Adornment, church attendance, prophecy, and spirit power are topics, today. Also, there is more on changing times and laws. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Richard” (Level 3 with 1,183 points, a member since October 05, 2010) posted the following:
Why should I have to take my cap off in church?
I wear my cap for personal reasons. I dislike everything about religion anyway, but why should men take their hats off when women keep their ridiculous looking hats on?
THE BATTLE AXE: Changing Times and Laws? (05/14/2014)—The changing of times (i.e., appointments, calendars, pre-arranged events, pre-determined actions, schedules) and laws is practiced by men, who count themselves leaders for self-justification and self-promotion. The changing of times counterfeits and mimics the divine operations whereby signs (we say, displays of divine power through nature, miracles, or sacred events) are provided to give assurance that a message, or prophetic demonstration claimed to be from GOD is authentic, is certain of fulfillment, is sealed (i.e., not to be altered, contradicted, or countermanded), and bears a personal signature of the Almighty, so to speak. The framework of seasons and time is maintained through the cycles of moon, stars, and sun fashioned by operations of the Holy Spirit, and subject only to the Creator. Mankind and the living creatures of the earth were fashioned by the Creator through the Word (we say, breath and utterance). The Sabbath was acknowledged before the first Jew appeared in the earth, and long before the covenant of Moses. Because those who wandered, and finally entered the Promised Land did faithfully maintain the various cycles that pertain to the Sabbath, there should be no quarrel or question as to the occasion for Sabbath observance. As sanctified, we understand that the Sabbath has been purified and set apart for divine use. While many speak of the Sabbath as a period of time and a day of rest from divine activity, Sabbath is more correctly understood as a stage of divine communion and fellowship with undivided focus upon all Creation. See again Genesis 2: 1-3, Exodus 20: 8-11, Leviticus 23: 3 and Deuteronomy 5: 13-15, KJV.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. (1st Corinthians 11: 3-12, KJV)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Worship Wear? (01/23/2014); Relating to GOD? (11/05/2013); Does Satan Know? (11/06/2013); (Attending Church? (11/12/2012); A Holy Kiss? (11/13/2012); Christian Modesty (10/15/2012); The Meek Will Inherit (10/16/2012); Why Clothing? (10/15/2010); Known by GOD? (10/16/2010)
“Richard”, here are a few points to consider that are in agreement with Christian belief, yet, are not always completely and correctly practiced:
(1.) The use of prayer caps, shawls, yarmulke, and other head gear by males are associated with the lifestyles and worship among Orthodox and Conservative Jews. For that reason, many Christians feel persons who observe those practices are foreign, hostile, and unreceptive to the New Covenant in Jesus.
(2.) The Apostle Paul commanded Gentiles and Jews of the early church to focus less upon ones physical appearance, and more upon the content of ones spirit. Concern should be more upon the inner than the outward adornment. Men are not to pray or prophesy—serve as official spokespersons sent from GOD within the congregation—with their heads covered. Similarly, women are not to pray, or comfort, edify, exhort (we say, prophesy)—as spokespersons from GOD sent to the body of believers—with their heads uncovered. For many, knowledge and obedience on this point became a key, or sign for recognizing false prophets.
(3.) Given the spiritual status whereby husbands and wives, men and women, are joined as a single entity before GOD (i.e., a pair having one name, such as Adam), when the female has no hat or prayer cloth the male is understood as a covering for the female; and the male may cover the female’s head with the palm of his hand.
There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Women are taught that there is to be “power on their heads.” Their heads should be covered when they pray as an acknowledgment of the angels—however, not as worship of the angels. Often, angelic messengers and servants to the Most High are those who will carry out and perform the tasks necessary for a woman’s prayers to be heard and answered. Consider again, the visitations concerning the birth of John the Baptist, and the announcement to the Virgin Mary that she would bear a child.). Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your meekness and faith.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. (Psalms 139: 13-14, KJV)

(01/24/2014) Mankind Destroyed?
Apocalypse, what happens to mankind, and the end for Satan are topics, today. Also, there is more on what we should wear to worship. A writer at “Yahoo! Answers India” using the ID “Carl” (Level 1 with 95 points, a member since 23 January 2014) posted the following first asked at Yahoo Answers United States:
Why is God going to destroy man before he destroys Satan?
THE BATTLE AXE: Worship Wear? (01/23/2014) [first published with Why Clothing? (10/15/2010)]—The use of clothing began with mankind’s use of leaves as aprons. Through a perversion [i.e., turning away from truth; applying sacred objects and truths to profane, and secular purpose], the pair associated themselves with trees rather than animals or created beings, and sought to be covered and hidden through “rootedness” [i.e., inactivity, silence, stillness]. In place of leaves, GOD supplied Adam and Eve with a physical covering of sheepskin through the sacrifice of a living creature that still held its sacred content in innocence, a lamb. The pair also required a “covering” for their minds. Thus, the divinely prepared clothing was to serve as a memorial to the lamb that was slain, and a prophetic foreshadowing of Christ, the Messiah. Thereafter, each time they looked on one another the pair was to be reminded of (1) the difference from their former status, (2) the difference in their accountability as female and male, and (3) that the divine person is revealed in judgment, just as GOD would see the blood and spirit-covering of Jesus eternally when looking upon the believers among fallen mankind.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20: 6-15, KJV)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER: The Fullness of GODhead? (01/09/2014); World Without End? (01/10/2014); Able to Become Gods? (01/11/2013); Like a Thief? (12/01/2013); Only While We Live? (12/02/2013); A Partnership? (11/05/2012); To See With New Eyes (11/06/2012); Life and Death (09/26/2012); Mob Rule and Violence (09/27/2012); Doom (09/20/2012); Contradictions? (09/21/2012)
“Carl”, mankind will never be destroyed or terminated by Almighty GOD; and even today, humanity is being altered and permanently changed through the ministry of Jesus Christ to exist forever with GOD. Here are a few points shared with Christians believers through the Bible:
(1.) Satan is called the “accuser of the brethren,” and is thought to control and rule Death. However, all the wicked who have ever lived will be raised from the dead to appear before Christ in a separate judgment after Satan has been cast into the lake of fire. As judge, Jesus will not accuse any from the earth, nor will holy angels, demons, devils, or other men. Each person must appear to answer the witness of their deeds recorded in the Books of Life. Each person’s own life will be their only accuser.
(2.) Jesus will come to harvest the earth of all those who have accepted, participated in, and responded to his divine authority, sacred messages, and eternal purposes. Called the “Advent,” the “second coming,” and “the Rapture”, this sacred event is also called the “first resurrection,” because it will include the quick (many who are alive at that time), and the dead (who may have been in their graves for many ages).
(3.) Because now the earth we are living upon is polluted with blood and sin, the believers must meet Christ “in the air.” As they are taken up, they will be made immortal and incorruptible (i.e., no longer vulnerable to decay, defilement and sin). The consecrated and sanctified Savior will not set foot upon the earth until the earth and heavens are made new.
There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood. (For example, (4.) As with Creation, mankind has little say about the many divine operations for judgment and salvation that may only be completed by GOD. Yet, believers are presently preparing to serve as priests and kings along with Jesus. For such eternal life has already begun, and can only be interrupted by death, not completed, ended or finished.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6: 40, KJV)

(01/23/2014) Worship Wear?
The apparel and clothing we should put on as we enter the divine presence for worship are topics, today, along with more on “the flesh.” The writer at “Yahoo! Answers Canada” using ID “ebenezer” (Level 1 with 28 points, a member since December 30, 2013) posted the following first asked at Yahoo Answers United States:
How important is the way we dress when we worship god ?
THE BATTLE AXE: Spirit Gives Birth to Spirit (01/22/2014)—While “the flesh” refers to carnal, material and physical conditions for the body (such as appearance, motor coordination, features, form, pain, pleasure, sensation, and temperature), as used by Jesus and throughout the holy writings, the word “flesh” also applies to emotional, intellectual, and mental events (such as disposition, introspection, moods, pride, temper, and self-awareness). Aspects of relationship also may be labeled as “the flesh” (such as competition, conflict, envy, malice, passion, and rivalry). See Galatians 2: 19-21, 1st Peter 4: 1-6, 2nd Peter 2: 9-11 and 1st John 4: 2-4, KJV.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. (1st Peter 3: 1-4, KJV)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Attending Church? (11/12/2012); A Holy Kiss? (11/13/2012); Christian Modesty (10/15/2012); The Meek Will Inherit (10/16/2012); On Religious Items (08/29/2012); On Cults (08/30/2012); What is Worship? (10/18/2010); No Free Will (10/19/2010); Why Clothing? (10/15/2010); Known by GOD? (10/16/2010)
“ebenezer”, often in present-day assemblies and congregations there is an acceptance of casual dress and “street clothing” at church gatherings in order to place emphasis upon inward learning and growth, rather than upon outward and surface appearances. Here are a few points from Scripture you may find useful:
(1.) What a person wears may set them apart (we say, prepare and sanctify them) for holy service; and their apparel when they approach GOD in worship communicates intent, respect and the content of their spirit (such as faith, gratitude, holiness, humility, joy, wisdom, wrath against sin, and zeal). Thus, it is written: And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons. And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty. And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office (Exodus 28: 1-3, KJV).
(2.) They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat. And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments. Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads. (Ezekiel 44: 18-20, KJV)
(3.) I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. (1st Timothy 2: 8-10, KJV)
There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood. (For example, (4.) Many Christian believers now understand that Adam and Eve first appeared before GOD covered only by a radiance that came from within their own inner being. When the pair forgot the word spoken by GOD, and violated trust, all mankind lost this aspect of divinity, and as carnal creatures in flesh now must use clothing to cover nakedness.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. (Romans 13: 12, KJV)
