Today, reply is on why Christians no longer observe dietary and other prohibitions that are recorded in the Old Testament. The covenant of Moses (we also say, the law) was provided as a “perpetual” covenant. Even so, GOD promised Israel that a new covenant would be made extending to the Gentiles, and to all mankind. While the demands of divine law and eternal purpose remain unchanged, how the living acknowledge, express and fulfill the law is now different. Mature Christian believers acknowledge the fulfillment of the divine promise for new covenant by the life, ministry, death on the cross, resurrection, and ascension into heaven of Jesus Christ along with men on the earth receiving the Holy Spirit. Where Jesus taught that man lives not by bread alone, rather, by every word that proceeds from the mouth of GOD, he also was declaring that life as a spirit process must come into view, not a carnal, material process such as eating and drinking. The word from divinity is to be understood as an appearance of the person and substance of GOD. By his word, GOD is active and present in the form of breath, life essence, speech and spirit. It is written: John 6: 47-54, King James Version (KJV): 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. “Anonymous”, there are those who argue that Jesus was a vegetarian, yet, mature Christian believers trust that Jesus regularly ate the lamb of Passover, and would have shared portions from such family sacrifices as calves and bullocks offered in thanksgiving. Many Christian believers, today, trust that the ancient dietary laws and Judaic ordinances (e.g., circumcision; observance of feasts and festivals; performing ritual washings to remove uncleanness; prohibitions against entering the home of a Gentile) that challenged the early church have been satisfied through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, and outpourings of the Holy Spirit. In addition to the multiple streams of truth that release the followers of Jesus from pursuing justification by obeying the “letter” of the law, the doctrine of Jesus is that men are to manifest and make visible righteousness, and the spirit imparted from the makeup of GOD that resides within all sacred law. A gathering of the apostles was held in Jerusalem to resolve the rifts and quarrels that began to appear over Gentile believers being required to behave as Jews, and over believers sharing food with their family and close friends that had been offered to idols. The outcome was four principles to be observed among both Gentile and Jewish believers. Consider the following that uses language from the Bible along with a selection from the music ministry of John Michael Talbot:

Ecclesiastes 3: 9-13, King James Version (KJV): 9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. 11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. 12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. 13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

Acts 15: 18-20, KJV: 18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

(4.) Colossians 2: 16-23, KJV: 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. 20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

(11/21/2019) Divine Goodness Includes Accountability

Today, reply is on displaying accountability for Creation and preserving the universe as inseparable aspects of the divine goodness GOD provides to created beings and living creatures. While finite consciousness can conceive form and process for life experience that focuses on things carnal, material and social, created beings and living creatures can not depend on their own intellect and self-will (willpower) either to secure a permanent place as life companions to divinity, or to overcome the operations of sin without divine intervention. GOD must appear among the living as active presence who initiates and completes multiple sacred tasks that include atonement, forgiveness, ending mortality, rebirth, sanctification, resurrection, and executing the second death. The operations of GOD to cleanse, heal, preserve and restore mankind are not constricted by the frameworks of time and space, or mechanical and natural law. Even so, there are multiple elements that appear relying on immutable divine laws, sacred principles, published proclamations, promise, prophecy, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. Today, reply is on the fullness of Christ, and the appearance of divine revelation as incomplete. For many Christian believers having faith is not a matter of knowing all the details of doctrine and teaching from the Bible; more important are having the correct expectation, hope, sharing of respect, and trust that GOD will provide forgiveness and mercy despite all our human shortcomings. Taken together, even fragments and a few things shared among Christian believers provide authentic witness pertaining to Jesus Christ, corroborate and support one another, are graphic and memorable, and can be discerned as containing righteousness, spirit content, and aspects of the divine nature. Jesus is alive and present through endowments from the Spirit of Truth now abiding in the earth as his representative. "Anonymous”, more than through the ancient Scriptures, the Salvation of GOD is to be in the life as an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ. The principle of “the Bible alone” speaks to the authority for complete and correct sacred knowledge being found with the library of sixty-six books provided by GOD, rather than the Apocrypha, secular documents and materials developed by historians, scholars, and other writers who may not be providing discussion under the direction of divinity. The process and substance of revelation must be understood as deriving from divine Spirit, and is accepted, endorsed, and promoted through the inseparable aspects that make up divine fullness. Included are balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Sinners who turn to God through Jesus Christ are not required to become all-knowing, yet, all who become born-again are expected to “grow up again” to be harvested from the earth by the Lord at his appearing (the Advent; the Rapture; the Second Coming). While living on the earth, developing and mature believers are to ripen for harvest through commitment, discovery, gradual growth, sacred practice, unselfish service, and suffering. In addition to divine law and sacred instruction, believers are provided with admonition, challenge, correction, judgment, rebuke, and sorrowing for sin. Today, points on the Ten Commandments and sacred law are shared reflecting on a recent exchange with a former co-worker from the Library of Congress that is now posted on my pages at facebook.com. The excellence of sacred law is its origin as truth communicated and provided within personal relationships joining mankind to divinity. Divine law can not be received among those lacking faith and the other inseparable aspects of divine fullness imparted to mankind through the ministries of Jesus Christ. Included are forbearance, holiness, hope, humility, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. The testimony must be acknowledged that the law was provided written on tables of stone by the finger of GOD, and has been spoken aloud by GOD to the multitude assembled at Horeb. It is written: Romans 7: 12, King James Version (KJV): 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Consider the following:

Jack Schwarz The 10 commandments contain very uneven writing and should have been edited 4 better clarity. It always reads a bit like the product of a committee rather than a vision of perfecting life on earth. The fact that loving one another isn't in there is a big missing piece that Isiah and others tried 2 rectify. So when some crazy starts placing them on the court house lawn, I kind of wonder whether they've thought that hard about what they contain or have missed. jj

“Jack”, for someone who has thoughtfully used the volumes of U. S. Code as a reference work in making responses to the U. S. Congress, you may now be exercising some bias in your standard for “well written” legislation. The ancient fathers were not only challenged to engage a social structure unlike that within the One-world Empire of Egypt (where they hoped to assimilate despite all the Egyptians being chattel), they also were challenged to operate having new affiliation and identity as a state, rather than a collection of tribes having no political franchise within the slave-holding household of Pharaoh.

Among mature Christian believers, the Ten Commandments are received as an aspect of a full divine revelation that features the appearance of immortal, incorruptible, and invisible GOD using flesh and human form (we say, Incarnation) to further make the character and nature of divinity knowable, known, accessible, and approachable. The covenant law is not to be read only for its carnal, historical, material, moral, secular, and social focus; and the Ten Commandments are acknowledged as a testimony to the authority, dominion, righteousness, and sovereignty of divinity who stand together as Creator, Deliverer, Redeemer, Savior, and the provider of Eternal Life.

Immutable and unchanging law is to govern and influence consciousness and self-will within created beings and living creatures. The operations of sin dominate and paralyze awareness and willpower within the living. To illuminate the process and substance of existence and life are the end of the law, rather than merely the resolution of mundane and pedestrian quarrels among men on the earth continued by “he-said, she-said, and who-struck-John.” In addition to admonition, ordinances, regulations, requirements, rules, and warnings the law presents exalted personhood, principle, and wisdom. Sacred law makes apparent the divine presence through accuracy when presenting facts in tribunals of truth-finding; attention to detail (completeness; thoroughness); balance; impartiality; conclusive findings; and the authoritative ordering of punishment as well as by establishing records of offenses, determinations, and settlements that also will have the force of law. More than this, divine law conveys and imparts forgiveness, mercy and reconciliation. Consider again the following on divine law that uses language from the Bible, and the presentation from the music ministry of the King’s College Choir:

(1.) James 4: 11-13, King James Version (KJV): 11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

(2.) Hosea 6: 4-7, KJV: 4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. 5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

(3.) Isaiah 5: 13-16, KJV: 13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: 16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

(4.) Romans 10: 4, KJV: 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Today, reply is on violating the commandments from GOD that require there be love. Animals to populate the earth were called forth in pairs; and the human male was provided with a mate fashioned from his own body. Even so, the substance and process of divine love is seen to be spirit in its character, form, and makeup. Lasting relationships appear built on commitment, gratitude, respect, and reverence. Arrogance, deceit, defiance, distrust, fear, rebellion, and stubbornness that break off relationships derive from the flesh, and are not demonstrations and expressions of the righteousness that is love. It is written: 1^st John 4: 6-12, King James Version (KJV): 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. “Achilles”, mankind was created to serve as a life companion to immortal, incorruptible divinity. A divine rule that existence, life, and relationship are continued through the presence and operations of love can be discerned as appearing “from the beginning” through the accounts of Creation. Life essence (breath, spirit, word) was imparted from the makeup of GOD to both the male and female pair; and the two were to dwell together on the earth as vessels of inseparable spirit substance. Included were faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Those who seek a healthy relationship where both themselves and divinity can display and express love must understand that more than affection, desire, feelings, romance, or sexual behavior are involved. Accountability, duty, and sacred practices must appear along with acknowledgments of divine law, forgiveness, humility, regular attention to life principals, unselfish service, and willingness to endure chastisement and suffering. Rather than a reward for perfect obedience, divine love is a response to contrition, repentance, and sorrowing for sin with a willingness to be transformed and exist as the new creation of Jesus Christ. Today, reply is on practicing intercessory prayer as a necessary ministry among all Christians. As with praise, prayer is not a work completed apart from Christ, and without the Holy Spirit. Within the church founded by Jesus Christ, sharing praise and unselfish prayer are among the highest forms of service. While still on the earth, before his crucifixion, the Son of the Highest prayed that his followers would be made one with himself and with the Father. Believers are to take on a consciousness that goes beyond expressing individuality, self-promotion, or their own desires, emotions, lusts, and needs. There must be shared accord and action to accomplish the objectives of divine law, eternal purpose, mercy in judgment, and the sovereign will of GOD. “Anonymous”, within the church of Jesus Christ, prayer is not supposed to be a work carried out only by the clergy. In the same way many Christians have grown up being familiar with and reciting the Lord’s prayer, yet, not also studying the Bible or regularly performing other sacred practices, many Christians are familiar with the prayers of the Rosary that include language requesting the Mother of Jesus will provide ministry through intercessory prayer. Many object that Mary can not serve as a mediator between GOD and mankind; however, as one of the saints who first received the gifts of the Holy Spirit within the upper room, Mary can serve as a mediator with her son. The ability to properly approach divinity with compassion, sincerity, and unselfishness on behalf of others only becomes possible in the life of sinners through endowments of life essence (breath; spirit; word) imparted from the makeup and substance of GOD, and through operations of the Holy Spirit. The power in prayer does not appear by importuning and humbly repeating ones requests so much as by ones return of spirit content from GOD (e.g., commitment, longsuffering, lovingkindness, personhood, wisdom, wrath against sin). In the same way an anointed pastor (shepherd) or ordained priest is a caretaker who must continually provide guidance, instruction and preaching that nourishes and strengthens the full congregation, all the members are to acknowledge an accountability for offering prayer, and a duty to pray for one another. Even those having limited resources and talents, and those who are recently become part within the community of faith, can make their voices heard in group and private prayer that petition for comfort, edification, and zeal (i.e., outpouring of the Holy Spirit; prophecy). Today, reply is to a fighter who compares forms of government and spiritual leadership on the earth. Properly understood, apostles, bishops, deacons, and pastors (shepherds) preside as officers over faith communities and congregations. The present plan of divinity is that mankind exist as a kingdom where all will communicate and operate as offspring of GOD. Saints and those joined to GOD share a fresh endowment of spirit content imparted from the makeup of divinity (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth). Even many developing Christian believers err when comparing priests—who are officially anointed and ordained to offer sacrifices on a holy table (altar) where heaven and earth are joined—against prophets—who are appointed as spokespersons sent by GOD. Where GOD once provided patriarchs, elders, and judges (deliverers), operations of the flesh and of sin resulted in the establishment of temporal authorities that included chiefs, emperors, governors, monarchs, pharaohs, and Caesars. Through Jesus Christ, mankind has received commandments, examples, and principles for conduct and relationship that serve as civil and sacred law from GOD. The church founded by Jesus is to be an eternal, sacred body; even so, many become entangled within institutions and organizations that use the name of Christ, yet, do not transform men to be Christ-like. In Christ, the dominion, ownership, and sovereignty of divine fullness has appeared and been made manifest on the earth using human form (we say, Incarnation). While the character, process and substance of GOD are entirely from spirit that is invisible and without form, divinity (we also say, the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) are to be acknowledged as presenting personhood, eternal purpose, and sovereign will. Inseparable aspects of divinity include faith, holiness, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. “Anonymous”, GOD is using multiple relationships to make divinity knowable, known, accessible, and approachable by created beings and living creatures. Monarchs and Popes rule over two forms/levels of community defined using carnal, physical, and social concepts. Divinity has used many different figures to guide and instruct those on the earth; and while there has been hierarchy, ranks, and other distinctions, competition and conflict have rarely been expressions of divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. Among mature Christian believers, the holy writings also present the revelation of mankind’s growth and development while being restored from the effects of sin, and while undergoing a transformation to exist permanently as companions to divinity, who continue to relate to those on the earth as an invisible spirit in form and substance. Multiple devices and mechanisms have been used by divinity to communicate, exchange, and interact with created beings and living creatures. Included are oral history, priesthood, seers, and living tradition through Adam and the Patriarchs, who each lived for nearly 1,000 years. Continuity and relationship with the living that are uninterrupted by death have been maintained through such devices as family, inheritance, tribes, dynasty, empires, immutable unchanging truth, and nations as well as institutions and organizations chartered and sanctioned through civil and sacred law. Also the active presence we speak of as “GOD” has been acknowledged through birth, death, forgiveness, rebirth, healing, Incarnation, preaching, proclamation, promise, prophecy, resurrection, unselfish service, and suffering. That divinity has appeared on the earth using human form does not cancel divine ownership of the heaven and earth. Jesus Christ should be acknowledged as the highest and most complete embodiment of divine authority, dominion, and power over the earth. The anointing upon Jesus has been that of Chief Architect of the Holy City (New Jerusalem); High Priest; King; Sanctified Servant; Sacred Judge; Prophet; and the Firstborn from The Dead. Through the ministries of Jesus on the earth and from the heaven, developing and mature Christians are to exist as the new creation. As offspring of the Most High and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, all are to display the image of the Father, and the same life essence (breath; spirit; word) that was imparted to Adam from the makeup of divinity. AN AFTERTHOUGHT: Offices appear within the Catholic church as an institution that did not exist within the early church appearing in Scripture. Included are abbots, cardinals, confessors, monseigneur, and Pope. Before his conversion on the road to Damascus, Saul of Tarsus (later known as the Apostle Paul) filled a role as an executioner and an inquisitor who persecuted the early church on behalf of the Temple leaders at Jerusalem. Correctly understood, the authority of the Pope as infallible is the same as the dispensation granted Moses that allowed decision-making in judgment that could be authoritative and final unless a direct intervention by GOD would be required. The monarchs who have ruled over England, Great Britain and related territories have held the secular title of king, queen, emperor, and empress. A continuing argument has been made that succession for nobility and royalty are by dispensation of GOD and “divine right.” Also, the same laws of the realm for inheritance that govern the transfer of ordinary estates, goods, and property are cited as the true covenant declaring their benefits and privileges as well. The ruling monarch is regarded by many to be the temporal head of the Church of England. In the same way the Pope is head over the Vatican as an independent nation and sovereign state, and his authority is exceeded only by Jesus Christ, many hold the ruler of England is a chief officer of the church on the earth whose authority is only exceeded by Jesus Christ. Even so, many are cautioned to grasp that a house divided against itself can not stand. Given the multiple conflicts that arise because sacred and secular truth are often in opposition, these institutions appear built on sand, rather than the solid rock.
