(07/14/2017) GOD Indwells Divine Law

Divine-Law-before-Moses.jpg

Today, survival of the Ten Commandments are the topic.  The operations of divine law are directed to more than simply defining sin and making wickedness recognizable.  In the same way GOD resides within the praises of his people, GOD is continuously present within divine law; and the law is an expression of love among the three persons of the GODhead (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).  Sacred law states the conditions and terms for covenant relationship; required procedures for the transfer of bequests and inheritance; and the sanctions (corrections/punishments/rewards) that attend both regular obedience and occasional transgression.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (Philippines)” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data appears) posted the following:

Why have the Ten Commandments survived with such impact to the present?

Do the laws against killing, theft, and adultery still carry the same meaning for us as they did for our ancestors?
Why did Moses order the slaying of 3000 fellow Hebrews at Sinai?
And is it possible, as some believe, the tablets preserved in the sacred Ark of the Covenant actually exist?

Update:  I'm watching Mysteries of the Bible

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.  (Psalms 119:  142, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, GOD is no less a divinity who rules through law and judgment.  Thus, many mature Christians believers continue to acknowledge the Ten Commandments as an appearance of divinity using flesh, material form, and social process (we say, an Incarnation of GOD).  GOD is an otherwise invisible active presence (we also say, breath, essence, spirit, word) who displays and reveals full divinity as having multiple attributes that include direction, duration, holiness, person, eternal purpose, sovereign will, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

The Ten Commandments delivered to Moses and those who left Egypt have been enduring standards because the makeup and substance of sacred law and divine order are inseparable aspects residing within the makeup (we say, the heart, mind, utterance) of GOD.  Sacred law is eternal, and pertains to the full universe; and the focus must be on what the law does to benefit the living, not what the living do to benefit the law.  Neither the existence nor the righteousness of divine law are dependent upon the approval, intellect, or obedience of finite created beings and living creatures.  This was graphically demonstrated when Moses destroyed the original stone tablets that were written with the finger of GOD as well as by the faithfulness of GOD despite repeated violations of covenant relationship that appeared among the Jews.  Divinity alone justifies, legitimates, maintains, and upholds sacred law.

The terrible consequences of “breaking the law” while having to be accountable in covenant with GOD are depicted in the holy writings both as the outbreak of fiery, poisonous flying serpents (plague), and as the destruction of every common bond of fellowship brought on by those who are offenders.  Properly understood, there can be no meaningful communication grounded upon betrayal, deceit and lies.  There can be no prosperity that comes by working together, no respect, no security, no stability, and no genuine trust.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, the keeping of divine law is more than the practice of organized religion.  Thus, it is written:  Romans 13:  8-12, King James Version (KJV):  8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.  9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:  therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.  11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:  for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.  12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand:  let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
