(11/16/2014) To Walk As He Walked?

What it means to “walk in the light” is our topic, today.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “2FollowHim” (Level 7 with 82, 270 points, a member since January 25, 2010) posted the following:

Christians, how do you think Christians can 'walk in the light' 'AS HE ..IS in the light'? Please consider 'walk'.?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;  And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.  But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;  Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:  but rather giving of thanks.  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  Let no man deceive you with vain words:  for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.  Be not ye therefore partakers with them.  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:  walk as children of light:  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  (Ephesians 5:  1-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Coming to the Light? (09/29/2014); We Are Still Sinning? (11/30/2013); Like a Thief? (12/01/2013); A Halo Upon Jesus? (09/25/2013); On Marketing Church, and Speaking by Occasion (09/26/2013); Divine Self-Sacrifice? (09/30/2012); Justice Comes by Love? (10/01/2012)

“2FollowHim”, here are a few points many Christians have found helpful:

(1.)  To “walk in the light” is to become a living vessel filled with spirit substance from the makeup of divinity.  Having inseparable (where one is found, all appear) aspects of GOD—such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin—mature believers are to continually conduct themselves as agents and spokespersons for Christ, and display spiritual depth, honesty, and quality.

(2.)  Believers are to generate and give forth light (Let your light so shine before men…) that encourages and permits the release of spirit content from GOD to others through their own life experience, growth, and learning.  Light allows correct sight and proper vision, and reduces confusion, errors, missteps, and mystification.  Light more fully enables one is to make choices, and take action.

(3.)  The new life one obtains through baptism (death of the inborn spirit, burial, and rebirth through divine DNA, so to speak) is not complete, finished or perfect.  Those born again must also mature again through divine processes that are gradual and ongoing.  Thus, believers must endure the same life challenges, difficulties, and even sufferings of others upon the earth.  Believers are built up and strengthened as they acquire sacred knowledge by study of the holy writings, fellowship with committed believers, and unselfish service to others.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  “To walk” is to use ones own parts to move toward a goal or object.  All Christian believers are directing their own flesh and spirit to acknowledge GOD, and to occupy a place within the divine presence, because those who submit themselves to sacred authority and rule also will find acceptance, beauty, healing, justice, peace, truth, and rest.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
