(11/22/2020) Explaining The Earlier Covenants

The images of Abraham (left) and Jesus Christ (right) are shown together acknowledging the connection among the diverse covenants through Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Christ.

Covenant practices and signs are in view, today, responding to a question on the frequent discussions of circumcision that appear from the Apostle Paul. The early church was required to demonstrate that they were anchored in the sacred knowledge displayed among the temple elders and the Rabbis. Paul began his apostolic ministry within the synagogues by appealing to believers among those who regularly attended. At first, belief in Christ was put forth as only a further expression of GODs covenant promises granted to the Jews. However, many of those who escaped from captivity and exile became grounded in tradition, and were determined to restore and preserve the covenant of Moses along with the Torah as what earlier had been provided as the highest blessings from GOD. Circumcision that had been bestowed on Abraham and his household as a mark of covenant relationship was not correctly acknowledged by the time of Moses, nor was circumcision uniformly practiced when divinity appeared on the earth using human form and life-process as Jesus Christ. Christ received circumcision as part of his inheritance and authentic humanity. Even so, circumcision was never intended by divinity as an outward mark of approval and consecration, or as a mark of disgrace and humiliation. Authentic sanctification (being set apart to serve divinity) appears by conformity to covenant law and sacred practices (e.g., observing the Sabbath; tithing; using the prayer shawl); and while circumcision is to be a visible declaration of commitment to relationship with divinity, a man will display his circumcision to fewer than 100 others during his entire lifetime (e.g., companions, doctors, family, etc.). It is written: Romans 4: 8-16, King James Version (KJV): 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: 12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised. 13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: 15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, A fighter in the “Yahoo! Why is circumcision mentioned so much in the Bible?

Why was it so important that the Apostle Paul kept referring to it?

Updated 1 hour ago:

Is it a sloppy intrusion by male culture into a sacred text?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (John 8: 52-58, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Made Perfect By Divinity (11/10/2020); The Foreskin And Circumcision? (10/13/2020); Do We Follow Paul? (10/01/2020); Godliness Characterizes Authentic Humanity (02/06/2020); Heaven Speaks Using Mankind (09/15/2019); No Wall of Partition (07/05/2019); Scripture Has No Ethnicity (05/27/2019)

Shallowhale”, your focus is on the flesh, not the Spirit. Just as Christian believers today are to share with skeptics and sinners who seek new lives that release them from the operations of sin, the Apostle Paul was repeatedly challenged to explain what appeared as hidden connections among the operations of divinity through Jesus Christ and the earlier proclamations, sacred promises, and prophecies from GOD. Circumcision was granted to Abraham as a visible sign of covenant relationship between immortal, incorruptible, unseen divinity and mankind. GOD was to be acknowledged as more than an abstract Creator and Maker; divinity was to exist in continuing relationship through spirit process and substance imparted from the makeup of GOD that included balance, commitment, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, mercy for those found guilty in judgment, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. The covenant of Moses that followed some 400 years later provided the divine presence through sacred law, identity as a sacred nation, and as a divine instrument to resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and likeness of GOD. By focusing on the law as the foremost of all divine blessing, many mistakenly rejected and refused to receive and embody an indwelling spirit that would remove the obstacles continued by finite flesh (e.g., appetite; mind; sensation; self-will (willpower) ). Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.) Jeremiah 31: 31-37, King James Version (KJV): 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. 35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. 37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

(2.) Galatians 3: 16-18, KJV: 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. 18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

(3.) Galatians 3: 26-29, KJV: 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christs, then are ye Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Hebrews 10: 28-29, KJV: 28 He that despised Moses law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(08/23/2020) What The Cave Comprehended

I recently heard a sermon broadcast at familyradio.org that included an account of the Cave and the Sun visiting one another so they might understand the others repeated references to “darkness” and “light”. As Christian believers, our anchor and focus for answering the challenging discourse and thoughts others share must always be the proclamations, promises, prophecies and unchanging purpose we receive from divinity. In that presentation, the Cave first visited the Sun and was dazzled by the presence of light that appeared to be everywhere. When the Sun made its visit to be with the Cave, the Cave led the Sun to a deep crevice to see gross darkness. However, both the Cave and the Sun saw only light. The Cave displayed isolated pits and other locations to the Sun. However, they all were filled with light. The Cave remarked that these places were filled with darkness until the coming of the Sun; and to me the point of the sermon seemed to be, life throughout Creation was filled with darkness until the coming of Jesus Christ. In reflecting on what I had heard, I realized the Cave and the Sun account is regarded by many as a classic of wisdom, yet, I remained unwilling to become entangled in fleshly truth or discourse that challenges the Bible. Beyond the cycles of darkness that present shadows and night there are multiple aspects of darkness that serve divinity. Included are gross darkness, obscure darkness, unfathomable darkness, and unspeakable darkness. Similar accounts have been found among the Sufi as well as the writings of Plato; and have been held to be an allegory, analogy, or parable distinct from a fable (that provides a lesson using animals and objects that speak). It is written: Isaiah 60: 18-20, King James Version (KJV): 18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. 19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. 20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and the selection from the music ministry of John Michael Talbot:

THE GOLDEN ARROW: In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? (Psalms 56: 11-13, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Divine Process and Substance (06/24/2020); Divinity Commanded the Void (01/28/2020); The Light Of Life (12/04/2019); To Learn From GOD (11/11/2019); When the Donkey Speaks? (11/03/2016); Living In The Light? (01/18/2015); Balaam (10/15/2013)

(1.) 2nd Peter 1: 16-19, King James Version (KJV): 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

(2.) John 1: 1-5, KJV: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

(3.) 1st Samuel 2: 8-10, KJV: 8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORDs, and he hath set the world upon them. 9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. 10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

(4.) 2nd Corinthians 4: 5-7, KJV: 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

(5.) 1st John 1: 5-7, KJV: 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

(6.) Malachi 4: 1-3, KJV: 1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

(04/16/2020) The Resurrection Of Christ

The image depicts Mary Magdalene and the Resurrected Christ.

Today, the reply is on the resurrection of Jesus Christ as an operation carried out by divinity to fulfill sacred law, spirit process, and consecrated purpose, rather than material works to restore the physical body and flesh of a man. The resurrection of Jesus was to accomplish more than returning life to one who is dead; sinners are to be transformed to become the new creation. Multiple divine goals are addressed including judgment to determine those who will receive eternal life as well as judgment to determine the distribution of rewards to those who have been redeemed. It is written: 1st Corinthians 3: 11-15, KJV): 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every mans work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every mans work of what sort it is. 14 If any mans work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any mans work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion & Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile info shown) posted the following:

Why is it so important for Christians to accept that Jesus rose from the dead? Why make such a bizarre and unlikely event so fundamental?
It makes Christians look completely silly.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; (1st Peter 2: 5-9, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Miracles and Christian Belief (01/30/2020); The Judgment For Rewards (01/10/2020); Only Divine Resurrection Saves (12/24/2019); More Required Than Crucifixion? (12/10/2019); Proof of The Resurrection (12/01/2019); Sin Depicted Using Flesh (11/22/2019); New Birth By Resurrection (09/27/2019)

Anonymous”, among mature Christian believers the meaning and value for the resurrection of Jesus Christ result from multiple operations of divine fullness (divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). The resurrection of Jesus Christ pertains to the continued existence of divine law; recovering the Creation that has been put forth from GOD; providing a birth process for mankind that does not use sexual reproduction; and the final elimination of sin. GOD exists as a spirit (active presence) who is immortal, incorruptible, and invisible. Even so, GOD is the origin of all that exists and has life; GOD has established the divine order that appears as our universe; and GOD has provided the frameworks and operations of finite consciousness and self-will (willpower) such as time and space. GOD exercises authority, divine prerogative, dominion, eternal purpose, and sovereign will. Where the living contain the same inseparable aspects of divine spirit that appeared on the earth within Jesus Christ, GOD interacts with created beings and living creatures in an ongoing relationship. The life essence (breath; spirit; word) imparted from the makeup of the Creator gives man possibilities and a potential to display the character, process, and substance of Deity without also removing their integrity and soundness as finite beings. Like the imparting of gifts from the Holy Spirit, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a divine demonstration (we say, an act in good faith; a down payment; an earnest) to show the validity of all divine judgment, promise, prophecy, and revelation. Believers receive a fresh endowment of such elements as balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Consider again the following that uses language from the holy writings, and a selection from the music ministry of Dallas Holm:

(1.) Romans 6: 3-6, King James Version (KJV): 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

(2.) Romans 6: 8-13, KJV: 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

(3.) Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Rise Again from Dallas Holm @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IzsF5F1xrI.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(03/31/2020) Endure Trials Through Faith

Today, reply is on continuing to express faith as the response Christian believers are to make against the current threats of the covid-19 pandemic. Faith and the many other spirit gifts from GOD do not influence and manipulate human circumstances, events, and conditions so much as they interact and operate to transform the content of human consciousness and self-will. The imbalance, infirmity and weakness among men require responses by divinity that will build up, edify, and nourish the spirit power and substance within the living. Inheritance and mortality were two of the divine devices fashioned from love and mercy that were used to circumvent immediately executing the sentence of death for transgression (i.e., the annihilation of mankind). By these, the process of GOD is revealed to be one like that a smith uses when making objects of metal. The finished product is hardened, tempered, and given its permanent strength first by hammering, then by heating in fire, and then by dousing in cold water. It is written: Hebrews 11: 32-40, King James Version (KJV): 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion & Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data shown) posted the following:

What would Jesus do in the current COVID-19 pandemic?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8: 28-31, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: On Behalf Of Others (03/26/2020); The Challenge of Covid-19 (03/22/2020); Leadership By The Church (03/18/2020); Acknowledging Christ as Son (03/08/2020); Miracles and Christian Belief (01/30/2020); Christ Displayed Authentic Humanity (10/09/2019); You Will Receive Power? (12/28/2018)

Anonymous”, among Christians, our best answers to calamity, catastrophe, uncertainty, and upheaval must continue to express the faith we ourselves have received from GOD, and that we are to minister to others. The current focus that death and destruction will overspread the earth because of covid-19 expresses our human concern for the features of life that pertain to the flesh (e.g., appetite, sensation, emotion), and does not also address the features of life that pertain to the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ carried out a ministry among men on the earth that addressed the process and substance of the Spirit from GOD that exists within comfort and forgiveness from divinity, divine law, prophecy, unselfish service, and godly suffering. Mankind has been in a continuing condition of mortality since the fall of Adam. By divine dispensation, the sanction of death against transgression that came upon mankind in the fall of Adam is delayed and postponed to appear as the second death that will follow final judgment. Multiple sacred operations also have been created to continue the existence of mankind as a companion to immortal, incorruptible, invisible divinity. Included are adoption, glorification, justification, redemption, resurrection from the dead, salvation, and sanctification.

Mature Christian believers agree that divinity appeared in the earth using human form and life process as Jesus Christ (the Son of Man) to continue the priesthood granted to Adam that was modeled after the sacred observances in heaven. As the Son of GOD, Jesus responded to covenant law, divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of divine fullness. Christ prepared mankind to receive a fresh endowment of life essence (i.e., breath; spirit; word) that would establish his followers as the new creation. Finite human tools of intellect, logic, carnal reason, and self-will (willpower) can not bring about the elimination of sin. Even so, the living can be equipped to resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus that expresses commitment, discernment, and reconciliation to GOD. Through the ministry of Christ as a divine High Priest, an atonement for sin has been made, and inseparable aspects of divine fullness are imparted to indwell humanity. Included are faith, holiness, hope, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Christ has demonstrated the operations and substance of divine spirit residing within flesh. Just as human self-will can not eliminate sin, men on the earth who are anointed and ordained as vessels of divine spirit can not dismiss or remove mortality. The deposits of divine spirit that believers receive enable an uninterrupted focus on Christ, and increases the ability to endure bereavement, conflict, contradiction, disaster, loss, and ruin. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Douglas Miller:

(1.) 2nd Timothy 1: 7, King James Version (KJV): 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

(2.) Luke 13: 1-5, KJV: 1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

(3.) 1st Peter 1: 3-9, KJV: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENv7zIo_j9M.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(03/22/2020) The Challenge of Covid-19

A depiction of the corona virus that causes covid-19 infection as it might appear using an electron microscope

Today, reply is on whether covid-19 is a punishment sent by GOD against mankind. To Christians, death and the fulfillment of mortality are manifestations of the flesh, rather than the Spirit of GOD. While thousands of deaths are now being attributed to the spread of the virus throughout the world, the gift of spiritual discernment provided to Christian believers indicate no clear sacred events, divine manifestations, or operations of the divine fullness are appearing through covid-19. The fulfillment of divine promise, revelation, and salvation are being continued as the most necessary and visible works of GOD. That the Advent (day of the Lord; the harvest; the Rapture; the Second Coming) arrives “as a thief in the night,” states that there will be no further atonement or warnings as provided through the ministry of Jesus Christ. It is written: 2nd Peter 3: 9-13, King James Version (KJV): 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; A fighter in the “Yahoo! Is God punishing mankind with the coronavirus?
I heard a traditional Catholic priest say in his sermon that God is punishing mankind for his sins. He was comparing the coronavirus pandemic to the Flood as recorded in the Book of Genesis.

Is God punishing mankind with the coronavirus?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3: 16-21, KJV)

Corey”, Jesus Christ is to be received as an High Priest who makes atonement for sin. Divinity does not use corruption, decay, rot, and surprise attacks to communicate with mankind. Even so, there are ongoing acts of divinity that will be completed without further warnings. GOD has used consecrated spokespersons to announce and proclaim forgiveness, opportunities for repentance, and possibilities for reconciliation as well as plagues and punishments that appear as expressions of divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. Mature Christian believers are encouraged by the agreement that exists among the record of sacred events shared in the holy writings, divine law, the proclamations of prophecy, and the Incarnation of Jesus Christ that all demonstrate existence and life for mankind as a companion to divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) are unchanging aspects of divine intent. The commandments uttered to Adam and repeated to Noah, “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth”, were given no expiration dates, and have not been annulled, canceled, or yet completed to meet the highest divine standards. Thus, believers understand that the works of GOD include a vast range of “unfinished business.” Included are harvesting those who belong to Jesus Christ from the earth; resurrection of the wicked for their final judgment; the destruction of the Devil; the elimination of mortality and sin; placement of the New Jerusalem on the earth; and the second death. Much of the corruption and disease we see in the earth has appeared through the operations of mechanical process and natural law, and are not a direct expression of divine will. More than the destruction of life on the earth, the highest divine objective is salvation. Consider again the following expressions of love and divine admonition that use language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Wintley Phipps:

(1.) Luke 12: 4-5, King James Version (KJV): 4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

(2.) Hebrews 10: 26-29, KJV: 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

(4.) Hebrews 9: 24-28, KJV: 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

(03/19/2020) "Sinners" And "The Righteous"

A depiction of a sinner being covered by the righteousness of Christ.

Today, reply is on how the holy writings declare that all have sinned, yet, there are some who are called “the righteous.” There is no contradiction or error, here. The children and descendants of Adam (the male and female created by GOD) all inherit the label of “sinner” and the condition of mortality. The living complete a span of life by fulfilling an obligation to experience their own death. All have been made subject to death through the sanctions against transgression that were proclaimed at Creation along with the divine law. Divinity did make allowances for mankind to display godliness by obedience to divine law and by partnership in a perpetual covenant, however, human efforts and finite self-will (willpower) could not manifest the necessary inner substance for the complete recovery of mankinds character and nature. Jesus Christ has appeared on the earth using human flesh and process to establish consecrated possibilities for mankind to be accounted as righteous, to be released from condemnation for sin, to exist permanently as the new creation, and to escape the irreversible punishment for sin (the second death). Mankind is to acknowledge the righteousness of GOD appearing through the life and ministry of Jesus serving as a divine High Priest on the earth. In addition to atonement, forgiveness, mercy and reconciliation, Christ embodies otherwise inaccessible grace, justification, eternal purpose, and sanctification. It is written: Philippians 3: 7-10, King James Version (KJV): 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; A fighter in the “Yahoo! If all humans are sinners, why does the Bible make a distinction between sinners and the righteous?
Psalm 1:5 - “Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.”

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (Galatians 2: 16-21, KJV)

(08/20/2019)

potato”, sin can not be eliminated through human efforts and imperfect obedience to sacred law. Even so, the righteousness of GOD may appear within men as faith and other spirit substance. Among Christian believers, only where sinners become joined to Christ, and begin to manifest Jesus in their lifestyles and daily routines are they spoken of as “the righteous.” Mankind may be understood as continuing to exist in spite of sin through multiple operations of divinity that express the unchanging character, purpose, and substance of divine fullness (we also say, Deity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). Adam (the first pair) became subject to the sanctions that were stated as a further aspect of the revelation provided to fit them for companionship with GOD who is immortal, incorruptible, and invisible. The “law” proclaimed that death (we say, mortality; sleep; the second death) would result by disobedience, yet, did not explain that humanity is to display the image of GOD that only appears by the exchange and interaction of the inseparable aspects of “life essence” (breath; spirit; word) imparted from the makeup of GOD. Included are balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Divinity did not alter or annul the divine law. To continue and fulfill the consecrated intent expressed in the Creation, divinity has provided atonement, correction, covenant, forgiveness, Incarnation (divinity using human flesh and process to appear as Jesus Christ), priesthood, promise, prophecy, resurrection from death, and many other sacred operations. By acts of GOD, mankind is released from the condemnation to exist as sinners that resulted when Adam violated their relationship with the Creator. The operations of sin oppose the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and the universe produced by divine order. Sin promotes nonexistence, and a return to the conditions of chaos, confusion, and flux that were in place before the founding of heaven and earth (we say, preexistence). Sin may dominate consciousness and self-will (willpower) in created beings and living creatures; yet, sin cannot influence or manipulate the sovereign will of GOD. Salvation from sin and eternal relationship as a companion to divinity are accomplished by GOD as the living acknowledge they are being transformed to exist as vessels of divine DNA (so to speak), joint-heirs with Christ, and “the new creation.” Believers are to resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus Christ. The Savior himself is the most complete and correct appearance of the renewed righteousness that must be found within mankind. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Steve Amerson:

(1.) Romans 5: 18-19, King James Version (KJV): 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one mans disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

(2.) Romans 6: 3-11, KJV: 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(3.) Romans 1-9, KJV: 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(For example, (4.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge1axMPsN-g.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(03/08/2020) Acknowledging Christ as Son

A depiction of the Roman soldier who acknowledged Jesus as the Son of GOD following the Savior's death on the cross.

Today, reply is on the birth of Jesus Christ through the operations of GOD, rather than the operations of the flesh. The birth of Jesus is a part of a larger operation by GOD to redeem mankind. The full array of divine actions that were performed by GOD for the nativity of Jesus are not reported in the holy writings. Even so, Christian believers apprehend the birth of Jesus as agreeing with revealed prophecy, promise, and eternal purpose. In addition to appetite (e.g., hunger, sexual cravings, thirst), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching) and the effects of emotion/mind (e.g., anger, fantasy, fear, recall), the flesh continues to generate organic changes and shifts in ones conscious focus, reactions, and responses. To continually acknowledge the character and nature of Jesus Christ as consecrated and sacred, one must rely on sacred process such as discernment, and the use of ones own spirit content to realize and respond to the spirit matter within events, oneself, other persons, presentations of doctrine, prophecy, etc. It is written: Luke 1: 30-38, King James Version (KJV): 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion & Spirituality using the ID “Yesterday Strikes Back” (Level 6 with 10,556 points) posted the following:

Is Jesus the biological son of the god?

And what are the christian sects which deny that Jesus is the only biological son of the god?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (John 1: 10-17, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Miracles and Christian Belief (01/30/2020); The Meat That Perishes (01/13/2020); Sin Depicted Using Flesh (11/22/2019); Christ Displayed Authentic Humanity (10/09/2019); Spirit Using Human Form (08/16/2019); The Mystery of GODhead (10/21/2018); Mary (06/13/2014); The Estate of His Handmaiden (06/14/2014)

Yesterday Strikes Back”, here are some points that may help. Jesus was born from the flesh of a woman, yet, not through the animal and human process of sexual reproduction. Those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as the son of GODand who have no spiritual confusion or unanswered questionsdo so by continuing within a “closed system” for knowledge and truth (we say, staying inside the box; conforming to the dictates of faith). Rather than his height, weight, and other features, focus must be on the spirit matter and substance of Christ that expresses divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. Sinners who turn to GOD through Jesus Christ must become developing believers who undergo a transformation that is so comprehensive we say, You must be born again; grow up again; and become mature/ripe for harvest by the Lord at his appearing. Mature Christian believers only rely on sacred knowledge that entails specific definitions, language, meanings, standards, and values that are distinct and separate from those for such disciplines and studies as history, academic instruction, philosophy, politics, science, and secular knowledge. The finite human tools of intellect, logic, carnal reason, and “critical thinking” are expressions of the flesh, rather than of the spirit substance within mankind that was imparted as breath and life essence from GOD at the time of Creation. The sum of all divine substance (we say, divine fullness; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) is alive, exists as spirit in form, and displays multiple discrete, yet inseparable, aspects. Included are balance, commitment, faith, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. While spirit is manifest as invisible and unseen, and does not always use material and physical form, spirit can be known as active presence, cause, influence, and power. Mankind should be understood as fashioned in the image of GOD; and Christians are to resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus Christ. Even so, consciousness and self-will within created beings and living creatures may be corrupted and dominated by the operations of sin that oppose the continued existence of sacred law. Jesus appeared on the earth through operations of GOD that went beyond the ongoing frameworks for time and space, mechanical process, and natural law. While on the earth he was subject to aging, gradual growth, having to get and process shared knowledge through communication, and mortality.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (01/14/2020) Was Divine Power Squandered?

Today, reply is to complaints that (1) Jesus Christ failed in his mission to provide salvation to mankind; (2) the Savior should have re-written the holy writings to fix human social problems such as bias, discrimination, and prejudice; (3) the Savior did not apply all the ability, authority, and power of a god; and (4) the Lord did not perform the necessary good works that could improve mankind. Jesus not only came to provide atonement for the sins of mankind; Jesus was sent to fulfill divine promises and prophecies; and to establish the new creation. Spiritually immature and immersed in worldliness, many feel it is correct to criticize and condemn Christ for having as his priority such elements as forgiveness, healing, mercy, ministry, praising the Father, reconciliation and suffering, rather than sending the wicked to hell, punishment, and the second death. It is written: 2nd Corinthians 5: 17-21, King James Version (KJV): 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christs stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. What you think? Do you agree?
If Jesus is God, then why didn't Jesus use his omniscience and omnipotence to actually do something magnificent and beautiful on earth rather than squandering his "power" as he does in the Bible?
Think about all the problems that Jesus could have solved. At the very least, Jesus could have transcribed passages into the Bible that would have ended sexism, racism and slavery forever.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. (Luke 4: 14-21, KJV)

(06/14/2018)

Anonymous”, GOD has done what only a righteous God may do, and what you count as essential guidance for mankind must be imparted through an indwelling Spirit. The opportunity and possibilities established in the appearance of divinity on the earth using flesh and human form (we say, the Incarnation) as Jesus Christ were presented following multiple operations by GOD across time and space on behalf of all Creation, and were carried out to fulfill the requirements of sacred law, judgment, divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. During his appearance on the earth, Jesus Christ demonstrated authentic humanity, how mankind is to exist acknowledging the supernal, and how the living are to serve as vessels displaying the image of GOD. The followers of Jesus are to resemble, reflect, and reveal his character and likeness through their own ongoing lifestyles and daily routines. GOD, who is an immortal, incorruptible and invisible spirit, was made known and revealed using carnal, material and social realities that are accessible to the living. Although mankind was fashioned to exist as a companion to divinity, the operations of sin generated mechanical and natural laws that render all who inhabit the earth subject to conditions of death, decay, mortality, and spiritual confusion. Sin promotes nonexistence and a return to the chaos, flux, and incoherence that were in place before the founding of heaven and earth (preexistence). Sin is indiscriminate, irrational, mindless, and without personhood. Sin opposes the continued existence of sacred law, divine order, the Lawgiver, and the further of the universe. Sin is no created object, contains no spirit substance, and presents no material form that may be eliminated or undone by a simple act of divine destruction. Even so, sin has direction, effect, and “presence”. Sin has not been put forth by GOD, yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will (willpower) within all created beings and living creatures, including angels. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Steve Amerson:

(1.) 1st John 3: 4-8, KJV: 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

(2.) Romans 6: 3-12, KJV: 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

(3.) Luke 7: 18-23, KJV: 18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things. 19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? 20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? 21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. 22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. 23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
