(11/27/2014) Living not Dying for Our Sins?

Atonement, sacrifice, and sin are topics, today.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “2.71828182845904523” (Level 7 with 111,516 points, a member since February 26, 2006) posted the following:

Couldn't Jesus have lived for their sins, rather than die for them? How is dying for their sins any better than living for them?

Jesus was perhaps in his thirties, he had his whole life ahead of him; but instead of living for their sins he decided to die for them.

Replies from religion scholars and others appreciated.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  (For until the law sin was in the world:  but sin is not imputed when there is no law.  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift:  for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.  For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.  (Romans 5:  12-21, KJV)

“2.71828182845904523”, only a few points may be shared with you here that pertain to the simple, yet, profound (i.e., far reaching; having multiple applications) truth from the system of sacred knowledge held among mature Christians:

(1.)  The death of Jesus upon the cross for atonement of sin, and the transformation of all existence may only be understood through operations of spirit matter that is imparted from the full makeup of divinity.  Inseparable (where one appears, all are present) aspects of GOD must be in place such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(2.)  Sin may dominate the living through their awareness and self-will.  Sin is no thing created by GOD; is not living material or spirit substance; lacks dimension and measurable form, yet, has direction, effect, and presence.  Sin opposes the continued existence of sacred law, the Law Giver, and any universe that would depend upon divine order for its existence.  Neither finite angelic nor human emotions, intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy, or science permit the complete and correct definition, or understanding of sin. More than this, singly or together, they can not eliminate sin.

(3.)  Atonement is a divine operation whereby spirit matter (we say, the spark of life, the breath of life, word) ordinarily contained and conveyed within the living by blood as a transporter, must be applied to establish a new condition and status before Deity as “having no sin” (we say, rebirth, redemption, salvation).  Immortality and incorruption for mankind is GOD’s intent, however, for this to be accomplished without widespread destruction of the universe, birth, life, death, resurrection, and judgment must be GOD’s tools.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Because GOD is a spirit who has put forth all that exists using specific devices and means that are not possessed by any other being, and GOD intends that all living acknowledge the active presence of divinity, GOD has appeared in flesh among mankind (we say, Incarnation).  GOD has lived among us as an independent and separate person; and GOD continues to live among us as an indwelling Spirit within believers.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
