(03/13/2014) Faith Given By GOD

Today, some points are shared for a Christian understanding of faith.  Also, there is more on sharing Bible verses, and being thought judgmental.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Yahwehist Eye Candy” (Level 2 with 877 points, a member since November 10, 2010) posted the following:

Is it truth or fact that u can use ur faith like a mustard seed to teleport a tree into the ocean?

Luke 17 6

THE BATTLE AXE:  Scriptures and Judging Others (03/12/2014)—(5.)  Aspects of judgment also make up the ministry of Jesus Christ, and appear throughout the holy writings as correction, forgiveness, mercy, and reconciliation.  Yet, many react to the holy writings with feelings of anger, embarrassment, guilt, or feelings of shame.  Declarations and demonstrations of divine will and sacred purpose have power to stir the ancient endowment of Spirit that was deposited in Creation.  Thus, it is not a matter of words on a page, spoken in ignorance, or theatrically proclaimed.  It is that, the word of GOD triggers movement of the Spirit of GOD.  Even so, the believer may not use the word as in witchcraft to charm, enchant, entice and cast magic spells.  Nor should the word be applied as in warfare like a weapon to crush and defeat defiance, resistance and rebellion.  Most properly done, the things of GOD and witness are shared only with those who ask for them, who are teachable (we say, meek), and who open themselves to receive.  Together, the imparted, indwelling Spirit and the word condemn the operations of pride and self-will, and impose a sobering perspective upon self-promotion.  See Zechariah 7:  8-12, Matthew 7:  1-8, John 8:  9, Romans 2:  15, Romans 9:  1, 1st Corinthians 14:  20-25, 1st Timothy 4:  6-7 and 1st Timothy 5:  22, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.  But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;  And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.  And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know:  yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.  (Acts 3:  13-15, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Mustard Seed Faith? (01/16/2014); The Judges Who Condemned Jesus? (01/17/2014); Faith for Facing Tragedy? (06/04/2013); Words Spoken By GOD? (06/05/2013)

“Yahwehist Eye Candy”, faith granted by GOD is to be understood as a gift to living creatures and created beings intended to impart existence, and reveal divinity.  As an aspect of divine makeup, faith is not used for amusement, entertainment, selfish pleasure, and “showing off.” Here are a few points to consider that help Christian believers display their gratitude to GOD by expressing faith:

(1.)  Faith is inseparable from such divine spirit matter as grace, holiness, humility, longsuffering, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Through the operations of GOD called baptism (death and rebirth having divine DNA, so to speak), believers in Jesus Christ receive a fresh endowment of divine spirit.

(2.)  The power of faith is not that of physical force to lift material objects so much as it is authority to establish awareness and focus for self-will (we also say, discipline, self-control).

(3.)  Mustard seed is used to describe faith as dynamic, organic and subtle (i.e., barely visible; bearing differences that escape detection; difficult to recognize; displaying multiple connections).  Faith must expand and increase.  In fullness and maturity, faith serves to generate, nourish and protect Creation.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example (4.)  While we often hear of “knowing by faith”, faith pertains primarily to ones knowledge of divine love.  The faith that comes from GOD through Jesus Christ is given to accomplish peculiar eternal purposes such as comfort, communion, judgment, reverence, submission, and worship.)   Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  (Romans 5:  1-2, KJV)
