(05/31/2014) Choosing a Church?

The topic, today, is how a person can decide what church to visit.  Also, there is more on spiritual accountability and liability when speaking of being responsible for sin.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using ID “~Fatimah” (Level 5 with 8,190 points, a member since June 09, 2011) posted the following:

How do you know which church to go to?

If someone wanted to visit a church and did not know much about Christianity, how do they know which kind of church to visit? Going around the city, there are so many different kinds of churches...

THE BATTLE AXE:  Responsible for Sin? (05/30/2014)—(5.)  In the same way children inherit physical features from their parents such as complexion, eye color, height and weight, and are legally obligated through such features as contracts, promises, and other  relationships of their parents, offspring also inherit spiritual features such as life challenges, covenant obligations, and practices for praise and worship.  While children do not actually inherit blame, fault, guilt or shame, they often are challenged by and experience an inheritance with such features as debt, disadvantages, duty, false hopes, and unattainable dreams.  While sin was introduced through our first parents (Adam and Eve), they were not the cause or origin of sin; and have not been condemned by GOD for transgression of divine law so much as for denial of divine love, of right relationship with divinity, and of trust.  Mankind today is not responsible for eliminating and removing sin; however, all are accountable for the attitudes, behavior, conduct and consequences generated from their own choices, and actions directed through self-will.  Apart from the spiritual provisions from GOD, none can detect, recognize, or resist sin as an influence.  Created beings and living creatures do not comprehend or grasp sin except as GOD reveals and displays certain aspects of divinity.  Included are forbearance, longsuffering, mercy, patience, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  This is no different than the way we do not comprehend divinity except as GOD displays and reveals spirit through incarnation (i.e., embodiment within flesh).  Forgiveness is upon condition of atonement; and the atonement required is fulfilled only in the ministry of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of GOD that takes away the sin of the world.  See again Exodus 20:  4-6, Exodus 34:  6-8, Leviticus 5:  15-17, John 1:  28-34, Hebrews 5:  1-10, Hebrews 7:  24-28 and Hebrews 9:  11-15, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation.  Let all things be done unto edifying.  If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.  But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.  Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.  If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.  For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.  And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.  For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.  (1st Corinthians 14:  26-33, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Should Men Take Their Hats Off? (05/15/2014); The Issue Is Not Accuracy (05/16/2014); Philosophical Questions? (04/17/2014); To Accomplish A Sacred Goal (04/18/2014); Going It Alone? (12/16/2013); On Being Good Stewards (12/17/2013)

“~Fatimah”, here are a few points for those exploring Christian beliefs that you may find useful:

(1.)  In the same way you would want to know the film being presented before buying your ticket to enter a movie theater, you would ask some questions to know what’s being discussed and shared within a congregation before attending their open services.  Many assemblies now feature a display board in the front area of their church property that names their pastor and other featured speakers.  Dates and times for various activities are usually listed including healing services, Bible study, prayer meetings, evangelism and revival programs, titles and topics of sermons as well as special lesson series (e.g., baptism, Bible prophecies, and the End Times).

(2.)  Travelers are often challenged to find information about local churches they may attend during their stay away from their home church.  They may find listings in the telephone book (yellow pages), and call to ask times for their activities, and what behavior and practices a visitor should expect, and be alert to observe.  Similarly, a new believer, or someone merely curios is welcome to call and speak to a clergyperson or other available member of the group.  Just like with other settings and situations, your first impressions can be important to deciding whether you further your contact with that group of believers.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Moses received a profound,  unasked for and unexpected experience of GOD, because he turned aside from curiosity to see a bush that was burning, yet showing no ashes, or smoke.  What many people want is for GOD to guide them to the “perfect” church.  They want to “feel” drawn and carried through a series of “coincidences” that result in their being “at the right place, at the right time.”  Because they are operating in terms that are carnal (determined by appetite, senses like hearing and seeing, and desire for the supernatural) they are often disappointed.  They don’t receive the exact spiritual knowledge and guidance they need from GOD, because they have not clearly decided what they are seeking, and do not ask GOD for it by their prayers and their willingness to give and share with others.  What a visitor will actually experience is very much a matter of their own choice, and will be limited according to what they are prepared to receive.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your meekness (i.e., willingness to be taught by GOD), and faith.

Brethren, be not children in understanding:  howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.  In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.  Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not:  but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.  (1st Corinthians 14:  20-22, KJV)

(05/30/2014) Responsible for Sin?

Divine and human accountability, sacred law, and relief from sin are topics, today.  The Internet site “Yahoo! Answers” now displays THE BLACK PHOENIX ranked on Level 5 with 5,077 points, and having responded to some 1,262 questions from others.  Those that appear in the sacred writings blog usually were located in the Society & Culture > Religion & Spirituality categories.  Also appearing there, the “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “Isa ibn Yahya” (Level 4 with 2,931 points, a member since November 02, 2009) posted the following:

How can someone die for another persons sins when the Bible clearly says that we are each responsible for our own?

Ezekiel 18:20

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  (Romans 8:  2-4, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  To Live As a Sacrifice (03/08/2014); A Perfected Body (03/09/2014); What Salvation Is (01/25/2014); Bible Justice? (01/26/2014); Resisting Sin (12/21/2013); When People Covet (12/22/2013); The Common Danger  (01/02/2013); The Root of Jesse (01/03/2013); Purchased With Blood? (12/29/2012); The Law Not Flawed (12/30/2012)

“Isa ibn Yahya”, where yours is an honest heart seeking truth, here are a few points you should also consider:

(1.)  Sin is neither a material thing nor a spirit substance put forth by GOD.  Yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Using finite tools of intellect, logic, mathematics, reason, and science, mankind can not eliminate sin.

(2.)  Through sacred law the living may become alert to the presence of sin.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, of the Divine Law Giver, and of the universe created and maintained through law.

(3.)  Many divine operations are now being carried to completion that provide for the full cleansing, recovery, and transformation of all within the various spheres of existence.  Included are birth, death, judgment, rebirth, resurrection, and sanctification.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Believers having a proper understanding of atonement, offering, redemption, and sacrifice are relieved of every emotional, psychological, and spiritual “burden” or “obligation” for sin.  Their duty is to focus and live centered in aspects of truth such as acknowledgement, divine love, praise, respect, and worship.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your meekness and faith.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:  (1st Peter 3:  18, KJV)

(05/18/2014) From Such Turn Away

“Yahoo! Answers” and other Internet sights do not always provide healthy and respectful material for godly discussion in a sacred writings blog.  Therefore, readers here are invited to use the comments section (below) to share their questions that will honor GOD by uplifting the name of Jesus, and correctly permit others to gain insight, to learn, and to mature as Christian believers.  Today, only a BATTLE AXE and GOLDEN ARROW are shared with more on denying oneself.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Denying Oneself (05/17/2014)—Everything and everyone are not answers to the people of GOD.  In the same way a right relationship to GOD must be “discovered” and developed, right relationships among the people of GOD are arrived at only through continuous, spiritual service.  There must be a transformation of ones own awareness and lifestyle in order for the spirit from GOD through Jesus Christ to produce godliness within a person’s relationships with others.  Because many insist that self-indulgence is acceptable, natural and “normal”, they refuse to heed the cautions and warnings from GOD against sin.  Such view their own behavior as an honest expression of their own character and personality.  In their view, they themselves (i.e., their own feelings, opinions, and thoughts) are the standard for truth.  It does not make sense that GOD will condemn people for “just being themselves,” for merely responding to their animal appetites, or rejecting repeated appeals that are irrelevant and suspect.  These fail to grasp that without divine law, and reasonable self-discipline, human existence is constantly vulnerable to abuse, addiction, damage, defilement, unnecessary conflict, and self-destruction.  Selfish thinking, crude behavior, and seeking ones own pleasure may not be regarded as aspects of divinity that should appear within mankind.  The concepts of divine judgment necessary to Christian belief all oppose such “regular” conduct as covetousness, envy, feigning ones feelings, hedonism (living for ones own pleasure), hypocrisy, lies, pretension, pride, and callous self-promotion.  Because divine judgment centers upon the spirit content of created beings and living creatures, focus must be upon the appearance of ones makeup and substance displayed through attitudes, beliefs, and deeds.  Inseparable aspects from the makeup of GOD should be present such as faith, forbearance, holiness, love, longsuffering, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  (2nd Timothy 3:  1-5, KJV)

(05/17/2014) Denying Oneself

Self-denial and being true to oneself among Christian believers is the topic, today, along with more on the issue of accuracy for the Scriptures.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “The Green Machine” (Level 5 with 5,512 points, a member since November 09, 2013) posted the following:

Why do Christians deny themselves?

Jesus says to deny ones self and not be true to ones self. Why?

THE BATTLE AXE:  The Issue Is Not Accuracy (05/16/2014)—For editors, scholars, students of history, and writers of analytical reviews and literary criticism, accuracy, like proofreading, pertains to the correctness of data and factual information.  Items come into view such as the spelling and pronunciation of names, dates, genealogies, and the grouping of discrete facts according to categories, classes, patterns, and types.  The holy writings do not conform to any single standards for literary genres, and are more to be known in terms of eternal purpose.  The Scriptures are to reveal the nature and process of divinity by reporting sacred events that have occurred among mankind, and on behalf of humanity.  Readers are granted a divine perspective, so to speak, displaying information from thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  Statements of eyewitness, origins, and personal testimony appear, consistent with the divine revelation of GOD through operations of ongoing judgment.  The writings should not be described using such labels as autobiography, biography, diaries, government documents, private journals, or travel logs.  The holy writings convey spirit matter such as faith, holiness, joy, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  As such, the Scriptures are dynamic and organic like seed that must be planted within the soil for growth, maturity, and further reproduction by the bearing of fruit.  The spirit content deposited within the Scriptures must interact with the endowment of spirit matter readers receive through baptism (i.e., death of the inborn spirit, rebirth from divine DNA).  As these streams of spirit flow together, readers are further built up and established in relationship with GOD through operations of divinity upon awareness and self-will.  Consider again Genesis 1:  1-3, Genesis 41:  38-40, John 4:  4, 1st Corinthians 2:  7-16, Hebrews 4:  12, 2nd Peter 1:  16-21 and Revelation 19:  9-10, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.  And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.  And he said unto another, Follow me.  But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.  Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead:  but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.  And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.  And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.  (Luke 9:  57-62, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Genuine Repentance? (03/24/2014); When Is A Law The LAW? (03/25/2014); (Resisting Sin (12/21/2013); When People Covet (12/22/2013); A Lid on Love? (09/27/2013);Dying in Terror and Joy? (09/28/2013); Struggling? (05/11/2013); Through Much Tribulation (05/12/2013); Known by GOD? (10/16/2010)

“The Green Machine”, where Christ speaks to his apostles and disciples regarding self-denial he is not requiring martyrdom, self-destruction, or suicide.  Believers are to accept that the demands of commitment, duty, love and unselfish service are ceaseless, nonstop, and unrelenting.  Right relationship that correctly exalts divinity promotes companionship with GOD through Christ as more necessary than family, friends, ones employer and co-workers, or even ones spouse and offspring, for the gifts of redemption, salvation and eternal life may be secured through no other divine agency.

Rightly understood, only certain aspects of ones full carnal being (we say, the flesh) are to be suppressed, or continually taken to be of less importance for spiritual existence.  Awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures may be dominated by appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, cravings for sexual activity), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), emotion/mental functions (e.g., anxiety, desires, imagination, intellect, recall), and sin.  Sin is no material, physical, or spirit thing created by GOD; and sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, of the Law Giver, and of the full Creation that responds to divine law.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, while a believer’s demonstration, display and ministry of divine gifts are to occur through the attention we show family and all others, believers also are to discern and recognize when the control, influence, and standards of others are not those set forth in Christ.  Believers are to make responsible choices, resist, and even separate themselves from those who insist upon behavior that spreads corruption, defilement, profanity, spiritual confusion, and unbelief.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your meekness and faith.

It is a faithful saying:  For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:  If we suffer, we shall also reign with him:  if we deny him, he also will deny us:  If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful:  he cannot deny himself.  (2nd Timothy 2:  11-13, KJV)

(05/16/2014) The Issue Is Not Accuracy

Accuracy of the Scriptures, conviction, faith, and spiritual knowledge are topics, today.  Also, there is more on adornment, church attendance, and men removing their hats in respect to GOD.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “sky” (Level 1 with 137 points, a member since April 21, 2010) posted the following:

Why would anyone choose to use a bible that isn't accurate?

How can anybody use a bible that adds writings to it that are not from the holy scriptures? How can anybody use a bible that adds some books to it from the apocrypha but does not even include all the books from the apocrypha? How can people use a bible that includes gods name Jehovah in some verses but does not include the name Jehovah to all the verses where the name belongs?

Here are some writings I know of added to most bibles that are not part of the scriptures.

-----Verses added-----

Matthew:17:21
Matthew:18:11
Matthew:23:14
Mark:7:16
Mark:9:44
Mark:9:46
Mark:11:26
Mark:15:28
Mark:16:9-20
Luke:17:36
Luke:23:17
John:5:4
John:7:53-8:11
Acts:8:37
Acts:15:34
Acts:24:7
Acts:28:29
Romans:16:24

The only bible I know of that does not add any of these writings and includes gods name where it belongs and brings the original meaning of the Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek scriptures is the new world translation of the holy scriptures.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Should Men Take Their Hats Off (05/15/2014)—(5.)  For many, wearing a hat in church is an issue centered in ideas about gender equality and social justice, rather than upon reverence and right respect to GOD, or agreement and unity with the congregation of worshipers.  Therefore, attitudes, behavior, defiance, misconduct, pride, respect, and selfishness are foremost in their considerations.  Yet, just as there are warnings against the crown of pride, there are various expressions throughout the holy writings that speak to the idea of “power on ones head.”  Included are the crown of anointing oil, a crown of glory, the crown of life, the crown of rejoicing, the  crown of righteousness, the crown of thorns, and the crown of twelve stars.  Commanded to don the whole armor of GOD, believers are to continually wear, and never remove, aspects of divinity visible only to GOD such as the helmet of salvation.  Power on ones head is especially seen through the mark of GOD, a seal upon ones forehead indicating divine authority, ownership, and a sacred, personal bond as joint-heir with Christ.  Persons who appear to be worthless to the church because of their outward appearance nevertheless should be respected and treated as having unseen accomplishments and victories in Christ.  Men are further cautioned against judging, and jumping to conclusions on the basis of appearances, for women who appear to be uncovered often are wearing hair pieces and wigs.  The use of the prayer shawl by modern Christian believers and Messianic Jews allows one to create a closet and secret chamber for prayer (we say, tabernacle).

(6.)  Church attendance has become a matter of self-expression for many believers.  The broad range of motives for church-going now includes such interests as amusement and entertainment, family bonding and home management, meet-and-greet for singles, self-discovery and self-improvement as well as re-socialization of those from prison, substance abuse therapy and treatment.  Many miss the fact that church attendance is vital to properly realizing the corporate nature of mankind in relationship to GOD.   The church is to be understood as a unique body containing life called into existence by GOD, and having many different members that function in various ways to accomplish many diverse purposes.  The needs of the whole body as a single unit must be ones focus, rather than the needs of the self.  Just as in marriage, neither the husband nor the wife may claim greater importance than their partner, and their considerations must always put their union first (not the children, not the self), believers are to make commitment wherein the spiritual needs of the congregation and others are put ahead of ones personal needs.  Several of the most difficult aspects of Christ as a model for created beings and living creatures must come into practice:  doing ones duty (correctly completing things that absolutely must be done—like it, don’t like it), humility (acknowledgment of authority, duty performed and required from others, hierarchy, and showing respect to others), and sacrifice (damage or loss willingly endured to display commitment, respect, and submission; something of value destroyed in order to turn away divine wrath, to express reverence, or petition for lenience).  Those controlled and dominated by appetite, feelings and intellect rarely experience the church as a sanctuary, a place of divine presence.  In ignorance, they behave as if at home, or out on the streets.  However, once born again, all are entered into a process of growth and transformation.  Every mature believer will operate with the motive of pleasing GOD and honoring Christ.  Their willingness to serve within the household of GOD will be displayed both in what they do, and in what they abstain from doing.  See John 7:  24, James 2:  1-13, 1st Samuel 16:  1-14, Mark 11:  15-17, Romans 12:  1-21, 1st Corinthians 12:  1-31, 2nd Timothy 4:  8, Hebrews 10:  19-29 and Ephesians 6:  10-18, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.  He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame:  and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.  Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee:  rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.  Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser:  teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:  and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.  For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.  (Proverbs 9:  6-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A “Good” Verse? (05/09/2014); What GOD Demands (05/10/2014); Bible and Spirit (04/26/2014); Personality? (04/27/2014); The Nature of Scripture (03/27/2014); Divine Sleep (03/28/2014); Reading Only The Red Part (11/19/2012); According to the Eternal Purpose (11/20/2012)

“sky”, many mature Christian believers now choose to use several different copies and versions of the Bible all at the same time during their studies along with commentaries, and other source materials.  For such believers, there are no issues regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fluency of their translations and supplements.  Conviction is not by “the letter,” and on the basis of what appears on a page.  Rather, ones endowment of the Holy Spirit determines what a reader will take away as continuing the ministry of Jesus Christ.

Through their baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak), a person receives aspects of the same spirit matter that operated in the creation of the universe, and that resided in Jesus Christ as an incarnation of GOD.   Those who are born again must learn and “grow up” again by continuing to meet life challenges in the earth.  In addition to spiritual knowledge, and new skills that come by observance of sacred practices (we say, sacraments), believers must develop discernment, a form of divine judgment wherein ones own spirit matter is applied as the standard to recognize the spirit content within events, experiences, objects, operations, other persons, purposes, things spoken, and utterance.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, in presumption and pride, many respond to the holy writings using only emotion, imagination, intellect, logic, reason, and “science,” finite gifts among created beings, and living creatures.  The inseparable aspects of divinity now available through Jesus (such as faith, forbearance, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin) are ignored, improperly exercised, neglected, and overlooked.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your meekness and faith.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.  But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,  (1st Thessalonians 5:  7-9, KJV)

(05/15/2014) Should Men Take Their Hats Off?

Adornment, church attendance, prophecy, and spirit power are topics, today.  Also, there is more on changing times and laws.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Richard” (Level 3 with 1,183 points, a member since October 05, 2010) posted the following:

Why should I have to take my cap off in church?

I wear my cap for personal reasons. I dislike everything about religion anyway, but why should men take their hats off when women keep their ridiculous looking hats on?

THE BATTLE AXE:  Changing Times and Laws? (05/14/2014)—The changing of times (i.e., appointments, calendars, pre-arranged events, pre-determined actions, schedules) and laws is practiced by men, who count themselves leaders for self-justification and self-promotion.  The changing of times counterfeits and mimics the divine operations whereby signs (we say, displays of divine power through nature, miracles, or sacred events) are provided to give assurance that a message, or prophetic demonstration claimed to be from GOD is authentic, is certain of fulfillment, is sealed (i.e., not to be altered, contradicted, or countermanded), and bears a personal signature of the Almighty, so to speak.  The framework of seasons and time is maintained through the cycles of moon, stars, and sun fashioned by operations of the Holy Spirit, and subject only to the Creator.  Mankind and the living creatures of the earth were fashioned by the Creator through the Word (we say, breath and utterance).  The Sabbath was acknowledged before the first Jew appeared in the earth, and long before the covenant of Moses.  Because those who wandered, and finally entered the Promised Land did faithfully maintain the various cycles that pertain to the Sabbath, there should be no quarrel or question as to the occasion for Sabbath observance.  As sanctified, we understand that the Sabbath has been purified and set apart for divine use.  While many speak of the Sabbath as a period of time and a day of rest from divine activity, Sabbath is more correctly understood as a stage of divine communion and fellowship with undivided focus upon all Creation.  See again Genesis 2:  1-3, Exodus 20:  8-11, Leviticus 23:  3 and Deuteronomy 5:  13-15, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:   But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.  Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.  But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head:  for that is even all one as if she were shaven.  For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn:  but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.  For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God:  but the woman is the glory of the man.  For the man is not of the woman:  but the woman of the man.  Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.  For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.  Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.  For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.  (1st Corinthians 11:  3-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Worship Wear? (01/23/2014); Relating to GOD? (11/05/2013); Does Satan Know? (11/06/2013); (Attending Church? (11/12/2012); A Holy Kiss? (11/13/2012); Christian Modesty (10/15/2012); The Meek Will Inherit (10/16/2012); Why Clothing? (10/15/2010); Known by GOD? (10/16/2010)

“Richard”, here are a few points to consider that are in agreement with Christian belief, yet, are not always completely and correctly practiced:

(1.)  The use of prayer caps, shawls, yarmulke, and other head gear by males are associated with the lifestyles and worship among Orthodox and Conservative Jews.  For that reason, many Christians feel persons who observe those practices are foreign, hostile, and unreceptive to the New Covenant in Jesus.

(2.)  The Apostle Paul commanded Gentiles and Jews of the early church to focus less upon ones physical appearance, and more upon the content of ones spirit.  Concern should be more upon the inner than the outward adornment.  Men are not to pray or prophesy—serve as official spokespersons sent from GOD within the congregation—with their heads covered.  Similarly, women are not to pray, or comfort, edify, exhort (we say, prophesy)—as spokespersons from GOD sent to the body of believers—with their heads uncovered.  For many, knowledge and obedience on this point became a key, or sign for recognizing false prophets.

(3.)  Given the spiritual status whereby husbands and wives, men and women, are joined as a single entity before GOD (i.e., a pair having one name, such as Adam), when the female has no hat or prayer cloth the male is understood as a covering for the female; and the male may cover the female’s head with the palm of his hand.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Women are taught that there is to be “power on their heads.”  Their heads should be covered when they pray as an acknowledgment of the angels—however, not as worship of the angels.  Often, angelic messengers and servants to the Most High are those who will carry out and perform the tasks necessary for a woman’s prayers to be heard and answered.  Consider again, the visitations concerning the birth of John the Baptist, and the announcement to the Virgin Mary that she would bear a child.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your meekness and faith.

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:  marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.  (Psalms 139:  13-14, KJV)

(05/14/2014) Changing Times and Laws?

Customs, divine law, Sabbath, and tradition are topics, today.  Also, there is more on why parents are careful to share the Gospel with their children.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “Jordan” (Level 1 with 51 points, a member since April 28, 2014) posted the following:

I was thinking how people say they have the authority from God to change the sabbath and that we aren't...!?

...suppose to live by the law anymore because it's done away with.
Well I was reading in Matthew today and came across this passage....
Matthew 13:36-43
....41 The Son of man shall send forth His angles, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity. Iniqiuty is lawlessness i.e. Torahlessness.
And also how come Jesus preached so hard against people keeping the traditions of men and not the commandments of God?

THE BATTLE AXE:  Why the Gospel for Our Children (05/13/2014)—(5.)  Children in Christian homes are not being given a horror story intended for amusement and entertainment that focuses upon the  betrayal, torture, and death of one man.  Rather, they are being given the keys for correctly experiencing and understanding the issues for survival, the operations of divinity throughout the universe, and eternal life for all men.  Children may embody both the accomplishments and failures of their parents, may perpetuate both the blessings and curses that come upon their parents, and may further propagate either the good works, or the sins of their parents.  As a divine instrument, children connect finite and eternal being.  Through their offspring, the living continue despite their decease, and sacred institutions are made stable and sure.  Dynasty, inheritance and legacy all serve as devices to affirm, complete, and preserve covenant, law, judgment, promise, prophecy, and intimate relationship with GOD.  Children are not to be a sacrifice—damage or loss willingly endured to display commitment, respect, and submission; something of value destroyed in order to turn away divine wrath, to express reverence, or petition for lenience—offered and transferred to GOD upon an altar.  They are to be living evidences, and vessels of spirit matter and truth from GOD.  Often, the life challenges against children (e.g., injury, poverty, sickness, separation) are no different than those that come against adults.  Thus, many life lessons must be shared with our young while they are growing, not after they are grown.  Consider again the Scriptures:  Genesis 18:  16-19, Exodus 3:  14-15, Psalms 127:  3-5, Jeremiah 3:  19, Ezekiel 37:  19-28, Acts 2:  38-39, Romans 9:  8, Galatians 4:  27-29 and Revelation 2:  18-25, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:  Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.  When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.  For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:  (Proverbs 6:  20-23, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  To Keep It Holy (02/23/2014); 7 “Godly” Sins? (02/24/2014); About Sabbath (10/16/2013); We Shall Behold Him (10/17/2013); Money-changers in The Temple? (06/23/2013); Believers and the Cross (06/24/2013); Newness of Spirit? (01/04/2013); Two Different Testaments? (01/05/2013)

“Jordan”, here are a few points important to many Christian believers:

(1.)  As the “expressed will of GOD,” divine law is eternal, immutable, permanent, and unchanging.  However, correct application and response to the law may vary in accordance with the needs of created beings and living creatures, changes among and within the spheres of existence as well as the continuous revelation of divinity.

(2.)  For many, the primary focus for relationship with GOD is deliverance from sin (we say, salvation).  Many others are seeking blessing, divine gifts and rewards such as authority, dominion, possessions, and prosperity.  Still others are focused upon achieving a peculiar level of fellowship and intimacy as children of GOD.

(3.)  How we speak of the law must change.  During the ministry of Jesus upon the earth, the expression “the law” often was used to speak of the covenants established by Moses.  The body of customs and traditions that surrounded the covenants (e.g., the convenience of money-changers on holy ground within the Temple courtyards) were practiced as if law, yet, only continued through such flaws of human character as ignorance, laziness, presumption, and pride.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  The ministry of Jesus Christ focuses upon the essence and righteousness of the law (we say, Spirit), and so does not annul, condemn, or reject the law.  Otherwise hidden aspects, operations, and purposes of divine law are proclaimed, restored, and uplifted.  Included are atonement, correction, healing, rebirth, repentance from sin, resistance to sin, perfection, and sanctification.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your meekness and faith.

If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:  Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.  (Isaiah 58:  13-14, KJV)

(05/13/2014) Why the Gospel for Our Children

The Gospel, incarnation, relationships with divinity, and salvation are topics, today.  Also, there is more on believers, evil, and GOD.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “WhiteSnyder” (Level 3 with 1,034 points, a member since February 21, 2014) posted the following:

Why are you Teaching Your Children To Be Like Jesus When HE WAS CRUCIFIED BY HIS OWN PEOPLE?

CHRISTIANS!!!

THE BATTLE AXE:  GOD Permits Evil? (05/12/2014)—(5.)  Many count it “normal” to demand the love of GOD without also having any intention of praising, serving and thanking GOD.  In their multiple errors, they also demand justice, yet, themselves make no commitment to uphold law, maintain equity and fairness, or pursue openness and truth.  Some believe that instead of affection, hugs and kisses, the most important gifts from GOD that show divine love have been freedom to encourage, indulge and introduce evil (i.e., arbitrary, destructive, and unnecessary change within divine order), and the freedom of choice whereby created beings and living creatures may deny the Almighty, and even withhold worship to GOD.  Lacking faith, holiness, and other spirit matter from the makeup of GOD, there are countless men, women, and children, who have their own thoughts and feelings as the standard for what is real, and account only their own desires and opinions as being answers, guidance, and the genuine word of GOD that they have received.  The Scriptures declare that GOD has said, Come let us reason together.  However, this does not mean GOD welcomes argument, confusion, contradiction, dispute, and quarrel.  Men may approach GOD exposing and expressing their thoughts in prayer, and acknowledging and responding to the word, and work of GOD that endures within their awareness.  Allowances are made for the many differences and gulfs between divinity, and the diverse created beings and living creatures that exist within our universe.  Divine judgment is the process wherein resolution and settlement of conflicts and disputes are accomplished through proclamations of sacred law.  Just as divine love is showcased through salvation, and divine splendor is more completely displayed in Creation, judgment is the divine operation that most reveals the righteousness of GOD.  Arrogance, defiance, deliberate promotion of error, haughtiness, iniquity, obstinacy, lawlessness, pride, and stubbornness all are under the curse.  The Scriptures also declare that GOD has said that he will walk contrary to those who walk contrary to him; and he will punish those who continue to walk contrary to him.  In human experience, bad things may happen to good people; however, not so much by the process of GOD as by the “mechanics” of life in the flesh, and in the natural world.  Also, what often seems to be a delay and postponement of justice, in fact, is a peculiar provision of mercy.  See Isaiah 1:  16-28, Leviticus 26:  1-46, Ecclesiastes 8:  11-14 and 2nd Peter 3:  9-15, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Give ear, O my people, to my law:  incline your ears to the words of my mouth.  I will open my mouth in a parable:  I will utter dark sayings of old:  Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.  We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.  For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:  That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:  That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:  And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.  (Psalms 78:  1-8, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  On Youth Doing Enough (02/06/2014); Driving Under the Influence (02/07/2014); Issues for Children’s Church? (04/06/2013); Outgrowing Childhood Prayers? (04/07/2013); Confessing Only to GOD? (04/08/2013); And This Was Good News (12/01/2012); A Need to Fear? (12/02/2012)

“WhiteSnyder”, by operations of the Holy Spirit imparted from GOD through the ministries of Jesus Christ, Christian believers now receive special doctrine and teachings from divinity described by such spiritual gifts as balance, faith, joy, hope (we say, expectation), insight, love, and wisdom.  Here are a few points that may help build up your understanding as you continue your studies:

(1.)  The Gospel is accounted as good news because spiritual needs and supplies are made available on a cosmic scale to maintain divine order, that are vital not only for the survival of a peculiar ethnic group, a middle eastern nation, or a relatively small region within the Roman Empire.  Sin is not a living entity, and is no material or spirit matter that has measurable dimensions, or has been put forth by GOD.  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, of the Law Giver, and of the entire Creation that is generated and maintained through sacred law.  As something that is “no thing”, sin can neither be detected, eliminated, nor resisted using only finite intellect, logic, reason, and science.

(3.)  Even a child can understand that one obtains a more complete and full benefit in their relationships that are based in love, positive purpose, respect, and truth.  Saying this another way:  children most feel secure when they are with those who acknowledge, supply, and help them to meet their own needs.  As our advocate, and mediator, Jesus helps us develop a right relationship with Almighty GOD, where we are embraced as dear children, and not mere objects that exist upon the earth.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  The suffering, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ pertain to completing sacred operations that make divinity known and visible to created beings and living creatures.  Included are atonement, covenant, forbearance, forgiveness, judgment, longsuffering, proclamation, promise, prophecy, repentance, resurrection, and sanctification.  Through baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak) and once mature, believers serve as the children of GOD, and “incarnations” of GOD (the appearance of divinity in human form) as did Jesus Christ.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;  And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.  (Ephesians 5:  1-2, KJV)

(05/12/2014) GOD Permits Evil?

Judgment by and against divinity are topics, today.  Also, there is more on the body of Moses, glory, and resurrection.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using ID “FAT MAN” (Level 4 with 2,594 points, a member since May 31, 2008) posted the following:

Why wouldn't a loving G-d punish evil and wickedness?

I see many people claim that G-d isn't loving because there's so much evil in the world, an they're generally the same people who say a loving G-d wouldn't send anyone to hell.

Doesn't this violate the law of non-contradiction?

Can G-d be wrong both for permitting evil and for not permitting evil?

THE BATTLE AXE:  The Body of Moses (05/11/2014)—(6.)  The Scriptures report the glorification of Moses through two separate accounts of “mountain-top” encounter:  (1) following being set apart for 40 days and nights, fasting, praying, and communing with GOD, the face of Moses shone and emitted divine glory when he returned to the camp of those with whom he had left Egypt; and (2) Moses appeared in a resurrected and glorified body when he was seen with Jesus and Elijah before the trio of witnessing apostles in the mount of transfiguration.  Moses ministered to Jesus in accordance with the prophetic works of comfort, edification, and exhortation.  This display was primarily for the benefit of Jesus, supplying added measures of faith and other spirit substance necessary to fulfill the spiritual demands of crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and ascension.  Additionally, the apostles were further prepared for their participation in the events to come, particularly, the outpouring of divine gifts by the Holy Ghost at Pentecost.  Where Moses was excluded from entering the Promised Land by virtue of disobedience, irreverence, and ungodly rage, Moses is granted entrance into the Holy City, New Jerusalem, through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus as High Priest applying the blood of the cross.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour:  for we are members one of another.  Be ye angry, and sin not:  let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Neither give place to the devil.  Let him that stole steal no more:  but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.  (Ephesians 4:  25-32, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Teachings on Judgment (06/06/2013); Those Who Never Heard? (06/07/2013); A GOD of Love? (05/07/2013); Commanding the Storm? (05/08/2013); The Love of GOD (03/03/2013); Our Need for a Son (03/04/2013); Justice Comes by Love? (10/01/2012); A Daily Revelation? (10/02/2012)

“FAT MAN”, here are a few points shared among Christian believers that also may be useful to those in authority to judge GOD:

(1.)  Both judgment (we say, truth-finding) by and judgment (we say, condemnation) against divinity demand acknowledgment of myriad subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning and value).  This is particularly true regarding divine operations, sacred processes, motives and eternal purposes as well as the spirit matter or consecrated content of created beings and living creatures, objects, and events within life experience.

(2.)  Many lack the awareness and focus that allow exchange and personal relationship with GOD as Comforter, as Creator, as Law Giver, as Maker, as Savior.  Seeking to pursue their point(s) without correct knowledge of divine terms and procedures, they repeatedly dismiss “vital evidence,” “jump to conclusions,” overturn what might be called “due process,” and violate the rights of the accused.  Their effort to establish a truth that GOD is at fault generally collapses into a mere display of defiance, ignorance, lack of respect, and enslavement to sin.

(3.)  In Scripture, GOD plainly states that he creates “evil”.  However, GOD does not create sin and wickedness.  Evil is sudden and widespread destruction (we say, calamity, disaster, upheaval) that demonstrates the active presence, authority, and sovereignty of GOD. Just as GOD has created the earth, and mankind has created “the world”—a system of interrelated devices for communication, exchange and survival—there are many differences between the things from GOD and the things from men.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  As surely as love is not the only aspect of divine action, the outcomes of judgment include more than simply destruction, pain, punishment, and the use of divine force.  There also may be such features as baptism (death of ones inborn nature, rebirth having divine DNA, so to speak), correction, forbearance, forgiveness, longsuffering, repentance, and sanctification.).

(05/11/2014) The Body of Moses

The death, burial and resurrection of Moses are in view, today.  Also, there is more on what GOD demands from humans.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “mohammad” (a Level 1 member with 95 points active since May 11, 2014) posted the following:

Is the body of Moses was taken up by God ?

THE BATTLE AXE:  What GOD Demands (05/10/2014)—(4.)  It is in the nature of relationship that GOD is no more demanding of humanity than humanity is demanding of GOD.  Just as the dimension, the nature, and the quality of material objects focus and limit how they may be used as tools or weapons as well as how long they endure and display value, created beings and living creatures, the conditions and spheres for their existence, and the operations and processes for their exchanges and interactions have been established and generated in accordance with aspects of divinity.  All that is must have place within, and respond to, such frameworks for being as divine order, eternal purpose, and spirit makeup.  Boundaries are not imposed on an arbitrary, random, or subjective basis.  Restraints and restrictions are imposed only to allow and provide such benefits as balance, change, completeness, definition, direction, fertility, growth, opportunity, prosperity, protection, revelation, safety, and vision.  It is an aspect of divine integrity within relationship that humans are not asked to serve as though they were angels.  Thus, self-generated expression for mankind is to be maintained.  Moreover, the peculiar beauty and strength of mankind are also established through humanity’s dependence, infirmity, and vulnerability.  Even so, the expressed will of GOD as divine law and judgment are also to be maintained.  Consider again the Scriptures:  Psalms 127:  1-2, Psalms 149:  3-4, Jeremiah 9:  23-24, Ezekiel 18:  23, Matthew 11:  28-30, 1st Corinthians 10:  13 and Revelation 4:  11, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts:  and by it he being dead yet speaketh.  By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:  for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.  But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  (Hebrews 11:  4-6, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Anointed? (04/28/2014); No More “Mr. Nice Guy”? (04/29/2014); Resurrection from the Dead? (04/23/2014); Not A Matter Of Opinion? (04/24/2014); Moses Killed? (09/23/2014); A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014); Face to Face Like Moses? (01/28/2014); Covenants and Relationships (01/29/2014); Salted with Fire? (09/24/2013); “Authorized Personnel Only” (03/13/2013)

“mohammad”, here are a few points recorded in the Holy Bible:

(1.)  The Scriptures report that Moses died in the land of Moab.  Although he was 120 years old, he continued to show health and stamina (his natural force was not abated, or diminished).  In obedience to GOD, Moses went up to Mount Nebo, and the top of Pisgah, and did not return to his people.  Moses was not translated as was Enoch, nor taken up by a chariot of fire, as was Elijah.  Later, Moses appeared as an evidence of resurrection from death.

(2.)  A 30-day period of mourning was observed for Moses as if his body had been recovered, and as though he had been given the full rites of burial.

(3.)  The Scriptures report that the archangel Michael disputed with the devil about the body of Moses, yet would not violently assault the Adversary.

(4.)  The Scriptures report that in preparing for his crucifixion, Jesus went to the top of a mountain accompanied by three of his apostles.  There, the Savior met with Moses and Elijah, and was transfigured before these eye-witnesses, who also heard the voice of the Father.  While the miracle of water to wine was the first display of divine glory as power by Jesus, the transfiguration was the first bodily display of his divine glory.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Where these things may be found:  See Genesis 5, Deuteronomy 34, 2nd Kings 2, Jude 1, Matthew 17, and Mark 9, KJV.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.  For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living:  for all live unto him.  (Luke 20:  37-38, KJV)

(05/10/2014) What GOD Demands

Divine demands upon mankind are the topic, today.  Also, there is more on sharing a “good” verse when ministering, or sharing personal support with others.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer with the ID “fred” (Level 2 with 850 points, a member since December 06, 2013) posted the following:

Why would an all powerful God demand anything off humans? It's not like he seeks our support to stay in office.?

However, priests on the other hand do rely on people believing what they say is true. This gives them enormous influence, control and power.

THE BATTLE AXE:  A “Good” Verse? (05/09/2014)—(6.)  It is not simply that Christian believers are not to meddle in the lives of others through gossip, selfishness, slander, and unwise words as does the Adversary, the Devil.  Believers are not to meddle in the work of GOD for cleansing, healing and salvation whereby all Creation and the entire universe are regenerated, and mankind is transformed to be immortal and incorruptible.  At first, many abuse their freedom and privilege in the Lord.  Using the Scriptures for self-expression, for self-justification, and for self-promotion are akin to apostasy, appropriating the name of GOD (i.e., identity theft), buying and selling freely given divine gifts (we say, making merchandise of the word of GOD), false doctrine, heresy, presumption, usurpation, and idol worship.  Verses among the holy writings may be thought of like bricks in the wall of a house.  You can not randomly (or safely) take one brick out, and put it into the wall of another house.  Should a single brick be removed (from the middle, the side, or the top), balance and the equal distribution of pressure is destroyed, the entire structure becomes unstable, and the breach may eventually result in collapse for both houses.  When we attempt to apply and use the Scriptures by selecting and taking verses out of context, we “wrest” (some say, wrestle with, or simply, force) unintended meaning and purpose upon the word from GOD.  By practice, prayer and continuous study of the Scriptures, believers are to gain spiritual discernment, and the ability to “rightly divide” and correctly apply Scriptures in the sacred work of clarifying, and spreading the doctrine and teachings from Jesus Christ.

(7.)  While it is true that Jesus was able to heal many without always using physical contact and touch, there still had to be a peculiar level of agreement, connection, and shared spirit substance for healing to occur.  When Jesus would speak a word of acknowledgment, assent, or command, multiple operations of the Spirit would go forward coordinating the many permanent changes to body, mind and spirit that were required.  Others were healed through the apostles after the ascension of Jesus using aprons, handkerchiefs, and even their shadow falling upon the sick.  The followers of Jesus have been conclusively shown that wounds, sickness, and sorrow are temporal things; and can be dismissed as we focus through things eternal.  It is not enough to heal the surface, the symptoms, and outward display of disease and sickness.  The problems must be completely and correctly addressed at their root.  Just as no one can lie their way into heaven, yet, everyone can lie their way out, no one may achieve healing by deceit, lies, presumption, treachery, and unbelief.  Consider Deuteronomy 29:  9-20, Psalms 56:  1-13, Colossians 2:  6-8, Matthew 3:  10, Matthew 7:  21-27, Mark 11:  12-26, John 10:  33-35, Acts 5:  14-16, Acts 19:  11-12, Ephesians 6:  11-13, 1st Peter 2: 15-16, 2nd Peter 3:  13-18 and 2nd Timothy 2:  15-16, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,  According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:  In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.  (Ephesians 3:  8-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:   Fear & GOD? (12/30/2013); Continuously Tested (12/31/2013); GOD Enjoys Judgment? (12/19/2013); Miracles are Sacred Events (12/20/2013); A Need to Fear? (12/02/2012); On Seeing Jesus Serve the Poor (12/03/2012); Mockers in the Last Days (11/14/2012); Thoughts Upon A Warrior’s Fall (11/15/2012)

“fred”, the answer you need is not simple, and requires another level of awareness and understanding.  Here are some points that may help you recognize the truth as seen by a Christian believer:

(1.)  GOD “demands” from created beings and living creatures only in the sense that there are conditions for their continued existence, their cleansing and nourishment, their exchange and interaction within relationships to divinity, and their perfection and prosperity upon the earth.  In the same way the rain makes no demand that everyone carry umbrellas, nor does it demand that everyone stand and get wet, GOD does not demand that all continue as his eternal companions.  Many will be marked for discharge and release from the various spheres for existence and life (e.g., earth, heaven, the world).

(2.)  You are correct in saying that GOD is not a celebrity or a politician who requires the continuing support of others.  GOD is a spirit whose makeup is entirely from aspects of life essence such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, person, presence, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  In their maturity and perfection, clergymen and priests are not seeking to possess authority, control,  influence, and power.  Rather, they seek to acknowledge that all power resides in divinity, and then strive to assist others in coming to that awareness.  In the same way, our mothers are not demanding Mothers Day gifts—and I did not demand that anyone read this statement, and offered it without charge or fee—the process of GOD through all Christian believers is one of sharing sacred knowledge and truth along with prophecy (i.e., comfort, edification (building up), and exhortation (urging others to take positive action).  )  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.  (1st Corinthians 14:  33, KJV)

(05/09/2014) A “Good” Verse?

Today, points are shared for Christians who want to minister support to friends and those needing encouragement.  Also, there is more on the dead and pain.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using ID “Adrianne Hurst” (Level 2 with 359 points, a member since August 18, 2011) posted the following:

What is a good verse from the bible?

I had this random guy on fb.... not even my friend .... post saying " I can't go on anymore." No likes not a single comment I look at his profile and he looks as if he has no friends. I would like to give him a good verse from the bible. And show him that there is A God who loves him. Any ideas?

THE BATTLE AXE:  On Death and Pain (05/08/2014)—(6.)  It is through operations of the Holy Spirit that readers and students of the Scriptures understand, many statements that appear are conditional, and serve as warnings.  This is also true regarding prophecy.  Thus, unlike correction and punishment, admonition, forbearance, forgiveness, and warning are not always properly recognized as aspects of judgment.  An example of this is seen with the words of Jesus in Luke 12:  4-5, KJV, that command believers to “fear him” (i.e., show proper respect to the one having authority and sovereignty), not to “fear hell” (death, dying, pain, torment).  Such Scriptures as Mark 10:  43-48, KJV, that speak in terms of eternal fire that shall not be quenched also declare there will be no intervention by divinity to terminate the burning that is judgment.  The reference is not to “common fire” used in the earth among mankind for cooking, for light, and for warmth.  Sacred fire that may separate divine matter from profane must come into view.  Even so, the operation and process of holy fire is completed and “put out” once everything that feeds the fire has been consumed.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.  (Proverbs 26:  17, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Behold What Manner of Love (02/28/2014); Why Christians Pray for Others (01/12/2014); GOD is Jesus? (01/13/2014); Asked to Help? (12/11/2013); Prayer on Behalf of Others? (11/25/2013); Those Who Never Heard? (06/07/2013); If You Are Sent…? (06/08/2013)

“Adrianne Hurst”, here are a few points Christian believers have to keep in mind as they minister to others:

(1.)  Often, the most effective Scriptures for you to use when assisting and healing others are the ones that come from your heart.  There should be a oneness, and unity for your personal truth with the truth recorded in Scripture.  Saying this another way, the truth you share should not introduce conflict.  Share only the things that are “heartfelt”, and that somewhat describe your own acceptance, commitment, desire, and understanding.

(2.)  The holy writings, in fact, are to continue divine law, sacred operations, and the eternal purposes of GOD.  For that reason, they repeatedly fail when used as poetry, “pretty words,” and statements to express ones own sentiment.  The message from a Hallmark card could be more in line with what you intend.

(3.)  Divine love is expressed throughout the Scriptures in terms of sacred events and spiritual operations.  Thus, in place of affection, emotion, and feeling the love of GOD appears in such aspects of experience as admonition, atonement, birth, death, forgiveness, unselfish service, and suffering.

(4.)  Those who choose to get involved in the serious problems of others also must accept accountability when their intervention causes things to become worse.  Anger, bitterness, and self-destructiveness may be increased.  The helper may be blamed, and condemned for both their good intentions, and their good works.  More than this, because there is no “up front” agreement one should not expect payment.  Similarly, neither should the helper expect thanks.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Nowadays, many make the mistake of presuming upon others by “getting into” their heads, analyzing and writing prescriptions for their emotional and psychological health, trying to guess and predict their next action.  Most have done no study or training that addresses professional standards, and that make it possible for caretakers to not become confused, depressed and sick themselves.  Therefore, such amateurs are in danger, and can be dangerous; and may do more harm than good.  Unasked for explanations are called excuses; unasked for help is called meddling.  The best remedy for many who are meeting life struggles can be that other persons keep their distance, and maintain their silence.  The message of divine love must be discovered, come from, and be received through the divine Spirit.  The things of GOD are not accomplished so much by intellect, logic, reason, and science, as by faith, holiness, righteousness, and truth.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments.  This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.  (2nd John 6:  6, KJV)

(05/08/2014) On Death and Pain

Today, Scripture teachings on pain and the state of the dead are considered along with the idea of eternal torment.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “voney” (Level 3 with 1,060 points, a member since December 12, 2013) posted the following:

Does the Bible show whether the dead experience pain?

At:
Eccl. 9:5, 10 it says that “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol,* the place to which you are going.”

(If they are conscious of nothing, they obviously feel no pain.)
Sheol refers to the grave.

Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts* do perish."

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:  on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.  And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,  And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle:  the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.  And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city:  and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:  and another book was opened, which is the book of life:  and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:  and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.  (Revelation 20:  6-15, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Immortality (02/08/2014); Destroying the Resurrected Body? (02/10/2014); For They Shall Be Ashes (02/11/2014); Only While We Live? (12/02/2013); Reveal Himself To All? (12/03/2013); The Dead in Christ? (11/18/2013); Too Much Holy Spirit? (11/19/2013); The End of Pain? (06/10/2013); Night Cometh (06/11/2013); Death Has Been Transformed (05/09/2013); Loving the Enemy? (05/10/2013); After We Die? (10/04/2012); Does GOD Feel? (10/05/2012); Ghosts (09/02/2012); About Conversion (09/03/2012)

“voney”, here are a few points I can share based upon the holy writings, and the common sense reasoning for those who are led by the Spirit of Christ:

(1.)  The state of the dead, the state of the blessed following judgment, and the state of the damned are three closely allied concerns that the Adversary uses to repeatedly challenge believers.  The same subtlety (i.e., manipulation by hidden differences; barely visible shifts in meaning or purpose), and wiles that were practiced against our first parents (Adam) are used to introduce spiritual confusion, and to overthrow commanded expectation (we say, hope).

(2.)  The process of the Scriptures is one of using bananas to describe watermelon—ignoring their differences, both are exactly the same:  Both are green (at least, at first); both are fruit, both function as protection and vessels for seed (though banana seeds are barely visible and seedless watermelon has become popular like seedless grapes); and both are tasty as treats.  In Scripture, carnal, material and social features are used to describe and demonstrate things that are totally made up from spirit matter such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Awareness of divine condemnation is described using finite terms that are appropriate to the flesh such as aguish, pain, and suffering.  However, eternal separation from GOD is also the removal of the godly substance that establishes ones own existence, character, and person.

(4.)  Jesus used the parable of Dives and Lazarus (see Luke 16:  19-31, KJV) to instruct and prepare those closest to him for his own crucifixion, the sacred events on the day of Pentecost, and the revelations that would come by the Spirit of Truth.  The parable does not have the same application and authority as the visions found throughout the Book of Revelation.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  There must be a correct knowledge of both death and judgment.  The idea that hell is a sphere of human existence (i.e., a place where people may walk, talk, quarrel among themselves, hunger, thirst, crave contact and affection, etc.) agrees with the declaration of the serpent in Eden:  Ye shall not surely die.  Hell is thought a place where men will be totally aware of their sins and wickedness as they burn, and are tortured forever.  However, those who insist upon endorsing such a false promise of eternal life are effectively removed from the salvation of GOD in Jesus Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith, and the substance of divinity within you.

The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.  Wisdom is better than weapons of war:  but one sinner destroyeth much good.  (Ecclesiastes 9:  17-18, KJV)
