(12/03/2013) Reveal Himself To All?

Today, response is made to a writer calling for a one-time, world-wide revelation of GOD.  Also, there is more on what we can do to be saved after we die.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers Canada” using the ID “rawr” (Level 3 with 1,234 points, a member since July 18, 2009) posted the following:

Why doesn't God just reveal himself? Then the whole world would believe in him and there would be no doubt?

Or other religions and no one would be tempted by the devil as they would know God truly exists and is on their side

THE BATTLE AXE:  Only While We Live (12/02/2013)—Judgment is a continuing aspect of eternal divinity, such that when GOD revealed his glory to Moses placing him in the clift of the rock, the Almighty proclaimed the name of the Lord, and demonstrated he is to be known as GOD through abundance; condemnation of  iniquity, transgression and sin; goodness, grace, and forgiveness of the guilty; longsuffering; mercy; sacred presence; righteousness; and truth-finding (see Exodus 33:  12-23 and 34:  5-8, KJV).  Relationships with the Almighty for finite created beings and living creatures that continue their existence using frameworks of time and space also must proceed through divine operations for judgment that include cleansing, comfort, correction, covenant, forbearance, impartiality, punishment, purification, rehabilitation, and severity.  Offenses and sin from the parents become peculiar streams within the full flow of material endurance for mankind that appear as the “life challenges” and conditions their children and offspring must encounter “to the third and fourth generations” (we say,  as much as 160 years).  Just as the Almighty is a GOD of Judgment, the Lord GOD is a GOD of the living, not the dead (see Luke 20:  37-38, KJV).  Mortality for men in the earth is frequently completed by death that cancels human awareness and self-will, yet, existence remains unfinished through the continuity of divine judgment.  Therefore, participation in final judgment requires resurrection and life.  Salvation for those drawn to GOD through Jesus Christ is a “closing” of judgment wherein such elements as actions, deeds, intentions, and works by the living have been examined for their acknowledgment of divine law, eternal purpose, and consecrated substance.  See Jeremiah 9:  23-24, Malachi 2:  17, Leviticus 26:  1-46 and Ezekiel 33:  12-19, King James Version.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.  (Ephesians 1:  15-23, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why Not One Bible? (11/02/2013); Why Jesus Used Parables (11/03/2013); Denying Baptism to Others (11/04/2013); Divine Love Revealed? (10/02/2013); Law A Schoolmaster? (10/03/2013); The Return in Glory? (07/04/2013); Desire for Love? (07/05/2013); The Ascension of Christ? (12/19/2012); GOD in Schools? (12/20/2012)

“rawr”, here are a few points important to Christian believers:

(1)  The revelation of GOD you suggest is “on its way”, and is recorded in Scripture as a sacred event that has been promised and prophesied to occur in the presence of every created being and living creature, including all the dead, who will then be revived to witness the judgment upon the godly.  Only the godly will be taken up to meet the Lord in the air.  (See 1st Thessalonians 4:  13-18, KJV).

(2)  The appearing or Advent of Jesus Christ will be his return to harvest the earth, and to receive to himself all those in covenant as his kingdom believers.  At that time through the force of truth (like it, don’t like it), “every knee will bow, every tongue confess” that Jesus is Lord (see Revelation 1:  7, KJV).

(3)  There is now an ongoing revelation of GOD through the Scriptures, through the Church, and through the imparted, indwelling Spirit of GOD.  However, the Advent will be an irreversible aspect of final judgment, an announcement of the verdict in favor of those declared to be just (justified) before GOD through the person of Jesus.  For that reason, created beings and living creatures are being carefully prepared through multiple divine operations that include atonement, baptism, confession, forgiveness, praise, repentance, sanctification, thanksgiving, and worship.

There is far more to be said, correctly shared, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4)  Final divine judgment will continue as an open and “public” event.  The righteous dead will assist Christ in preparing to receive and judge the wicked.  Additionally, those of the first resurrection will serve as witnesses to further establish the mercy and righteousness of judgment for the wicked.  Resurrection of the dead ensures that all will have opportunity to appear “in person” to hear and answer all charges made against them.  Their “accuser” will be neither Christ nor Satan (who will have been consigned to the lake of fire by that time).  They will be required to respond to the record of their attitudes, behavior and conduct written in the sacred Books of Life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:  16, KJV).  Happy Hanukkah to all.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
