(11/30/2014) The Death Penalty for Sins?

Divine law, judgment and the death penalty are topics, today.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no information available) posted the following:

Would Jesus uphold the death penalty? President Bush said," “I can’t justify the death penalty in terms of the New Testament...”?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?  Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?  Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?  (Romans 2:  21-23, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Death is a Divine Tool (09/15/2014); A Sleep and a Second Death (09/16/2014); No Mystery in Lawful Judgment (07/28/2014); Divine Law for Mankind? (07/29/2014); Beyond Punishment (03/21/2014); A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014); Sin Causes Death? (02/04/2014); Succession (02/05/2014); Death Has Been Transformed (05/09/2013); Loving the Enemy? “Anonymous”, here are a few points on divine law and judgment as understood among mature Christian believers:

(1.)  The Soul That Sinneth Must Die.  The operations of sin oppose the continued existence of divine law, of the Divine Law Giver, and of the Creation that relies upon divine order generated through sacred law.  The operations of GOD through the sacrifice of Jesus upon the cross have not eliminated sin and wickedness.  However, a way is made for those who seek change.  Only death or rebirth will completely stop a sinner from committing offenses and transgressions.  While death stops a sinner, the consequences of their deeds may continue indefinitely upon the earth.

(2.)  Sin is No Living Thing.  Sin is not a being who possesses superior knowledge and intelligence, yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in all created beings and living creatures.  For that reason, college graduates, intellectuals, logicians, mathematicians, philosophers and scientist are as subject and vulnerable to sin as any idiot or moron.  Sin is no living thing; and is no material or physical item a person may hold in their hand or put in their pocket.  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence.  Because, sin is not a thing made up of spirit matter, GOD has appeared in human flesh (we say, Incarnation) to become an embodiment of all sin whose destruction could be depicted upon the cross.

(3.)  GOD Justifies Divine Law.  Where men are in correct relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ, they do not attempt to condemn sacred law, they do not attempt to justify and promote themselves, and they understand it is foolishness to attempt to justify divinity.  There are inarguable, non-negotiable conditions that should only be met with acceptance.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Let He Who Is Without Sin.  When challenged to state his opinion of a law that condemned a woman caught in the act of adultery, the leaders and Pharisees of the Temple expected Jesus to condemn the law (and GOD, the Law Giver).  Instead, Jesus revealed the further demand of the law, that only those who are righteous may carry out, execute, and perform its penalties.  They all concluded, none was present who could legitimately fulfill the intent of the law.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
