(12/01/2015) A GOD of Judgment

Scripture points are shared on accountability and whether mankind is being held to divine standards.  Various principles for judgment, trust, and sanctified relationship are in place between divinity and mankind through the ministry of Jesus Christ.  The bonds that continually connect the created and the Creator include duty, exclusive devotion, expectation (hope), fidelity, respect, imparted spirit, and sacrifice.  As aspects of the full Divine Person who is eternal and immutable, judgment and wrath against sin also must be revealed, and may not be manipulated; however, the basis and focus of judgment can be altered and transformed.  In Christ, it is secondary that men are accountable for sins; believers are accountable instead for such aspects of new life as acknowledgment, divine gifts, gratitude, praise, reverence, producing spiritual fruit, serving divinity, and worship.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Jay” (Level 1 with 90 points, a member since March 30, 2014) posted the following:

Why do some Christians say god holds us accountable for our actions, yet other Christians say god does "NOT" hold us accountable?

So, we have Christians here insisting god does 2 "opposite" things. This proves that Christians make it up as they go along and have NO IDEA of what their god thing is or isn't.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:   And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.  Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.  But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;  The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.  And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.  But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:  and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.  (Luke 12:  47-48, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Accountability and Challenge, Not Blame (09/03/2015); Judgment Begins at Believers? (08/16/2015); Why Believe? (11/12/2014); Light Is Come Into the World (11/13/2014); What Salvation Is (01/25/2014); Bible Justice? (01/25/2014); Resisting Sin (12/21/2013); When People Covet (12/22/2013)

“Jay”, there are numberless things that explain the differences between and among Christian believers (for example, age, birth order, culture, ethnicity, geographical origin).  Even so, regarding the sacred operations for redemption, salvation, and the maintenance of divine Creation, there is only one faith, one baptism, one GOD and Father of all.  The divinity we serve as Christian believers is what some call a “god of judgment.”  Divinity continues to display and reveal eternal purposes, and impart sacred substance through divine law, judgment, prophecy, and truth. Consider again the following points from the Bible:

(1.)   Exodus 20:  1-7, King James Version (KJV):  1 And God spake all these words, saying,  2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.  3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.  5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:  for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.  7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

(2.)  Ezekiel 18:  19-21, KJV:  19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.  20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son:  the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.  21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

(3.)  Ephesians 4:  4-6, KJV:  4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

(4.)  2nd Timothy 4: 1-3, KJV:  1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;  2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.  3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  2nd Timothy 1:  7-10, KJV:  7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner:  but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;  9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,  10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: )  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Many are called, but few will show themselves to be the elect.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/30/2015) Time Is Not A Deity

Today, Scripture points are shared on idols and objects of devotion among mankind that are not living.  Many are caught in systems of idolatry that exaggerate their acknowledgment of other persons, the achievements and contributions of others, and even their own possibilities for growth and prosperity.  They embrace new, non-traditional, and untested concepts that deny the nature and actual substance of divinity by the inclusion of subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden and unseen shifts in meaning or value).  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Tim M” (Level 7 with 104,236 points, a member since July 23, 2010) posted the following:

So If Time is the great giver and taker of all things, would Time not be considered God ?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king:  at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.  Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.  He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.  When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.  Every man is brutish in his knowledge:  every founder is confounded by the graven image:  for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.  They are vanity, and the work of errors:  in the time of their visitation they shall perish.  The portion of Jacob is not like them:  for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance:  The LORD of hosts is his name.  (Jeremiah 10:  10-16, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  No Other gods? (08/14/2015); The Meaning not the Object (05/26/2015); Not Images Used in Worship? (09/14/2014); Death is a Divine Tool (09/15/2014); A House of gods? (08/31/2012); Heaven For Muhammad? (09/01/2012)

“Tim M”, among Christian believers, time should not be spoken of as having the attributes and qualities of divinity such as character, consciousness, person, presence, and will.  Time is a framework provided by GOD for created beings and living creatures as a system for organizing and processing mechanical and natural events as well as sacred occurrences and revelation (i.e., effects that make the active presence and eternal purposes of GOD known, recognizable, and visible).  Where the living promote, or respond to time and other aspects of Creation that are not alive as though they were living entities (e.g., birth, death, government, intellect, romantic love, skill, wealth), and as though they have authority, power or existence independent from the Creator, such features have been exalted as idols (we say, false gods).  While idols are usually material objects used as representations, or vessels said to contain a god, idols also appear in the form of abstractions, things coveted, and objects men may lust after (e.g., freedom, heroes, leaders, weapons, an Islamic state).  For Christians, the earth has been created by GOD as a sphere of life, while the world is a man-made system to establish exchange, interaction, and survival among those living upon the earth.  Features of the world include currency, family, history, language, philosophy and science.  Consider the following points from the holy writings:

(1.)  Job 31:  26-28, King James Version (KJV):  26 If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;  27 And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:  28 This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge:  for I should have denied the God that is above.

(2.)  Psalms 115:  1-8, KJV:  1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.  2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?  3 But our God is in the heavens:  he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.  4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.  5 They have mouths, but they speak not:  eyes have they, but they see not:  6 They have ears, but they hear not:  noses have they, but they smell not:  7 They have hands, but they handle not:  feet have they, but they walk not:  neither speak they through their throat.  8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

(3.)  Isaiah 44:  14-17, KJV:  14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest:  he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.  15 Then shall it be for a man to burn:  for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.  16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:  17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image:  he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

There are many other verses that should be carefully considered, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Isaiah 44:  8-11, KJV:  8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid:  have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.  9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.  10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?  11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed:  and the workmen, they are of men:  let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/29/2015) Punishment To Show Love?

Divine correction, love, and punishment are topics, today.  For many Christian believers, correct sacred knowledge regarding divine judgment has been provided in the home through their experience as children.  There must be discipline (i.e., training) of both awareness and self-will that will establish conscience, because the operations of sin repeatedly are directed against and through the gateways of awareness and self-will.  When parenting, benefits to ones child include admonition, chastisement, scolding, and spanking as aspects of vital instruction.  To quickly and permanently clarify the danger, destruction, and pain that result to themselves and others from disobedience, disrespect, and defiance of authority by the child, affection, logic and reason are applied in balance with corporal, physical and visceral experiences.  The child is to be held accountable for consequences and effects from their own attitudes, behavior and conduct; and should be helped to understand that their parents and others are not to feel the hurt that properly is their own and no one else’s.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the comments appearing below:  Job 5:  17-18, King James Version (KJV):  17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth:  therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:  18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up:  he woundeth, and his hands make whole.  Also,  1st Corinthians 11:  31-32, KJV:  31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.  32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.  Proverbs 9:  7-9, KJV:  7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame:  and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.  8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee:  rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.  9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser:  teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.  Revelation 3:  18-20, KJV:  18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:  be zealous therefore, and repent.  20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Silver” (Level 1 with 63 points, a member since October 20, 2015) posted the following:

What if God didn't punish us for our sins?

I am Christian. I always read in the bible that God punishes those He loves whenever they sin. I realize that it right that God does it because it disciplines them but what happen if you sin and God didn't punish us does that mean He doesn't Love us anymore?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you:  on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.  Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:  and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?  Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.  (1st Peter 4:  12-19, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why Punish Innocence? :  (05/22/2015); The Death Penalty for Sins? (11/30/2014); A Dispensation To Benefit (12/01/2014); Expulsion from Eden (05/05/2014); Blasphemy Against the GODhead (05/06/2014); Beyond Punishment (03/21/2014); A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014)

“Silver”, GOD is a spirit who has put forth all that exists; assigns value to all (we say, judges; resolves conflict through application of sacred law); and who maintains the universe through routine operations that are diverse, interactive, and mechanical as well as through sacred processes that are intimate, organic and personal.  Understanding all the facets and manifestations of divine love therefore requires that a believer apply all the inseparable aspects of the imparted, indwelling Spirit they contain following water  baptism (i.e., death of ones inborn spirit; burial; rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak).  Those who are “born again” are called the children of GOD, for they receive features from the character and nature of divinity such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  For such believers, GOD is held to be the Father in a peculiar relationship where the active presence of Deity is continuous.  The born-again believer must “grow up again” (we say, mature, “become perfected”) by meeting specific life challenges for those living upon the earth.  Through Jesus Christ, Son of the Highest, the Son of Man, mankind undergoes permanent change to establish eternal life that includes accountability, acknowledgment (we say, worship), commitment, correction, duty, and exclusive devotion to GOD.  Here are a few points from the holy writings that speak to the place of punishment in the new life:

(1.)   Proverbs 23:  12-14, King James Version (KJV):  12 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.  13 Withhold not correction from the child:  for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.  14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

(2.)  Isaiah 13:  10-12, KJV:  10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light:  the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.  11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.  12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

(3.)  Isaiah 48:  8-12, KJV:  8 Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened:  for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.  9 For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.  10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.  11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it:  for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.  12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

There are many other verses that should be carefully considered, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Hebrews 12:  4-8, KJV:  4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.  5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.  7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/27/2015) Cain and Genealogy?

Points are shared, today, on inheritance, spiritual adoption, and the absence of Cain from genealogies of the Bible.  Nji Franclin Azong who participates with me in THE BIBLE STUDY GROUP (a Public Group on Facebook presently having 21,347 members), invited discussion by sharing a presentation that included the following on September 30, 2015:

BRETHREN PLEASE I WIAH TO KNOW WHY CAIN, THE FIRST HUMAN TO BE BORN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE GENERATION OF ADAM AND EVE. PLEASE I NEED SOME CLARIFICATION

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;  That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.  (Titus 3:  3-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Blessing and Inheritance from Abraham? (06/05/2014); On Christians Executing Judgment (06/06/2014); A Curse Removed (12/26/2013); Intercession (12/27/2013); The Bible and Genealogy (09/10/2013); Why GOD Does Not Tell All (09/11/2013)

Nji Franclin Azong, as I understand it, the different genealogies that appear in the Bible do not name all the members of any family, and center upon naming those in the line of heirs having sacred inheritance (we say, anointing, covenant, priesthood).  The Bible provides a divine perspective by showing thousands of events using thousands of lives over the course of thousands of years.  The proclamations and promises of GOD are continued through intimate, structured, uninterrupted relationship (e.g., the Patriarchs, Noah who found grace, Abraham the Friend of GOD) as are the outworking of prophecy.   The entire Bible may be regarded as a record of divine deeds to reveal and make divinity known to created beings and living creatures.  Divine operations must go forth whereby the living apprehend Deity through the sacred matter they contain that was imparted at Creation, or received as a fresh endowment through baptism/rebirth.  Included are aspects from the character and nature of Divine Person such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  In the same way Jacob adopted the sons of Joseph and established a new basis for reckoning inheritance, adoption through the Holy Spirit is now available by the ministries of Jesus Christ, and the offspring of GOD are no longer identified by birth order, blood lines, records for ownership of property, or the tracing of carnal and material kinship.  Here are a few points from the Scriptures that have been helpful when viewing the genealogies:

(1.)  1st Chronicles 5:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel:  and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.  2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)  3 The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

(2.)  John 1:  11-13, KJV:  11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

(3.)  Romans 8:  13-15, KJV:  13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:  but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

There are many other verses that should be carefully considered, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  1st John 3:  1-3, KJV:  1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:  therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.  2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:  but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.  3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/26/2015) The Main Problem?

Happy Thanksgiving Day!  Points are shared, today, on final judgment, Satan, and Sin.  Adam (the first human pair) was told the consequences and result of their sin would be death before their first transgression actually was committed.  Sin was not introduced using the language of codes, ordinances and statutes.  Even so, sin was described clearly in terms of accountability, altering exclusive focus, disobedience, divine displeasure, prohibition, and the violation of trust.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the comments appearing below:  Revelation 4:  11, King James Version (KJV):  11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:  for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.  Also, Revelation 12:  10-13, KJV:  10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ:  for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.  12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.  13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.  Matthew 25:  40-42, KJV:  40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:  42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat:  I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:  A fighter using the ID “Skunky” at “Yahoo! Answers (New Zealand)” (Level 6 with 14,217 points, a member since August 25, 2014) posted the following:

Does it make sense that God would drown the whole world in a flood cuz of their wickedness but he doesn't get rid of the main problem?

which would be Satan..

God kills million upon millions of people because of their wickedness but doesn't resolve the issue because he let the main source of the problem run around scott free.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold:  the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:  thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned:  therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God:  and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.  Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:  I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.  (Ezekiel 28:  13-17, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Accountability and Challenge, Not Blame (09/03/2015); The Need For Divine Rule? (08/27/2015); The Origin of Sin? (07/31/2015); Making Sin Appear as Sinful? (06/07/2015); The Gospel not Logical? (09/16/2012); Unwelcome Gifts? (09/17/2012)

“Skunky”, neither GOD, mankind, nor Satan have been the origin for the operations of corruption and decay within  Creation that we now call “sin”.  Sin is an effect and an influence that has direction and presence; yet, we can not say sin is alive, or is a single thing that can be denied existence without upheaval of the universe.  The death of Christ upon the cross permits atonement for sin, and the imparted Spirit through rebirth permits resistance to sin, however, sin remains and is not totally eliminated.  Here are a number of points to consider that may not be familiar to you, yet, have been helpful to many mature Christian believers:

(1.)  Instruction from the Bible is relied upon by the followers of Jesus Christ that identifies Lucifer, later called Satan, as a created being who initially served as a divine agent (we say, administrator, prince, ruler, or spokesperson), and had place within the hierarchy of heaven.  The angels, “sacred beasts” and other living entities of heaven all are temporal, and endure at the discretion of divinity.  Only the GODhead is eternal and immortal; and the existence of angels continues on the basis of divine prerogative.

(2.)  Once he became recognized as one questioning the soundness of sacred law on the basis of covetousness, envy, presumption, pride and self-promotion, Lucifer was given the name “Satan”  that means “Adversary”; while the word “devil” means “one who speaks slander.”  It is believed that Satan was first to declare that divine law was not needed among those who are holy; that law is an insult to intelligence; and that divine law destroys freedom (free will).

(3.)  The name Satan is associated with sin; however, sin is no created thing, material object, or spirit substance from divinity.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and of all divine order seen as the Creation.  Even so, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Without the law, sin is invisible, and can not be seen as contrary to existence and life.

(4.)  All being proceeds as a continuous emanation of divine substance.  Thus, the active presence of GOD is known only by “revelation”—GOD appearing and divine actions that allow the living to perceive and realize exchanges and interactions among the inseparable aspects of spirit matter that are the makeup of Deity (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, wisdom, wrath against sin).

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Just as the loving character and nature of GOD can not be known and understood without sacred knowledge describing Creation and Salvation, Judgment also must come into view for the living to comprehend awe, divine mercy, righteousness, and sovereignty.  While Satan is called “the accuser of the brethren;” accuses divinity of being arbitrary, cruel, despotic, and unfair; continually challenges mankind for dominion over the earth; and is being used as an instrument for divine revelation, Satan does not compare to Jesus, the Son of the Highest:  Satan does not intercede for mankind, and is displayed as no advocate who embraces and understands the human predicament, or provides any comfort, benefits, and blessing to the living.  Final judgment of the wicked will occur after Satan has been cast into the Lake of Fire; and there will be no accuser.  All must answer the record of their own deeds as they appear recorded within the Book of Life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/25/2015) Called To Be Servants?

Today, Scripture points are shared on the character and nature of servitude as disciples of Christ.  Balance, circumspection and modesty are to be shown by the “born again” believer.  Those having new life will resist pursuing worldly ambitions, covetousness, and self-promotion just as they will avoid boasting, showing off, and vainglory.  All Christian believers are to discipline themselves and maintain self-government while answering the sovereign reign of GOD over all.  As servants and stewards within the household of GOD, Christians are by no means to feel disgraced, or made a fool of when addressing the needs of others, for they truly are divine agents and representatives of Jesus Christ.  Even when employed in secular jobs and worldly occupations, believers are to excel at what they do as their acknowledgment and expression of gratitude for life from GOD as well as their own gift and offering in thanksgiving to the Lord.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the comments appearing below:  Psalms 100:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.  2 Serve the LORD with gladness:  come before his presence with singing.  3 Know ye that the LORD he is God:  it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Also, Colossians 3:  16-17, KJV:  16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.  1st Corinthians 7:  21-23, KJV:  21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it:  but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.  22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman:  likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.  23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers (Canada)” using the ID “nathan b” (Level 2 with 306 points, a member since February 26, 2009) posted the following:

Is it bad for me to be a servant?

Im just wondering I know I am not a leader and in fact i dont like being 1. I genuinely enjoy serving other people. Not in a religious sense no but in a practical sense. If someone ask me to do something i genuinely enjoy doing said thing for them

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But the end of all things is at hand:  be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.  And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:  for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.  Use hospitality one to another without grudging.  As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.  If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:  that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  (1st Peter 4:  7-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Ordinance of Humility? (08/12/2015); When Asked to Serve? (01/21/2015); It Comes With the Job? (01/11/2015); Asked to Carry the Cross? (07/25/2014); Good Intentions? (07/26/2014); Religious Bosses? (07/08/2014); Unprofitable Servants? (01/19/2014)

“nathan b”, while Christian believers are called to receive place as joint-heirs, kings, and priests of a divine kingdom with the Lord, all are to continually display the dutifulness, humility, trustworthiness, and zeal that characterize loyal servants.  Just as expressed and preserved through the traditional marriage vow, to obey is one of the highest expressions of love, for in obedience one puts aside their own desires and will to perform the will of another, and to ensure their satisfaction and well-being.  Called and recruited to serve is to be understood as being granted intimate access to those who are anointed and sanctified (we say, holy).  The servant is acknowledged and elevated by the privilege to freely express allegiance and devotion as well as by multiple opportunities to gain merit and earn reward.  The principles believers and disciples are guided by include commitment, dependence, exclusive focus, honesty, perseverance, reliability, respect, self-esteem, and unselfishness.  Consider again the following points from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 65:  13-16, King James Version (KJV):  13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry:  behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty:  behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:  14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.  15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen:  for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:  16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

(2.)  Matthew 20:  25-28, KJV:  25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.  26 But it shall not be so among you:  but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;  27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:  28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

(3.)  Matthew 23:  8-12, KJV:  8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.  9 And call no man your father upon the earth:  for one is your Father, which is in heaven.  10 Neither be ye called masters:  for one is your Master, even Christ.  11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.  12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Isaiah 56:  4-7, KJV:  4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;  5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters:  I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.  6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;  7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer:  their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/24/2015) Presumption, Pride and Sin?

Today, reply is made to a familiar challenge that a person approve/disapprove of how GOD has responded to Adam, Satan, and sin.  The true people of GOD are to deal with divine law, operations of divinity, and sacred principles, rather than cultural fabrications, individual desires, personal opinions, and worldly traditions.  Their heart (i.e., breath, life essence, spirit) must engage the sacred heart of GOD.  By insisting that academic presentations and secular reasoning have the same or greater value than the holy writings, many continue in darkness, error, and spiritual confusion.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the comments appearing below:  Isaiah 29:  16, King James Version (KJV):  16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay:  for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?  Also,  Matthew 15:  7-9, KJV:  7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,  8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.  9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.  Ezekiel 33:  31-33, KJV:  31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them:  for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.  32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument:  for they hear thy words, but they do them not.  33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “drummer man” (Level 1 with no points shown, a member since July 16, 2007) posted the following:

Does god's way of dealing with the rebellion and sin of Satan, Adam and Eve bother you? and how would you deal with them if you were god?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,  Gird up thy loins now like a man:  I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.  Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?  Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?  Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.  Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath:  and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.  Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.  Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.  Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.  (Job 40: 6-14, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Justified for Attacking The Bible? (06/28/2015); Correct in Only Your Mind? (05/04/2015); The Testing of Job? (10/06/2014); Knowing the Spirit is Inside? (10/07/2014); Satan Should Stand Trial? (02/16/2014); The Right Place to Get Knowledge? (02/17/2014); Confusion 2013 (01/13/2013); Why A “Spokesperson”? (01/14/2013)

“drummer man”, for mature Christian believers your question draws (we say, entices, seduces, tempts) others into thinking of themselves in a way that insults divinity.  The operations of presumption, pride and sin oppose the continued existence of divine law, of the divine Law Giver, and of the universe maintained through sacred law.  While sin is no thing created by GOD and contains no sacred matter (as does the living), sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  The thought “if I were god” is forbidden in the sense that ones awareness and self-will are not to be turned away from acknowledging, reverencing, and serving GOD toward any exercise of authority, independence, and privilege that has not been granted by the Father through the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Even so, it is correct for believers to carefully examine the many facets of the accounts that come to us as sacred knowledge.

Correctly understood, the record of Creation, the fall of Adam, and the full range of holy writings must be seen as features within a closed system for consciousness of GOD that derive from operations of spirit, rather than operations of intellect, logic, philosophy, or science.  The holy writings provide a divine point of view, so to speak, showing the operations of divinity using thousands of events and thousands of lives over the course of thousands of years.  In the same way none may know and understand divinity as revealed through Jesus Christ without operations by GOD through spirit, none may assign value, criticize, or evaluate the process of Deity (we say, judge GOD), even when they have spirit and sacred truth.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  Human error characterizes our judgment; thus, many important points are overlooked as we consider the human predicament.  For example, (1) the single name “Adam” was used by the GODhead for both the male and female who existed as a single person; (2) there are multiple operations of GOD to reveal the character and nature of divinity to the living, and to proclaim divine sovereignty; (3) Adam and all living upon the earth are used as figures to correct and guide those of heaven; (4) divine law, judgment, and the figure of Satan are used to correct and guide the living both upon the earth and in heaven; and (5) as with the elimination of chaos and flux that appeared before heaven and earth were established, the elimination of sin requires permanent change that pertains to the entire universe, not merely to angels and mankind.

Given that many points in our routine conversations and exchanges are taken to be facts and proven truth that, in actuality, are assumptions relied upon in order to advance various considerations, correct acceptance of the holy writings demand balance, completeness, consistency, focus, maturity, and stability that only come by operation of the same Spirit that was at work in Creation.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/23/2015) Resurrection Cancels Sacrifice?

Today, reply is made to the mistaken notion that the value of the Lord’s death upon the cross is made less by his resurrection.  The divine use of elements familiar among mankind such as blood, death, and sacrifice must be understood within a framework of non-negotiable law, love, sacred process, and eternal purpose.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the response appearing below:  1st Corinthians 1:  17-19, King James Version (KJV):  17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel:  not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  Also, Galatians 2:  19-21, KJV:  19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.  20 I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  21 I do not frustrate the grace of God:  for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.  Hebrews 12:  1-4, KJV:  1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (Malaysia)” using the ID “TheistSlayer” (Level 4 with 3,500 points, a member since August 20, 2015) posted the following:

If Jesus came back to life, doesn't that make the "He died for your sins" thing kind of worthless?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Ephesians 2:  11-22, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Power Against Sin? (04/12/2015); Gall Refused on the Cross? (03/20/2015); The Agony of Death? (03/21/2015); The Sin Covered By Salvation? (12/28/2014); Mortality Is Required Because of Sin (12/29/2014); The Power of Death? (10/01/2013); Divine Love Revealed? (10/02/2013)

“TheistSlayer”, for Christian believers it is a worthless notion that the resurrection of Jesus Christ may annul or cancel the gifts of GOD that are imparted Spirit, eternal life, redemption, and salvation.  Genuine understanding of divinity and its workings upon the earth through mankind require sacred knowledge that emerges only by the existence of spirit matter.  Things made up entirely of spirit can not be communicated about, perceived, or known to exist using only such finite human tools as intellect, language, logic, philosophy, and science.  Thus, disciples of Christ must receive a fresh deposit of spirit content from the makeup of Deity to correctly apprehend the cross, the ascension, and the Advent.

The conversation must become one that also attributes active presence, love, eternal purpose, and divine prerogative to divinity.  The full set of operations whereby the invisible personness of GOD is made known and seen by created beings and living creatures includes atonement, birth, death, forgiveness, incarnation, judgment, repentance, resurrection, and sanctification as well as perdition and the second death.  Believers are equipped with an imparted, indwelling spirit having the character and nature of GOD.  Inseparable aspects of divinity should appear such as faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

How and what we speak become an indication of inner change, and the operations and power of GOD influencing our consciousness and will.  Just as sin dominates created beings and living creatures through their awareness and self-will, the divine substance establishing existence also must generate our perceptions of truth, and the fixed patterns we employ to communicate, exchange, and interact.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, the problems to our understanding the deeds that have been performed on our behalf by Christ, and the further actions being taken by divinity through the Holy Spirit mostly result by our dependence upon carnal, material and social reality.  The believer must make a clean break, and be set apart for exclusive service to GOD.  Their entire internal system of interrelated desires, feelings, goals and thoughts must be replaced.  Thus, we say, there must be permanent change and transformation:  “You must be born again.”)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/22/2015) Ongoing and Unfinished?

Today, points are shared on repentance as a continuing and ongoing sacred process carried out by the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit can not be stopped.  Believers must realize a total dependence upon divinity for their new life and salvation.  All are gradually guided, led and rooted in (i.e., carried through what scientist call successive approximations) events expressing the divine character and nature, and that consistently display correct acknowledgment, praise and service to Deity.  Given that sin attacks, dominates and influences the living through their own awareness and self-will, the divine operations in salvation establish consciousness and focus that indicate permanent change, and reinforce the divine will that must be present within created beings.  Despite the damage and destruction by the operations of sin against all living (angels, animals, mankind, plants), the Holy Spirit will fulfill all divine utterance (we say, breath, proclamation, promise, prophecy, word), and complete his work to maintain the Creation.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the presentation below:  Ephesians 5:  6-10, King James Version (KJV):  6 Let no man deceive you with vain words:  for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.  7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.  8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:  walk as children of light:  9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  Also, John 1: 12-13 KJV:  12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  Hebrews 10: 35-37, KJV:  35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.  37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Gabrielgoh” (Level 1 with 111 points, a member since April 19, 2013) posted the following:

How to truly repent of my sin ?

How to truly truly repent of my sin ?  I don t wish to go to hell.  I know that it is difficult to forgive others completely to those who hurt me.   I know I also commit some kinds of other sin that I know but harder for me to let go.  Because I know I have a pride, self will and stubbornness.  It is difficult for me to humble myself under the mighty hand of God.  What prayer must I do in order to get to heaven ?  I don t even have an opportunity to have a friend and at the same time talk to a girl.  I also wish I have desire Christian girl to be my girl friend who I like.  Face must be nice and personality are also very important.  She can able to relate to me.  We can enjoy together going for the adventure.  Thank you :)  Hope you understand.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:  for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:  but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:  but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded:  and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.  (Philippians 3:  7-15, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Repentance, Sin and Willpower (09/08/2015); There Must Be Permanent Change (07/12/2015); Becoming Ripe for Harvest? (07/03/2015); Holy Wars? (11/06/2014); Genuine Repentance? (03/24/2014); When Is A Law The LAW? (03/25/2014)

“Gabrielgoh”, here are a few points I can share that may help you focus upon repentance as a work accomplished by GOD:

(1.)  A Christian is a “new creature” called into being by divinity, who has appeared using flesh and the physical person of Jesus Christ (we say, by incarnation).  In water baptism there is death and burial of ones inborn spirit, and rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak.

(2.)  In rebirth, the “born again” believer receives inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin), and so may be spoken of as a child or offspring of GOD.  As a child, the believer must “grow up again,” and become mature (we also say, ripe for harvest) by continuing to meet the same life challenges as all others upon the earth.

(3.)  Believers are accounted as being in a new standing with GOD.  The sacrifice of Christ upon the cross has not eliminated and erased all death, error, and sin, yet, has provided for atonement and propitiation for sin.  Similarly, baptism does not automatically remove all earthly desire, ignorance of sacred knowledge, and lust for things carnal, material and social.  Yet, meaningful change and growth are provided that are necessary as preparation for the transformation at the Advent (Second Coming of Christ).

(4.)  Repentance is more than a matter of performing acts of contrition, making public apology, or declaring heartfelt remorse.  Correctly understood, repentance is an appearing or manifesting of the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  Repentance is known and made visible through permanent change in attitudes and behavior that repeatedly occur in ones lifestyle and regular routine, and is not a “one-time” event.

(5.)  Sin has not been created or put forth from any inner aspect of divinity (e.g., heart, imagination, mind, thoughts); and has neither divine substance nor material and tangible form that we might toss it about like a ball.  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Sin has never existed as do living entities, and is more related to chaos and lack of divine order.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the universe that conforms to sacred law.

There is far more that must be said to fully shift your awareness regarding that that is holy (i.e. having the active presence, and eternal purposes of divinity).  For example, (6.)  The believer must trust that they truly are in a bond with the Father through Christ the Son, and that the Holy Spirit will actually accomplish all things divine for their benefit.  Believers display acceptable works, and live “lives of repentance” by applying and responding to sacred knowledge, divine law, and shared standards within a community of faith.  All must increasingly respond to the guidance and promptings from the imparted, indwelling Spirit that has been deposited from Christ and the Father.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and willingness to be made spiritually mature.

(11/20/2015) On Wearing Sports Jerseys?

Adornment, amusements, and social activities conducted within the church are topics, today.  Believers are to be in the world, yet, not of it.  The clothing believers wear can neither ensure their salvation, nor of itself seal them in condemnation.  Many believers are committed to a process for increasing the church that relies upon connecting to others upon their own carnal, material, and social level.  Even so, judgment remains the exclusive province of Christ partly because there must be a weighing of things that are subtle (i.e., barely visible; having hidden shifts in meaning and value), and that have no physical substance such as comprehension, divine prerogative, and eternal purpose.  Those within communities of faith also may derive benefit from amusements such as family entertainment, ice cream socials, singles activity, and Super Bowl parties.  However, just as accountability and intimacy within the home generate a different standard for shared activities to entertain and refresh the family, recreation within the body of believers that appears in the public forum should always continue circumspection and restraint.  To avoid misrepresentation of the spiritual body, leisure behavior should only be shared in private settings, and not events open to the public.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the comments appearing below:  John 7:  24, King James Version (KJV):  24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.  Also, 2nd Corinthians 13:  5, KJV:  5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.  Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?  2nd Corinthians 4:  15-17, KJV:  15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.  16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! 7 Answers” (Australia) using the ID “Anonymous” (profile information withheld) posted the following:

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.  And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;  To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.  To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak:  I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.  And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.  Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.  And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.  I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:  But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:  lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.  (1st Corinthians 9:  19-27, KJV)

“Anonymous”, in the effort to create an atmosphere of mutual acceptance, suspension of being judged by others, and unconditional love, many congregations of Christian believers now appear to operate without the strict dress codes and standards that once distinguished church goers and Christian believers as “sanctified” (i.e., set apart for the exclusive use of divinity).  For those in relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ, it is important to address such doctrines and themes as release from the strictures of Old Testament law; new life by apprehension of divine spirit content; new covenant grounded in righteousness through faith as well as discerning sameness and difference for the spirit of divine law and its letter.  Even so, there is never to be a total abandonment of discipline, regulation, and shared truth that establishes stability.

Correctly understood, sanctification proceeds only by operations of GOD, and is not the product of indoctrination, intellect, logic, and reason.  Believers experience excitement joy, and zeal as they acquire sacred knowledge and gain mastery through sacred practice (we say, observing sacraments).  However, these are aspects of the character, nature and spirit that make up divinity; and are not the same as emotion, excitement, fanaticism, and passion that characterize carnal and finite being.

Correctly received, assembling and church attendance are gifts and sacred events from GOD wherein believers are granted access to the divine presence, and opportunity to be in shared communion and direct exchange with Deity.  Mature believers “put their best foot forward” and wear their “Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes” as acknowledgment, and an outward demonstration of inner order, propriety and respect toward GOD.  What they wear is not intended for boasting, showing off, and vainglory.  Their attitude, mind-set and motives are directed to knowing and pleasing GOD.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, believers have to be careful to avoid the trap that baits them into judging others.  Because all believers must gradually develop and grow, everyone who participates in a gathering at the church does not come being on the same level of commitment, devotion, maturity, and understanding.  All appear because they are confessing their need for change, correction and growth.  The welcome is equally to those seeking peace and rest as it is for those seeking their place as disciples, laborers and workers for the kingdom.  What appears as casual dress and clothing more suited to play often has been chosen for its value as a lubricant to contact (i.e., familiarity, recognition, remembering), being in proper uniform for hard work, and a lever to interaction that will nourish the body.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(11/19/2015) The Correct Prescription?

Today, focus is upon the evidence that GOD exists:  baptism, faith, rebirth, trust, and new life.  Many are not healed in their understanding of the things from GOD in Christ because they have not responded to the correct prescription and “medication” provided to them by divinity.  Those who accept the claims of mathematics and science that propose the existence of unseen things (e.g., a point, a line, an atom), do so accepting fixed boundaries, limits and rules for application and understanding.  Meaning and value are assigned and determined within a closed system.  The experience of those who are drawn to GOD through Jesus Christ must be observed and responded to in the same way.  Certainty and conviction as consciousness of divine existence are established only as ongoing aspects of awareness that come by revelation and continuing operations of Deity.  (Similarly, disobedience to sacred law and transgression come by operations of sin upon awareness and self-will within the living.)  Only perceptions and substance generated within the revealed system of sacred knowledge and process can be evidence for the truth of GOD.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the discussion appearing below:  Hebrews 11:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.  3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.  Also, 2nd Corinthians 4:  17-18, KJV:  17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;  18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:  for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.  Luke 10:  23-24, KJV:  23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:  24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.  Romans 5:  1-2, KJV:  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Exactly what kind of evidence would convince unbelievers that God exists?

I think I've asked this question before, but it's time to ask it again....

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.  (Romans 1:  16-23, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Beyond Anything We Imagine? (11/13/2015); The Choice of Knowledge? (10/28/2015); The Evidence GOD Exists? (09/29/2015); Experience Is Not Evidence? (05/05/2013); Church Mandatory? (05/06/2013); Evidence of the Unseen Spirit? (04/09/2013); A Guide to Salvation? (04/10/2013)

“outonalimb”, how and that we exist is the proof of existence; and there is no “evidence” that can persuade or manipulate the thinking of others enough to make them mature followers of Jesus Christ.  Correctly understood, commitment to Christ is not the result of argument, debate, indoctrination, intellect, logic, philosophy, politics, secular history, or science.  Ones standing as being in right relationship with divinity only comes through divine operations that reformulate a person’s spirit content.  There must be baptism (i.e., death and burial of ones inborn spirit with rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak).

In the same way, we must have the correct prescription before we go to a pharmacy for medication, we must follow the necessary procedures to arrive at godliness and spiritual maturity.  All Christian believers begin in ignorance and holding to multiple errors that must be corrected, yet, only those who actually submit themselves to be permanently changed by GOD become grounded in the sacred knowledge, lifestyle, and practices that demonstrate the condition of having eternal life.  Believers become immersed within a gospel, sacred processes, and divine purposes intended for those who believe and follow the Lord; and, rightly understood, there is nothing for the unbeliever.

The evidence for spiritual things itself must be spiritual.  GOD is a spirit with whom created beings and living creatures communicate, exchange and interact as they apply and contain divine spirit substance within their own makeup.  Those who choose to follow Christ receive a fresh deposit of spirit matter from the makeup of divinity.  Included are inseparable aspects of the Savior’s character such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Those who are “born again” must “grow up again” meeting the same carnal, material, and social life challenges (we say, growing pains) as all others upon the earth.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, Moses was on his way home from work when he saw something that aroused his curiosity.  There was a bush that was burning without giving off smoke, or turning into ashes.  Moses had some ideas about the GOD of his fathers; however, Moses did not stop and go closer because he wanted to pray, or have a religious experience.  He was being drawn by GOD to divinity; and when he heard the voice and word from GOD, Moses first went about to acknowledge the divine presence by prostrating himself.  In effect, it is the same experience for us, today.  Conviction and trust may be ignited during a one-time event, however, new life in Christ is a divine process that continues, and is not interrupted by death.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
