(07/24/2015) To Err is Human?

Offering confession and prayer for error and sin, and excusing without correcting human imperfection are in view, today.  Many who claim to be Christians make no genuine contribution to the work of ministry as mature believers, because they continue with a quiet conviction that sin is natural and necessary to humanity.  Without realizing it, such believers are seeking their salvation from finite tools of the world such as communication technology, history, intellect, money, philosophy, and science.  Doctrine, sacred knowledge, and spiritual practices are thought of as somehow artificial, contrived, or external (the young say, fake), and having no power to eliminate sin.  The writer at “Yahoo! Will God forgive u when u pray to him confessing your sins?

I know people will make mistakes in life. We are all human.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  (Ephesians 1:  3-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Recounting Past Sins? (03/04/2015); Saved by a Prayer? (10/31/2014); Is Prayer an Act of Faith? (11/01/2014); Forgiveness Through GOD? (02/02/2014); Obliged to Disregard? (02/03/2014); Confessing Only to GOD? (04/08/2013); Evidence of the Unseen Spirit? (04/09/2013)

“William”, for Christian believers, atonement, confession, forgiveness, prayer, and repentance come into view as the expression of grace, and special operations provided by divinity to maintain existence, and continue the revelation of Deity (i.e., making GOD correctly known and understood).  Mankind has been created with the capacity to display an animal, human, or divine nature.  Sin is a non-material, non-spirit influence that opposes the continued existence of divine law, the law giver, and divine order generated by law. Sin first appeared among the angels in heaven, and was later spread to the earth among mankind.  Because sin may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures without appearing to be contrary, conflicting, or opposite to their inborn/inbred nature, sin continues indefinitely in spite of such finite tools as knowledge, intellect, philosophy, science, and technology.  Please consider the following Scripture points:

(1.)  Psalm 130:  3-5, King James Version (KJV):  3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O LORD, who shall stand?  4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.  5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

(2.)  Numbers 15:  25-26, KJV:  25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance:  and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:  26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.

(3.)  Daniel 9:  8-10, KJV:  8 O LORD, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.  9 To the LORD our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;  10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

(4.)  1st Kings 8:  44-49, KJV:  44 If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:  45 Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.  46 If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;  47 Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;  48 And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:  49 Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,

There is far more that could be said, and that must be correctly understood and spiritually taken into account.  (For example (5.)  Acts 5:  30-32, KJV:  30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.  31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.  32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
