(07/06/2015) Few Are Chosen

Today, Scripture points are shared on being chosen, divine intent, and the principles for inclusion within the coming kingdom.  A person may be called and chosen by GOD, yet, not correctly believe or trust in Christ.  To be chosen by divinity is to be given the opportunity to continue eternally as an object of sacred focus; however, without accepting and cooperating with the actions taken by GOD on their behalf, no one will achieve all that GOD desires for them.  The chosen become beneficiaries and heirs of the multiple ongoing divine operations to establish and maintain eternal life; yet, all must work to make actual the things commanded and revealed as potential and possible.  Believers who have been prepared through cleansing, instruction, prayer, and service are used by Deity to perform sacred events, proclaim divine purposes, and administer consecrated gifts.  Even so, as in the example of the multitude that left Egypt with Moses, those chosen for the journey to the Promise Land must arouse and encourage themselves to overcome the hardships, complete the tasks and work of the travel, and go on to cleanse and tame the land.  Only through divine expression (i.e., by grace, through faith) are otherwise implausible and impossible thoughts made to be existing certainties, and sure expectations of eternal fulfillment.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! What does this bible phrase mean, "Many are called but few are chosen"?

I think it means a lot of people are going to hell but maybe someone else can elaborate

"Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen" Matthew 22:13

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:  for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  (2nd Peter 1:  2-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why the Jews Were Called Out? (06/15/2015); What GOD Demands (05/10/2014); The Body of Moses (05/11/2014); A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014); The Bible is Unchanging? “Anonymous”, many who have been challenged, drawn, and encouraged to participate with divinity in the multiple operations to establish eternal life (e.g., atonement, confession, forgiveness, judgment, rebirth, repentance, resurrection, sanctification) will not endure until their own death, or until the coming of Jesus Christ; and so, many will not complete the transformation now begun wherein believers are to become immortal and incorruptible.  Recall, the army of Israel numbered more than ½ million in the Wilderness, yet, only Joshua and Caleb (2 of the spies) actually received a portion within the Promised Land.  The others, including Aaron and Moses, did not attain all the promises of GOD through disobedience and unbelief.  Similarly, many in the new testament will not achieve the things sworn to by GOD.  The Scriptures record the prerequisites and principles for inclusion within the coming kingdom.  Included are commitment, conviction, discipline (we say, self-control), fruitfulness (we say, productivity), industry, maturity (we say, readiness, ripeness), loyal love (we say, devotion), meekness (willingness to be taught by the Holy Spirit), obedience, perseverance, steadfastness, and zeal.  Consider the following:

(1.)  Ezekiel 33:  30-32, King James Version (KJV):  30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.  31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them:  for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.  32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument:  for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

(2.)  Romans 2:  13, KJV:  13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

(3.)  James 1:  21-25, KJV:  21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.  22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:  24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.  25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

(4.)  Leviticus 20:  26, KJV:  26 And ye shall be holy unto me:  for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

(5.)  Romans 8:  8-10, KJV:  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

There are many other Scriptures on the topic of being chosen and election that should be carefully considered, correctly understood, and made a permanent part of ones own sacred knowledge.  (For example, (6.)  Hebrews 3:  14-19, KJV:  14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;  15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.  16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke:  howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.  17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?  18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?  19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith, sacred knowledge, and the continuing operations of GOD for your perfection.
