(10/17/2017) Divine Wrath Against Sin?

 From Heaven

Today, reply is on divine wrath against sin, and salvation from wrath through the blood of Jesus.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “STEVAN” (Level 1 with 157 points, a member since February 12, 2016) posted the following:

Why does the christian god issue out threats to mankind on a daily basis?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.  The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked:  the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.  He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers:  Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.  The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.  Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.  The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.  But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.  What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end:  affliction shall not rise up the second time.  (Nahum 1:  2-9, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Without the Divine Image? (10/15/2017); The Vengeance of GOD? (10/01/2017); Storms to Punish America? (09/08/2017); Mercy to the Merciless? (07/30/2017); Becoming Free From Sin (07/16/2017); First Seeking the Kingdom (03/03/2017); Temporal and Eternal Judgment (02/15/2017)

“STEVAN”, wrath against sin is a permanent aspect of the character, makeup, and substance of divinity; is not an emotion or feeling that comes and goes; and continues in balance with such attributes as oneness without sameness, impartiality, mercy, and restraint.  The GOD Christian believers acknowledge has put forth existence, life, and multiple streams of truth that flow together, interact, and at times oppose one another.  Even so, the fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead) is a single, active presence, who makes Deity knowable, known, and approachable by created beings and living creatures, and who uses distinct forms and sacred processes as three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).  GOD is to be respected as the Creator, as a deliverer, a law giver, a sovereign ruler, and a god of judgment.

Where the living obey, and accept the protection and security generated through the law of GOD, no one is “threatened” by the law.  Because an important use of the law is to expose sin that otherwise would be hidden and unknown, the law identifies enmity against GOD through disobedience.  While we are correct to speak of a “final” judgment, divine authority and judgment are continuous and eternal processes.  The outcomes of divine judgment always are blessing and peace, for divine judgment is the resolution of conflict and the settlement of disputes through the declaration of sacred law (i.e., the expressed will of GOD).  By providing fixed elements as anchors and reference points to express the immutable, incorruptible, unchanging nature of GOD, divinity “rules” and maintains divine order.  The living may discern (i.e., use their own endowment of spirit content from the makeup of GOD), recognize and respond to discrete cycles, patterns and sequences that we speak of as regulated by both “natural” and “spiritual laws.”  Sinners who have received fresh deposits of life essence (breath, spirit, word) are supplied to examine and acknowledge the spirit content residing within events, other persons, the holy writings, themselves, etc.  The inseparable aspects of divinity they receive through water baptism include faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Psalms 7:  10-12, King James Version (KJV):  10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.  11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.  12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

(2.)  1st Timothy 1:  9-10, KJV:  9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,  10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

(3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 5:  8-10, KJV:  8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.  10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
