Today, reply is on salvation as a living process that requires both divinity from within mankind, and the operations of mankind from within divinity. The Creator is subject to all sacred law that expresses the consciousness, heart, mind, and will of Deity, therefore, created beings and living creatures made in the image of GOD must conform to divine order, and are subject to the eternal, immutable law of GOD. My Bible says he who dies is freed from sin. But some faith groups teach that he who dies is "acquitted" of sin, i.e. your sin in paid in full when you die. But doesn't that mean Jesus didn't have to die?

“David”, here are a few ideas to consider you may find fresh, and that should help as you continue thinking about what salvation requires. The sacred work that you have in view demands commitment, life substance (blood, breath, spirit, word), unselfish sacrifice, and sovereign will (willpower) both from mankind (the flesh) and from the divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit):
1. Salvation is permanent change within and transformation of the inborn spirit content and makeup of created beings and living creatures. Where sin is held to be a natural or normal condition, the living fail to grasp that sin is contrary to human nature as put forth from GOD.
2. Sin is not a common material, or ordinary object that can be destroyed and eliminated; yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence. Sin may dominate awareness and self-will within the living, however, the heart, mind, and sovereign will of GOD are not subject to sin.
3. Through sacred law and other provisions of GOD, sin may be recognized, refused, rejected, and resisted.
4. Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and divine order throughout Creation; and promotes restoration of the conditions of chaos, flux, and non-existence in place before the founding of heaven and earth.
5. Salvation is not a discrete, independent (stand-alone) act or pattern of behavior for expressing social goals and standards that might include culture, customs, obedience, rites, rituals, tradition, self-abasement, or surrender.
There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 6. Salvation is manifest through multiple sacred operations and streams of divine truth. Included are birth; covenant; closure; forbearance; forgiveness; completing works begun through the law; fulfilling promise; fulfilling prophecy; rebirth; reconciliation; redemption; resurrection; and the second death.)
