Today, more is shared on why Christ died as a sacrifice to accomplish salvation, rather than by continuing to live a perfect human life. Both life and death must be seen and understood using ideas in agreement with the revealed truth from GOD. Death is more than merely a mechanical process where the body functions as a machine that may be shut off, and powered down. Also, death is more than punishment for wrong doing, and an expression of divine wrath against sin. More correctly understood, death is a divine process that allows permanent change and transformation of the spirit matter from the makeup of GOD that must reside within created beings and living creatures. Given the peculiar makeup of mankind as flesh and spirit, the only atonement that may be administered for sins requires blood that carries spiritual innocence; and is a fixed, non-negotiable process in accordance with grace from GOD. Similarly resurrection from death responds to the human condition as mortal and temporal. By means of death GOD is further revealed as blameless, independent, righteous, self-governing, and wise. The death of Jesus was not merely physical and symbolic. Jesus was made an embodiment of all sin, condemned, separated from divinity, spiritually destroyed, and restored by Infinite Glory.

1st Corinthians 15: 21-26, KJV—For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
