly, judgment is the further display of divine love, and the uncovering of supreme righteousness. With this in view, many Christians regard Islam as one of the many “steps to Christ” and the receiving of Messiah sent from GOD.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, it is not enough to grant GOD a marginal place in our lives. Yes, the holy writings use “honorable mention,” parables, and veiled references to lead study, provoke questions, and build up a student’s resolve. However, the proper declaration of faith in Jesus emerges only from the spirit of GOD residing within a believer. Therefore, the testimony is certain and direct. There is no hesitation, speculation, or hint of unresolved issues. There is no slander of Christ; and there is no denial that all things are possible with GOD.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
