(06/05/2017) Salvation Can Follow Deliverance

Today, points on deliverance, eternal life, healing, and salvation are shared with a survivor of 911.  A writer using the ID “mark” (Level 1 with no points (0, zero) showing, a member since May 28, 2016) posted the following:

Being saved on 9/11 from dying in the towers where I worked some people say is luck, then why 3000 people died?i m sure there is god?ur say?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift:  for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.  For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.  (Romans 12:  14-21, King James Version, KJV)

“mark”, there are many important life experiences that allow us to realize GOD is active and present among us on the earth.  Included are birth, death of our own children/parents, harvest with abundance and plenty, healing, and sacred events (we say, miracles).  Where a person’s focus is only on the carnal, material, and social elements, they can report having physical “deliverance” from GOD, yet, not be able to say they have “salvation” and “eternal life” that are spiritual.  Things of the flesh include appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, sexual craving), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching) and emotion/mental functions (e.g., anger, fear, imagination, recall), and may be experienced as brief (i.e., temporal), mechanical, and repetitive.  By contrast, the many operations of GOD that respond to our spiritual needs may appear to be one-time events, however, they are vital to our existence and so may be continuous, ongoing, and unseen.  Sinners must be “born again” meaning they must receive deposits of inseparable spirit content from the makeup of GOD such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom and wrath against sin.  Men do not really “cheat” or escape death simply by having education, good looks, luck, or money.  It is important we believe in the existence of divinity as a “starting point,” and one should go on from there to develop a personal relationship with GOD.  As ordinary men and women, our mortality will be completed through death, or by our being taken up alive to meet Christ at his Advent (the Second Coming, the Rapture).  Our present lifestyle and daily routines can be carried out and display our preparation for the things promised, proclaimed, and prophesied by GOD recorded in the holy writings.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Hebrews 11:  5-7, King James Version (KJV):  5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:  for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.  6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

(2.)  John 12:  1-11, KJV:  1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.  2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served:  but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.  3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair:  and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.  4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him,  5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?  6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.  7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone:  against the day of my burying hath she kept this.  8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.  9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there:  and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.  10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;  11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
