(08/08/2019) We Must Acknowledge Christ

Today, a declaration of personally-held faith is shared in reply on the importance of belief in Jesus Christ for ones salvation. While many insist that salvation occurs only on the basis of works completed by divinity, human expression repeatedly presents believing as an act of human will, and a work completed by those in the flesh. So to speak, believers are not saved by their own works; they are privileged to benefit and experience the works of GOD that allow mankind to display the divine nature. The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “I trust the count” (Level 7 with 278,586 points, a member since March 02, 2006) posted the following:

Is just believing in Jesus Christ alone for my Salvation enough to get me to Heaven?

I do believe that Jesus Christ has died on the cross for my sins I deserve to be punished for so I can have Eternal Life

Is that enough to get me to Heaven?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2: 8-10, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Believing That GOD Is (06/24/2019); Displaying Faith Through Works (03/04/2019); We Have To Believe? (01/06/2019); Become Like Jesus Christ? (10/27/2016); Belief, Content And Works? (02/12/2016); Not Through Human Will? (01/29/2016); By More Than Believing (12/04/2015)

I trust the count”, your question requires responses that clarify and explain another persons faith, rather than man-made things, and is not really a simple matter because we must experience faith (a substance from the full makeup of GOD) as a sacred process of continual change, development, and growth. Those who become “born again” must also “grow up” again, for they must undergo a total transformation to exist as mature/ripe life companions (offspring) of divinity. Sharing faith in a way that is complete and correct requires multiple explanations; and the words we use often fuel and permit spiritual confusion. Even so, there is much we can share that you may find helpful.

It is not enough just to have facts about Jesus Christ, academic instruction, and secular knowledge regarding events from the ministry of Jesus on the earth. The content and process of ones consciousness, personhood, sense of eternal purpose, and self-will (willpower) must be permanently altered by the presence and operations of divinity. The living must acknowledge the gifts and works provided from GOD for salvation by receiving and responding to multiple sacred influences. In addition to using material and physical creation to appear to the living, divine fullness (we also say, the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) imparts and uses inseparable aspects of unseen life essence (breath; spirit; word) to communicate, exchange, and interact with Creation. Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Sinners who properly turn to GOD seek a new relationship through new commitment, discipline, and discernment. Through divinity incarnate as Jesus Christ, “life” is not simply through the forms of conception and birth; it is also by rebirth and resurrection. With the goal of becoming Christlike, and correctly displaying the image of GOD through their own lifestyle and daily routines, developing believers continue discovery, gradual growth, learning, obedience, respect, restraint, reverence, unselfish service, and suffering. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Hebrews 11: 5-7, King James Version (KJV): 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

2. John 11: 21-27, KJV: 21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. 22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. 23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. 24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? 27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. Romans 6: 3-11, KJV: 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
