(07/10/2015) Ye Are Abraham’s Seed

Scripture points are shared, today, on the status of Christian believers (Gentiles) as Hebrews and Jews.  Those who receive the New Testament covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ are heirs to all the earlier covenants, law, practices, and promises of GOD for the salvation of mankind.  Included are terms for sacred relationship provided to Adam (atonement), Abraham (circumcision), Moses (divine law), Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron (priesthood), and David (kingdom).  A writer at “Yahoo! If jesus is jewish, why isnt everyone who believes in jesus jewish?

The thing is I have always been told since im catholic that I will go to heaven and those who arent Catholic will go somewhere else. Then I realised that this is every religions perspective on other religion. But when you realise that jesus is jewish doesnt that mean everyone is wrong except the jews?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:  for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.  (Galatians 3:  26-29, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A Wandering Jew? (04/09/2015); Correctly Knowing Israel? (03/01/2015); A Common Heritage? (07/13/2014); Asleep Through the Holocaust? (07/14/2014); Gentiles and the Law? (09/19/2013); According to This Word (09/20/2013); The Children, not the Dogs (03/17/2013); Why Jesus Must Be A Jew (03/18/2013); The Benefit of Grace (03/19/2013)

“aidan”, as Christian believers, followers of Jesus are to acknowledge the holy writings as one of the most important sources for sacred knowledge.  Consider the following points:

(1.)  Colossians 2:  8-13, King James Version (KJV):  8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:  11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:  12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.  13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

(2.)  Colossians 3:  9-15, KJV:  9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free:  but Christ is all, and in all.  12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;  13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any:  even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.  15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

(3.)  John 4:  19-24, KJV:  19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.  20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.  21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.  22 Ye worship ye know not what:  we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.  23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

(4.)  Romans 3:  1-3, KJV:  3 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?  2 Much every way:  chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.  3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

(5.)  Romans 3:  29-31, KJV:  29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:  30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.  31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid:  yea, we establish the law.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (6.)  Romans 2:  28-29, KJV:  28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:  29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
