(11/20/2014) The First Book of the Bible?

The content, meaning, purpose and value for the Book of Genesis are in view, today.  The “Yahoo! Answers ” writer in the discussion category Books & Authors using the ID “Clara” (Level 1 with 88 points, a member since November 05, 2014) posted the following:

The first book of the Bible represents what?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  And God said, Let there be light:  and there was light.  (Genesis 1:  1-3, KJV)

“Clara” here are a few points that have benefited mature Christian believers:

(1.)  The Book of Genesis is the initial written collection of oral histories and records that describe the appearance (we say, revelation) of divinity to mankind using various devices that include divine law, covenant, deliverance (we say, escape, liberation, release, rescue), lawful judgment through plagues, proclamations, sacred events, the rise and fall of nations as well as visitations by angels.

(2.)  GOD is a spirit who has put forth all material beings and living creatures, the conditions and spheres for their duration, with unchanging mechanisms and process for their exchange and interaction with one another, and with divinity.

(3.)  The makeup and substance of GOD must be understood as inseparable (where one appears, all are present) spirit content such as faith, holiness, life, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Spirit matter is not material, therefore the Deity may not described as a cloud, fog, mist or smoke (things made up of physical particles).

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Genesis describes divinity as the single source of existence and order for the entire universe, and introduces the eternal purposes of GOD that include eternal life for mankind following judgment.  Mankind is to be a living companion to divinity, and by operations of GOD, must be cleansed and transformed using death and resurrection to become immortal and incorruptible.  Sacred knowledge of the divine intent is provided to prepare mankind for the appearance of GOD in human form (we say, incarnate) as Jesus Christ.  The word of GOD shared through Genesis conveys divine spirit matter uttered as praise, precepts, prescriptions, principles, proclamations, promises, and prophecy.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
