(09/11/2013) Why GOD Does Not Tell All

Today is the anniversary of one of the most devastating yet unifying attacks upon the United States of America as a sovereign nation, its people, and its diverse way(s) of life.  That fateful hour in 2001, as the passenger plane collided into one of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center (New York City), I was at work on Capitol Hill; and we were all challenged to understand reports that the Capitol, the Monument, and the Pentagon were also under attack.  There were reports and rumors that the Capitol building would be evacuated; and that the Congress and President were to be taken into secure, secret settings.  The Prayer Warriors and Spirit Soldiers of our Nation immediately began to combat confusion, fear and panic.  Some in improvised “private chambers,” others while yet seated with their colleagues before TV broadcasts for the latest information, believers on the Hill began to call to GOD for America’s safety, salvation, and victory.  We trust, we were heard.

Acknowledging that day, the lives lost, and the precious opportunities that continue to be ours, in the name of Jesus, and to his glory, I am restoring the archive of 700 documents to WordPress.com.  Presently there are only 70 posts available at Thoughts.com, with 296 documents posted at GOOGLE Blogger.com.  May our GOD ever provide us with his shield of unknown soldiers who obey, pray, and witness in our defense.  Be encouraged!

IF JESUS IS THE MOST HIGH GOD, THEN WHY DOESN'T HE KNOW THE DAY AND HOUR OF HIS COMING?

I BELIEVE JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD, THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS

MATTHEW 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

THE BATTLE AXE:  The Bible and Genealogy (09/10/2013)—(5)  Because covenant is continued through lineage, inheritance and judgment take on peculiar aspects of spiritual duty.  Included is the challenge to ones descendants and heirs that was described when GOD revealed himself to Moses as the Holy One of Israel, and a GOD whose existence and righteousness are expressed through judgment.  GOD passed before Moses and showed Moses the train of his glory while proclaiming the divine name and reputation, explaining to Moses what was being displayed.  The sins of the fathers are visited upon the children unto the third and fourth generation (i.e., as much as 160 years).  The children are not condemned or punished by GOD as though responsible for the sins of their parents.  However, the offspring must respond to continuing life conditions created by their parents (see Exodus 34:  5-8, KJV).  More than this, it is the divinely determined duty of ones heirs and offspring to complete the unfinished business of the deceased, and to correct the errors of their parents by doing works that create a new name and reputation for their parents, themselves, and that correctly acknowledges the goodness of GOD.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up:  and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.  And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.  And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.  And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.  And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?  And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself:  whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.  And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.  But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;  But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.  And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.  And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,  And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.  But he passing through the midst of them went his way,  And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.  And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.  (Luke 4:  16-32, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why GOD Prayed to GOD (09/07/2013); Utterance is Spirit (09/08/2013); A Need to Know? (09/04/2013); Of Sure Hope and Certainty (09/05/2013); GOD the X? (07/19/2013)

Emilio, here are few points that most Christian believers receive after many hours and years of fellowship, prayer, and study of the holy writings.  Thanks for giving us the chance to share with you:

(1.)  Jesus Christ has demonstrated and revealed that primary aspects of right relationship with Almighty GOD for created beings and living creatures include acceptance of divine prerogative, being anointed (we also say, being endowed with spirit content from the makeup and person of GOD), operating in faith, and continuing trust.  Along with praise and prayer, these things permit intimate communication; and they replace having full knowledge and detailed information.

(2.)  Faith is a divine substance, and pertains to the existence of divinity.  Faith is inseparable from such other divine content as holiness, humility, joy, longsuffering, love, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Even the proper exercise of divine authority requires discipline, distance, and a peculiar separation of the Sovereign Judge from those over whom he must preside.  Simple beings who are apart from GOD because of ignorance and sin do not easily grasp the many subtle (i.e., barely visible, and therefore unseen) possibilities for their own destruction when they approach GOD.  Rightly understood, to enter the divine presence demands total respect, self-restraint, and appropriate reverence.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  For example, (4.)  While divine law has not been given to mankind as a device to tell the future, holy law declares the end from the beginning.  Consequences and punishment for disobedience is described before any offense is committed; and so, transgressors have choice as well as duty to be circumspect and wise.  See Deuteronomy 29:  29, KJV.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
