(07/19/2020) The Sons Of GOD?

Today, reply is on Jesus Christ as the “only begotten” son of GOD, and the operations of GOD that transform the offspring of Adam to appear as sons and daughters of GOD in the earth. Intimate relationship with divinity is only by judgment, by the continuing presence of divine substance, by the unfolding of prophecy, and by undergoing transformation through divine operations that are lawful yet unseen. Sinners who become born again are to receive a fresh endowment of spirit substance imparted from the divine fullness (i.e., divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). Inseparable aspects of divinity are provided such as balance, commitment, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. The living are joined to GOD the Father and to the Holy Spirit through the baptism, crucifixion, and resurrection life of Jesus Christ. It is written: Hosea 1: 5-11, King James Version (KJV): 5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel. 6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away. 7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen. 8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son. 9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God. 10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. 11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel. A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion & Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data shared) posted the following:

Why does God only have ONE Son? Why does God need a Son? Why does NT say God gave His only Son? Are they two gods? ?
All of us are God's children?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. (John 11: 47-52, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Godliness Characterizes Authentic Humanity (02/06/2020); The Persons Within Godhead (12/20/2019); Sin Depicted Using Flesh (11/22/2019); Pharisees and The Father (02/01/2019); We Are His Children (10/16/2017); No Less GODs Creation (12/01/2016); The Relationships With GOD? (11/30/2016); A Different Spirit Content? (11/29/2016)

Anonymous”, you have posted five different questions here, and to avoid confusion in your answer you must be careful to use the language and order that comes by sacred knowledge, rather than the language of academic studies, politics, science, and secular knowledge. Mankind may only engage divinity through covenants and ongoing relationships that acknowledge sacred law and divine order. The earth was populated through Adam who used mechanical and natural elements we call sexual reproduction. Jesus Christ appears among mankind on the earth through a single, one-time immutable divine operation (we say, Incarnation) that provides a manifestation of divinity having authentic humanity, and using multiple primary life processes for created beings and living creatures (e.g., birth, aging, discovery, gradual growth, learning, death) that also would respond to mechanical patterns and natural law within the earth as a material sphere. Acknowledging the Incarnation, we say, Jesus is the “only begotten” son of GOD who is set apart (sanctified to be used by GOD) through his divine makeup and substance received (1) during his conception within a virgin that occurred by workings of the Holy Spirit, (2) through his anointing in her blood that occurred by his breaking her hymen at his birth, and (3) by his fulfillment of multiple divine proclamations, promises, and prophecies. To become the offspring of GOD, and to exist as lawful heirs to a divine inheritance with Jesus Christ, those alive on the earth through Adamic reproduction must be transformed to exist as the sons and daughters of GOD through death of their inborn spirit, rebirth having inseparable spirit substance imparted from the makeup of GOD, and operations of the Holy Spirit. (We say, you must be born again, grow up again, and become mature/ripe for harvest from the earth when Jesus comes again.) Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and He Must Be Love, a selection from the music ministry of Steve Amerson:

(1.) Romans 8: 13-19, King James Version (KJV): 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

(2.) 1st John 3: 1-10, KJV: 1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

(3.) Galatians 4: 4-7, KJV: 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVM8eD-4pag.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(05/24/2017) The First Common Ancestor?

The Creation of Adam

Today, reply is made to errors concerning GOD being in relationship as an ancient ancestor to mankind.  Rather than as business partners, family, and members who share other temporal social relationships among humankind, created beings and living creatures are perpetually joined to immortal, incorruptible divinity through operations that are spirit in their anointing, oneness without sameness, purpose, and substance.  Examples are seen with adoption, covenant, marriage, priesthood, and rebirth.  Correctly understood, Jesus Christ “appears within the frameworks of time and space” (we say, manifests), is “begotten” as well as “made” (see Psalms 2, John 1 & 3, and Hebrews 1 & 5), and is also to be revealed (Revelation 1).  The Lord is properly understood as having been “reproduced” from the flesh of Adam, yet, is to be known as an eternal aspect of the active presence who is GOD.  The Savior, Jesus, was born of a woman, under law first given by GOD to mankind in the form of a covenant spoken aloud by GOD to the men, women, and children assembled with Moses, and later detailed, refined and reinforced with recorded decisions and judgments.  More than this, the Lord was born under promises uttered by GOD in the hearing of the first pair, Adam and Eve that they appropriated as hope and certain expectation.  The existence of Jesus Christ within the fullness of Deity before the creation of heaven and earth is described through the holy writings in the Gospel According to John, where Christ is the aspect of GODhead called “the Word” (see Chapter 1).  It is no error that the genealogy of Jesus Christ written in the Gospel According to Luke traces the Savior as the Son of Man from Adam, who was fashioned to exist as a son of GOD, and was not begotten from GOD through sexual reproduction.  This is later edified in the Scriptures through the Epistle to the Hebrews where Christ is proclaimed the Son of GOD through mysteries of Incarnation, divine promise, and prophetic proclamation.  The fighter at “Yahoo! 7 Answers (Australia)” using the ID “mr. mojorisin” (Level 1 with 2 points, a member since October 24, 2014) posted the following:

If we go back to the beginning is God the first common ancestor to each living organism? That means God is my Great, Great... Grandfather?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of GOD.  (Luke 3:  35, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Flesh, Then Beyond (05/23/2017); The Fullness of GOD? (05/21/2017); Human Nature, Divine Spirit? (05/18/2017); The Holy Spirit “Begotten”? (02/27/2017); Many Sons of GOD? (06/28/2016); The Firstborn, Higher than Kings? (12/18/2012); The Ascension of Christ? (12/19/2012)

“mr. mojorisin”, following the example of Jesus Christ that maintains plainness of speech, many mature Christian believers only say “Abba” and “Father” when speaking to  GOD in private prayer.  The language that speaks to origin and source is directed to process within the frameworks of time and space, while language such as “common ancestor” speaks to social relationships, inherited substance, inseparable aspects of shared makeup, and the multiple endowments that have established created beings and living creatures.  Going “back to the beginning,” GOD must be understood as an active presence and the only summation containing all spirit matter (we say, the GODhead) who displays such features as communication, exchange, life essence (we say, breath, spirit, word), person, eternal purpose, and oneness without sameness.

GOD is to be known and spoken of on the basis of divine deeds and works, rather than a single appellation (name) or title.  Thus, believers acknowledge that divinity emanates material and spirit substance, puts forth the living and the environments and spheres of life where they endure, determines duration both for existence and life among the living, and establishes levels of access and intimacy along with spiritual tools for ongoing interaction (e.g., divine law, status as sons and daughters of GOD, priesthood, sacred knowledge, spokespersons, holy writings).  Going further, divinity both assigns meaning, quality, and value, and resolves conflicts and disputes by applying sacred law as a standard (i.e., judgment).

Believers in Jesus Christ are embraced as the offspring of GOD through operations of the Holy Spirit that include repentance and baptism (death and burial of ones inborn spirit with rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak).  Because Christians are a new creation and vessels of divinity, they also are “joint-heirs” with their Savior.  Even so, those who are “born again” also must “grow up again” to become ripe (mature) for harvest at the appearing of Christ (we say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  Consider the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 63:  16, King James Version (KJV):  16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not:  thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

(2.)  Romans 8:  14-17, KJV:  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

(3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.) 1st John 3:  7-11, KJV:  7 Little children, let no man deceive you:  he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(02/27/2017) The Holy Spirit "Begotten"?

Today, the origin of the Holy Spirit as a “begotten” aspect of the GODhead is considered.  For many mature Christian believers, the verse from the Gospel of Matthew (28:  19, King James Version, KJV) is familiar as “the Great Commission,” however, this Scripture is not to be seen as commanding the use of specific holy names or a formula to invoke the divine presence during rituals of water baptism.  What should come into view, instead, is how the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are each to be knowable, known, and recognizable through the sacred actions, practices, and events they produce that may include separate aspects of baptism and rebirth.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “DIGIMAN” (Level 6 with 22,625 points, a member since June 28, 2010) posted the following:

In Matthew 28:19, is the ***holy spirit*** begotten like Jesus ?
9 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
(or Spirit)

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him:  I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:  I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.  (Psalms 91:  14-16, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Knowing GOD and Sin? (02/03/2017); Exalted By The Father? (01/26/2017); Divine Presence and Spirit (01/18/2017); The Spirit and Prophecy (01/04/2017); Holy Writings and Spirit? (12/16/2016); The Relationships With GOD? (11/30/2016); Divine Meanings and Values? (03/31/2016)

“DIGIMAN”, the GODhead is marked by oneness without sameness.  Language in the Scripture that speaks to Jesus Christ as “begotten” acknowledges the appearance of divinity using human form (we say, the Incarnation) as a tool for the full revelation of GOD whose makeup and substance is spirit.  Inseparable aspects of the totality of sacred substance have been made manifest that include faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, humility, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, active presence, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  For mature Christian believers, the major focus for the entire Scripture record (Genesis to Revelation) is Jesus Christ, not the Holy Spirit who appears as his agent, co-worker, and spokesperson.  Jesus is to be known as both the “son of Man” and “the son of GOD.”  This allows sinners to acknowledge the completeness and fullness of Deity, the continuing possibilities for correct relationship with divinity, and the eternal existence, participation, and provision of GOD for existence, life, meaning, and value.  It is correct to say that Christ was “begotten”, for the Son of the Highest did come to the earth by human birth, even though not by human sexual reproduction.  Before becoming known through flesh and spirit, the One Sent to begin the transformation of mankind through baptism and rebirth (death and burial of ones inborn spirit, rebirth having divine DNA, so to speak) existed in heaven as The Word.  Consider again the following from the holy writings:
(1.)  John 1:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2 The same was in the beginning with God.  3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
(2.)  Galatians 4:  4-7, KJV:  4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,  5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.  7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
(3.)  Colossians 1:  16-20, KJV:  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  18 And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Acts 17:  29-31, KJV:  29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.  30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:  31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.)   Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(10/23/2016) The Heir To Abraham

Jet Jesus
Today, focus is on the account of GOD commanding Abraham to send away his wife Hagar and his son, Ishmael.  Correctly understood, the holy writings focus upon the revelation of divinity through Jesus Christ, and transformation of the earth and all mankind to exist eternally as a new creation, and are not focused upon Arabs, Jews, Isaac, and Ishmael; upon current events and present-day conflicts being reported by the media; or upon the many accounts recorded as secular history.   For Christian believers the active presence of divinity must come into view.  Years before the child Isaac was born and alive upon the earth, GOD declared he would be an instrument for the fulfillment of divine promise and prophecy.  Contrary to the custom of men, the firstborn would not be Abraham’s heir.  In keeping with the divine practice and principle, “the elder shall serve the younger,” the second son would be chosen and promoted as the successor of Abraham.  Many sacred events and divine operations are recorded among the accounts of Abraham that further reveal the authority, forbearance, longsuffering, and righteousness of GOD.  Despite living as a nomad, and not being associated with any single nation or place upon the earth, Abraham is distinguished for being called “the Friend of GOD.”  Abraham was a finite being  upon the earth who maintained a covenant relationship with the Almighty through obedience, priesthood, sanctification, and good works (e.g., building altars; digging wells; leading worship for a  family and household servants that may have numbered in thousands).  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Katie” (Level 5 with 5,179 points, a member since June 14, 2013) posted the following:
Christians (and, I assume, Jews): Why in the WORLD did God basically tell Abraham to kick out Ishmael and his mom?
My dad (who is a Christian) says that the reason Arabs hate Jews is because Abraham kicked out Ishmael and his mom. According to my dad, Abraham's wife wanted him to do that. Abraham asked God what he should do and God told him to listen to his wife. Why did God say that? He's GOD, so he must have known what it would eventually lead to.
Update: Sorry for being dumb and not being able to remember Hagar's name.
THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.  But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.  Which things are an allegory:  for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.  For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.  But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.  For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not:  for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.  Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.  But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.  Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son:  for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.  So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.  (Galatians 4:  22-31, King James Version, KJV)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Divine Inheritance and Resurrection? (07/06/2016); An Eternal Inheritance? (06/26/2016);  Ye Are Abraham’s Seed (07/10/2015); Why the Jews Were Called Out? (06/15/2015); Blessing and Inheritance from Abraham? (06/05/2014); On Christians Executing Judgment (06/06/2014);  Before Abraham Was… (03/14/2013); On Titles and Respect (03/15/2013)
“Katie”, all the accounts of Abraham (the “Friend of GOD”) that appear in the holy writings are intended as further revelation to make the Creator knowable and known to created beings and living creatures.  The denial of Hagar and her son are to be understood as in agreement with specific eternal purposes of GOD before Creation; with the priesthood, proclamations, promises and prophecies established for Adam and continued by the Patriarchs; with the revelation of divinity that includes Deity appearing in flesh as the man, Jesus Christ; and with multiple devices and principles (e.g., birth-order, covenant, dynasty, inheritance) provided by eternal, immutable GOD to be in uninterrupted relationships with men on the earth who are subject to death.  The marriage of Abraham and Sarah was in accordance with divine operations, sacred purposes, and the will of GOD, where the marriage to Hagar was in accordance with desires of the flesh, disbelief, lack of faith in GOD, lack of patience and presumption (i.e., exercising authority without lawful permission; stealing and taking control) through human self-will.  As an Egyptian, Hagar represents spiritual confusion; and the circumcision of her son that established him as having status with GOD along with Abraham his father would always be opposed by his mother being outside of the divine covenant.  Abraham was also required to “give up” his second son Isaac as a sacrifice upon the altar, and was answered by GOD for his demonstration of faith that proclaimed the divine power of resurrection.  Consider again how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:
(1.)  Hebrews 11:  17-19, King James Version (KJV):  17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac:  and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,  18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:  19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
(2.)  Galatians 3:  16-19, KJV:  16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.  17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.  18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise:  but God gave it to Abraham by promise.  19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
(3.)  Galatians 3:  21-24, KJV:  21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid:  for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.  22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.  23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.  24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
(4.)  Romans 4:  13-18, KJV:  13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.  14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:  15 Because the law worketh wrath:  for where no law is, there is no transgression.  16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,  17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Galatians 3:  26-29, KJV:  26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:  for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.  29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(06/28/2016) Many Sons of GOD?

Scripture points are shared, today, on those in relationship to divinity as sons of GOD.  Repenting sinners who become disciples and followers of Jesus Christ are to understand that through the Savior’s ministry upon the earth, death upon the cross, and ongoing service as Risen Lord, believers now have position and status as a new creation, and are the children and heirs of GOD.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “SUPERSTAR” (Level 6 with 12,843 points, a member since November 28, 2009) posted the following:
Was Jesus Christ the only son of God?
THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.  For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one:  for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,  Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.  And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.  Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.  For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.  (Hebrews 2:  9-18, King James Version, KJV)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Priesthood and The Cross (03/20/2016); In The Divine Household? (05/05/2016); Offspring of GOD? (12/23/2015); Son of Adam and of GOD? (06/16/2014); Focus of Believers? (06/17/2014); Our Need for a Son (03/04/2013); Unless You Repent (03/05/2013)
“SUPERSTAR”, mature Christian believers acknowledge several figures from the holy writings as “sons” to GOD.  Included are Adam, David, Solomon, and Jesus Christ with his apostles James, John, and Peter.  While Adam received life by an out-breathing of divine spirit (we also say, breath, life essence, divine word), mankind has generally received standing as the offspring of GOD through their inheritance in covenant relationship as the chosen and elect successors to Adam.  The “sons of GOD” have been set apart (we say, consecrated, ordained, sanctified) to maintain upon the earth a priesthood modeled after that in heaven.  Thus, the Scriptures identify Abel, Seth, Enoch and the Patriarchs as notable among the myriad sons and daughters of Adam.
Jesus Christ is said to be “begotten and not made,” and is preeminent as the only son of GOD who has come through divine conception, and virgin birth.  Only Jesus has served as Redeemer and Savior.  More than this, only Jesus has been witnessed as having suffered, died upon the cross, been made an incarnation of sin, been raised from the dead, and ascended into heaven.  Both aspects of the flesh and operations of divinity establish Jesus as a carnal, material, and social appearance of GOD who is a spirit.
Through the ministry of Jesus as an eternal High Priest within the heavens, atonement is being made for sinners who are yet upon the earth.  There is now access to divinity through rebirth and “adoption of the Holy Spirit” such that as many who repent become acknowledged as children of GOD and joint-heirs with Christ.  Consider again how these ideas are stated using language from the Bible:
(1.)  1st Chronicles 29:  10-13, King James Version (KJV):  10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation:  and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.  11 Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:  for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.  12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.  13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
(2.)  1st Chronicles 28:  4-7, KJV:  4 Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever:  for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:  5 And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.  6 And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts:  for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.  7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
There is far more that should be carefully said, thoughtfully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  14-17, KJV:  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.)  Even so, I am sure this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(04/29/2013) Both Born Holy?

Focus today is upon the differences between John the Baptist and Jesus Christ as sons from GOD that were born with the Holy Spirit. Also, there is more on Noah’s flood and the provisions of GOD to preserve mankind. The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Chris” (Level 1 with 193 points, a member since February 2, 2010) posted the following:

If John the Baptist and Jesus Christ Both Born with The Holy Spirit?

John the Baptist, Son of Zechariah and Jesus Christ Son of Joseph, Both born with Holy Spirit then why Christians believe that Jesus is the only son of God.

THE BATTLE AXE: Destroyed in Noah’s Flood? (04/28/2013)—(6.) The task of supplying food for the variety of animals that would enter the ark was relatively simple because, prior to the flood, the food stuff provided from GOD for all living was the same, “every green herb.” Seed and provisions for agriculture and farming had been taken into the ark along with stores for food. Noah, his sons, and all the living creatures that left the ark were commanded by GOD to reproduce and to replenish the earth through lives centered in family, work, and worship. In the divine mind, family is to be a peculiar union of souls bound by shared goals and sacred purposes. See Genesis 1: 30 and Genesis 9: 1-17, KJV). (7.) The priesthood from Adam that was continued in Noah also centered in acknowledging atonement for sin through blood, and looked forward to the appearance of GOD in flesh to provide a final, holy cleansing. The sacred dynamics of faith, grace, and promise were a “life line” for the remnant that left the ark. In the same way mankind was to look above for the beauty of the rainbow, for cleansing of the waters, for winds to carry away from the living the continuing stench of the earth, and for divine healing of the soil, the mountains and the sky, all living were to look to GOD for grace, justice, and righteousness in covenant. See Genesis 8: 15-22, KJV. (8.) The work of recovery given to Noah could not be accomplished using the world’s wealth, credit and loans from the nations. The flood survivors were able to start because they were guided by experience, knowledge, memories and understandings they had acquired through the operations of GOD. Similarly, through the holy writings (not available to Noah), and through the imparted, indwelling Spirit of Christ, believers today are also granted a bright, clear vision that empowers their living and covers them as a shield in the face of condemnation, death, destruction, disease, opposition, persecution, threats, and upheaval. See Ezekiel 1: 27-28, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved. He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light. But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. (John 5: 33-39, King James Version)

Chris, the question you have posed is one many mature Christian believers have carried before GOD through their prayers. Among the various satisfying truths we have received are the following:

(1.) The process of GOD for mankind must be progressive and temporal, and is intended for created beings and living creatures throughout the universe of GOD. Saying this another way, the revelation of GOD is continuous, eternal, and ongoing, and occurs in uninterrupted stages that prepare and lift from level to level those who have understanding.

(2.) The sending of prophets became an aspect of covenant relationship the day GOD spoke the law from Horeb, and the people in terror, petitioned that GOD would speak to mankind again only by human agents such as Moses. See Deuteronomy 4: 5-20, Deuteronomy 5: 1-7 and Deuteronomy 18: 15-22, KJV.

(3.) There are several examples of miraculous births (childbearing by barren women) before that of John the Baptist; and John is to be seen in both the tradition of the Judge Samson, the Priest/Prophet Samuel as well as the Prophet Jeremiah. The absolute authority and sovereignty of GOD over judgment, life, death and salvation are all signaled. See Jeremiah 1: 4-9, KJV.

(4.) Jesus is spoken of as the “only begotten” in the understanding that he is an appearance or incarnation of GOD in human flesh, and is not by fertilization, mitosis (cell division), and human reproduction. The birth of John is by the operation of the Holy Spirit through and upon flesh, while the birth of Jesus is by a deposit of divinity from the Holy Spirit within flesh. Mary, the mother of Jesus, had been specially chosen, prepared and set apart for divine service as child bearer and caretaker.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (5.) Knowing Jesus was baptized by John, many who are not yet mature in their understanding ask, Who was John taught, anointed or baptized by? In the same way John was born into the priesthood of Levi, he was born to be the herald to the kingdom of heaven in Jesus Christ.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(12/19/2012) The Ascension of Christ?

The return of Jesus to heaven by ascension, how believers overcome skepticism, and titles for Jesus as heir of GOD are topics, today. The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “Agent Sixty Three” (Level 2 with 792 points, a member since September 13, 2011) posted the following:

Did Jesus 'ascend' into heaven 'physically'?

Is that phrase literal? Does it mean what it says or is it another one of those twisted, mistranslated, misunderstood, poetic, allegorical, or figurative phrases?

Because I thought heaven was NOT 'up' but in a completely different dimension.

And I thought heaven was NOT a physical place, as physical bodies are the cause of most sins to begin with.

So what's going on here?

Let's hear some excuses.

THE BATTLE AXE: The Firstborn, Higher than Kings? (12/18/2012)—The title “firstborn” applied to Jesus as Son and heir of GOD goes beyond merely identifying the primary actor in a legal process to preserve an estate, dispose of a deceased person’s belongings, or to transfer ownership of carnal and material substance. The Son of GOD is declared to be preeminent; and Jesus is titled “firstborn from the dead.” As with the titles “begotten” and “firstfruits”, Jesus is distinguished as generated from Spirit, and born of a woman from flesh, under the law, yet, not conceived, fashioned and made through human reproduction. More than this, Jesus is again generated from Spirit, “born again” as the planting and seed of GOD, restored in resurrection, under the law, yet, not through human methods of husbandry. (See Galatians 4: 1-7; Acts 13: 29-31; 1st Corinthians 15: 20-28 and 32-58; Colossians 1: 9-20, King James Version.)

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9: 24-28, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: A Golden Ticket? (11/30/2012); Given the Cloud of Witnesses (11/29/2012); How Was GOD Known Before Jesus? (10/06/2012); Jesus King of Earth? (10/07/2012); A Man in Heaven? (09/23/2012); Aliens? (09/24/2012); Reason to Believe (01/12/2012); On Going to Heaven (01/13/2012); Spirit or Word? (12/11/2010); Justification? (12/12/2010)

Understanding the things of GOD provided by the ministries of Jesus Christ (upon the earth, and from heaven) requires a broad awareness of spiritual reality that begins in the fact that GOD is a spirit; and we—though created beings and living creatures bearing flesh and blood—must worship him relying upon our own inner spirit, and our human disciplines for sharing truth (see John 4: 19-26, King James Version). Among mankind, the divine spirit uses devices and demonstrations that can be recognized and understood as aspects and details of a comprehensive truth. Together, various visible features describe godly provisions, divine processes, and otherwise unseen sacred purpose. Included are incarnation, birth, anointing, sanctification, death, resurrection, judgment, salvation, and eternal life.

Everyone who comes to Christ begins with a measure of disbelief that blocks, and interferes with the operation of the imparted Spirit from GOD that must abide within the believer as their guide and teacher. Study of the holy writings that document the action and presence of GOD among men, nourishes and strengthens the human spirit; and redirects emotional and mental energies away from fantasy and imagination. Old ideas about what is possible or impossible are gradually altered, and the ability to recognize the many aspects of divinity in the earth (i.e., true spiritual discernment) is established. This was true for all those whom Jesus called as his apostles, and continues to be true unto this day.

Mature Christian believers stand firm in the truth that GOD did appear in human form as Jesus of Nazareth to fulfill divine promises and complete sovereign works that were begun in the Creation. Jesus demonstrated authority over both the natural and spirit world through miracles that included exorcism, feeding, healing, and raising the dead. More than this, Jesus demonstrated and embodied the righteousness contained in divine law as well as the godly wisdom requisite for divine judgment.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, the proclamation that Jesus would return in the same form and manner that was used in his leaving is consistent both with the covenant promises of GOD, and the expectations commanded (we say “hope”) granted to mankind for final resolution of the mystery of GOD, and a full revelation of the GODhead. GOD continues to exist using the form of a man in heaven by the Person of Jesus Christ.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
