Today, reply is on the proper focus for living our best lives as developing Christian believers. Sinners who turn to GOD through Jesus Christ are not to spend their time complaining, despairing, moping, quarreling and debating within themselves, confessing weakness, or proclaiming fear. All are supplied with sacred knowledge, life-giving testimony, and inarguable witness that allow those in Christ to continue the Savior's work of sharing comfort, direction, and exhortation. How far will god forgive?

For the past two years, I have lived in guilt over my sins. Some big and small. It's a constant burden waking up knowing you can't live your best life with this. I know god is forgiving, but how can he forgive me? I feel like I have a one way ticket to hell, and there is no way out of it. If I pray, confess, accept the blood of christ and change, will God really help me?

“Floyd”, living your best life becomes possible through Jesus Christ who provides multiple levels of newness and divine fullness. There must be choosing new focus and choosing new knowledge that come by our acceptance of the water baptism experienced by Jesus (that usually features death of the inborn spirit with rebirth from divine DNA) and his resurrection life (the new life granted to Jesus following his crucifixion and burial). Errors, sin, and transgressions are not primary for mankind’s redemption and salvation during this season of divine grace and revelation. The otherwise hidden and invisible character and nature of GOD are being imparted to those who become “born again” and who receive fresh endowments of the life essence (breath; spirit; utterance; word) bestowed on mankind from the makeup of GOD at Creation. Inseparable aspects of the divine fullness are received that include balance, faith, holiness, humility, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Those born again must also “grow up again” and become mature/ripe for harvest from the earth by the Lord at his coming. Developing believers are to exist as the new creation of Jesus Christ who are being transformed through discovery, gradual growth, sacred practice, study of the holy writings, suffering, and unselfish service. The joint-heirs with Christ will be made perfected through their final judgment and the Savior’s advent (Second Coming). Scripture points are shared, today, to distinguish Christian belief and new life from mistaken notions of civilization, evolution, or moral and social progress.  For many, the attack against religious belief continues on the basis of their desire for a higher experience of freedom through self-will.  Yet, within created beings and living creatures, awareness and self-will can be dominated and directed through sin.  Correctly understood, sin opposes the continued existence of sacred law, divinity, and the entire Creation that displays divine order through law.  Finite human tools such as intellect, logic, philosophy, and science have no power to eliminate sin.  Because only divine will is not subject to sin, mankind must turn to provisions from Deity for release and relief from sin, and its effects.  The fighter at “Yahoo! “xanas”, for many Christian believers, the focus is not upon concepts of social development, evolution, and progress to establish “civilization” so much as focus is upon permanent change (i.e., eternal life) through divine rebirth that deposits spirit content for a transformation of mankind at the Advent of Jesus Christ.  While “born again” Christians must continue upon the earth meeting the same life challenges as others, they are endowed to operate as citizens and representatives of a kingdom ruled by divinity through sacred law.  GOD is a spirit who operates using “essence” (we say, breath, spirit, utterance, word) that permits created beings and living creatures to exist in intimate relationship as children and heirs of divinity, where the living are more than merely abstractions or material objects.  What it is that mature Christians are to maintain in their living should become clearer as you consider the following points from the holy writings:

(1.)  Hebrews 1:  1-4, King James Version (KJV):  1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

(2.)  1st Peter 2:  1-3, KJV:  1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speaking,  2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:  3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

(3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh can not please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Repentance and the divine operations for eternal life are in view, today.  Mankind is unable to escape the power of sin simply by feeling embarrassment, guilt, intellect, logic, or shame.  Emotions and feelings are not enough.  Both sacred knowledge, and a divine will must be present and active.  The fighter at “Yahoo! “God’s Truth”, because many despise the holy writings, and are not careful to rely upon the Scriptures as an important source for sacred knowledge, even those among Christian believers often can not apprehend and realize the peculiar patterns and processes that set believers apart as prepared and sanctified to continue in relationship with GOD, our Creator and Savior.  Included are atonement, confession, forbearance, forgiveness, incarnation, prayer, rebirth, repentance, resurrection, and revelation.  [Matthew 4:  4 King James Version (KJV):  4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.]  Rightly understood, to repent is more than an act of the flesh and the mind (we say, intellect).  Repentance is an altering of actions, attitudes, behavior and conduct that result by a change in ones fundamental makeup.  Because one embraces things otherwise contrary to their nature, to repent requires multiple divine operations as in baptism and communion that redirect, reconfigure and reorient ones spiritual content to again be responsive exclusively to Deity.  Here are a few points to consider:

(1.)  There must be permanent change in ones response to divine law (i.e., believers must continually obey).  The transgression of the law is sin.  The righteousness (we say, spirit) of the law is to be maintained, not simply its letter.  Romans 7:  12-13, KJV:  12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.  13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

(2.)  There must be permanent change in what you will.  Sin is a non-material, non-spirit influence that may operate upon awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Things imagined and preconceived within ones consciousness appear as action and effect through the will.  Thus, the Apostle Paul laments, Romans 7:  24-25, KJV:  24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?  25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

(3.)  There must be permanent change in what you do.   Romans 6:  4-6, KJV:  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Both finite ethnic and infinite spiritual identity are in view, today.  Christians are to be distinctive as set apart for service to GOD (we say, sanctified) through their endowments and gifts of divine purpose, fellowship, sacred knowledge, and sacred practice (we say, sacraments).  Thus, believers are described by the truth as found in such Scripture as Psalms 4:  3 (KJV):  But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself:  the LORD will hear when I call unto him.  Because the followers of Jesus Christ receive fresh spirit content from the makeup of divinity—yet, must develop and minister upon the earth challenged by the same life experiences and carnal process as others—many are confused about how to correctly identify those belonging to GOD through the sacred events (we say, miracles) of baptism and rebirth.  While believers are correct to acknowledge their human origins, and express themselves respecting their own and the culture and heritage of others, their primary source of self-definition will always be Christ as their redeemer and savior.  A writer at “Yahoo! “Sherry”, here are some points shared among Christian believers that help to maintain balance and clarity within our human relationships:

(1.)  Through the operations of sin, impotence (lack of power) for ones own spiritual substance from the makeup of divinity is a common condition for all created beings and living creatures.  The language we use to speak of the specific needs of angels and mankind for spirit matter from GOD is not exact, and often results in errors and miscommunication.

(2.)  Christians are called (we say, recruited) to serve as prophets (spokespersons) for divinity, and are commanded to speak truths that are not personal, private and specific to a single individual.  Error often arises when believers repeat what GOD has spoken as a description of their new status that results from operations of the imparted Spirit from GOD.

(3.)  Christians are commanded to make positive declarations regarding things that now appear in their experience only as covenant agreements, expectations, hope, divine proclamations, promises, and prophecy.  Believers are to declare neither their own self-judgment, nor boast in self-promotion.  Rather, they must assert by words and deeds that they are “new creations” through Jesus Christ.

There is far more to be considered, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Since the error of Adam, mankind has required external devices and tools from GOD to correctly recognize, respond to, and resist the operations of sin.  In addition to divine law, the living must receive such added gifts as atonement, death, forgiveness, love, rebirth, repentance, resurrection, salvation, and sanctification.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

THE BATTLE AXE:  A Fallen Nature? (09/01/2014)—(4.)  A person should not worry that they have not properly received, or are losing their salvation because their lifestyle no longer seems comfortable, and easy.  Becoming certain of ones salvation is an aspect of the many fundamental changes that must occur within each believer.  The premise and starting point for ones emotions and thoughts must arise from the new spirit they now contain.  A believer’s physical world will not be changed.  Outward circumstances and conditions must be discerned and valued in terms of their expression of eternal life from GOD.  Rather than constant contentment, happiness, joy and prosperity, the permanent changes wrought by divinity as ones salvation are recognized through affliction, embarrassment, hardship, and suffering that reveal familiar things to be contrary to ones new nature.  Situations and things formerly accepted as being part of who you are (e.g., use of alcohol and cigarettes, flirting, gossiping, lying) or as desirable, natural and normal, are seen to be profane, ungodly, and without spiritual power.  Believers know their salvation by their desire for change, for sacred knowledge and for correct fellowship with experienced believers as well as by disinterest and distancing themselves from carnal and worldly things that increasingly are no longer satisfying.

(5.)  You could say the visible process of salvation that will be seen in public is that of declaring oneself to be a new person by continually speaking in agreement with sacred truth, and displaying specific attitudes, behavior, and conduct with spirit content from GOD.  Instead of relying upon what family, friends, and people say—or even ones own feelings and thoughts—those who have come to Christ believe the word from GOD that they have received.  As created beings and living creatures we are all challenged to understand, and then choose the course of our lives.  However, coming to the point of understanding—going beyond merely having correct data, needed facts, information, and knowledge—typically demands multiple choices that (at least, at first) are confusing, destructive, and misdirected.  Multiple experiences of conflict among our feelings, disappointment, and uncertainty also are authentic and genuine aspects of salvation and spiritual growth for many Christian believers.  The believer is able to “stay the course” by ignoring and looking away from “self”, and instead focusing upon the service and work they must do as agents and representatives of Christ.  Consider again 2nd Corinthians 5:  17-21, Romans 8:  1-9, 2nd Peter 1:  4 and Romans 6:  3-14, KJV.

THE BATTLE AXE:  GOD Does the Divine Part (01/05/2014)—While the divine intent is that mortal man be permanently changed and transformed to exist as immortal and incorruptible, none are automatically condemned or destroyed for merely being human and having to face the many challenges and weaknesses that come by life in the flesh.  Correctly acknowledging the grace of GOD (some say, divine love), and embracing the provisions through Jesus Christ, believers receive additional spirit content that allows sinners and those falling short of divine standards to overcome many trials, and willingly prepare themselves for the further operation of GOD through the Holy Spirit.  New knowledge must be acquired, new relationships must be explored and experienced, new habits and practices must be taken up and continued as ones own personal intent and sacred goals.  Jesus Christ has demonstrated that flesh and Spirit combine to form a “new creature” and a new Creation within the universe of GOD.  Salvation itself is completely prepared and completed as the act of GOD; and it is completely up to the believer when, where, with what words of praise and thanksgiving, or how they will submit themselves to be sealed, or acknowledge and express gratitude to GOD for their deliverance.  See 2nd Corinthians 5:  17, 2nd Corinthians 9:  15, Romans 6:  1-14, Romans 7:  18-25 and Revelation 21:  5, King James Version.

“to be or not to be”, things that happen in the mind may constitute pleasure, and may become habit, idols, and obstacles to praising GOD (see Ephesians 2:  1-8, KJV).  Here are a few points Christian believers are encouraged to keep in mind:

(1.)  Like the heart (we say, feelings, imagination) the mind is a peculiar opening where things from outside a person may enter, and become a continuing aspect of their character and personality.  More than this, the content of ones heart and mind may alter and influence the content of their spirit.  Many cautions and warnings are therefore provided in the Scriptures to the sons of the king and future rulers that acknowledge the unseen connections that produce behavior and conduct.  Consider again, As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he; and evil things come from within and defile a man (Proverbs 23:  6-7; Mark 7:  14-23, KJV.)

(2.)  Jesus did not introduce a new commandment condemning adultery; however, he taught that believers should practice keeping that and other laws with a greater commitment to, and understanding of righteousness.  When a man deliberately focuses upon a woman as an expression of lust and passion, this is that form of sin called “iniquity”.  Furthermore, sexual joining is not simply a physical act, it is also emotional, psychological and spiritual.  Thus, just as true love may be expressed, fornication may occur with an act as simple as holding hands.  (Matthew 5:  28, KJV)

(3.)  In the same way we are held accountable for the expression of anger and other feelings displayed as products of self-will, all must answer in judgment to other aspects of their inner content as created beings and living creatures.  A defining endowment of breath from GOD (we say, spirit that makes us what we are; the breath of life) absolutely must remain recognizable and visible to GOD.  (See Proverbs 16:  32;  Proverbs 25:  28 and Psalms 19:  12-14, KJV.)

There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood.  (For example (4.)  Divine judgment does center upon behavior and conduct recorded in the books of life, yet, the actual focus is ones spirit content.  There is no need that the devil or any other figure appear to accuse the sinner; all are judged by the record of their own deeds.  In the same way blood is a container that carries and transfers life essence (we say, sprit) and is not itself the “spark of life,” actions are the vessels that convey consciousness of divinity, sacred intent, and eternal purpose.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

“cosmos”, here are a few points Christian believers usually acquire by their own careful study of the promises, prophecies and record of sacred events from GOD that are recorded in the Holy Bible:

(1.)  The physical earth has been polluted through the shedding of blood.  Blood is a divine tool used to carry life essence (we say, spirit), and may become defiled and unfit for sacred use (we say, can become unclean) through sin.  Presently, mankind cannot eliminate or fully explain sin.  Sin is no material or spirit substance, yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  Mankind is an aspect of the physical earth, and also is polluted.  Before, a flood of waters to cleanse and wash the earth was used (in Noah’s day); now, the whole earth is to be purified through burning and fire (we also, say judgment).  Made new, there will be no oceans upon the earth; and the earth will be the home of Christ and all those harvested from the earth as redeemed, justified and glorified.

(3.)  The investigation and judgment of mankind in the person of Jesus that began when Christ went back to heaven, and the divine work of applying his own blood to each of the life records belonging to those whom he is claiming from upon the earth, began with the righteous dead from the time of Adam and must continue to include those who will be alive at the time of his second coming.  Once that work is completed, all the righteous will be raised up to join the Lord in the continuing work of judgment, and the preparation of the new earth.  Later, there will be a second resurrection, and the wicked will then appear before Christ to answer their own judgment.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Earth is to be the eternal home for mankind, not heaven.  At the close of judgment, distribution of the earth will be performed just like when all who were to enter the Promised Land first were granted an allotment.  Mortality will be ended, and mankind will exist as immortal and incorruptible by sin.)  I trust this fragment will be useful.  Even so, be it unto you according to your faith.  Jesus is coming soon, and it may no longer be truthfully said we were given “no answers,” no opportunities to learn and understand, and no indwelling Spirit of Truth.  Grow in grace.

      Whether Christians should continue reading the Old Testament is considered along with more on Sabbath keeping by those having newness of spirit in place of the law. A “Yahoo! Are Christians not supposed to read the Old Testament in the Bible?

I was raised in a Christian household, and I was always told that we were supposed to read the WHOLE Bible, because it is all God's word and so on and so forth.

Obviously, I'm not into all that jazz, but just recently I keep seeing people who say that the Old Testament in the Bible is for Jews. Therefore, Christians don't follow, the uh, the Old Testament. Just Jews.

I'm super ignorant when it comes to religion, so any help would be appreciated. It would kinda make sense to follow all of the Bible, as it seems it's all from God. But I don't get why Jews get the Old Testament, and Christians get the New one.

THE BATTLE AXE: Newness of Spirit? (01/04/2013)—Believers are not saved by Sabbath keeping (i.e., the works of men), however they are cleansed, refreshed, and set apart for fellowship with GOD, and divine service (i.e., sanctified). Understood as an aspect of being and existence residing within the fullness of divine will, the Sabbath is eternal, and is more than simply a period of time, and a measure of temporal duration. The change a believer undergoes from being energized and motivated to acknowledge the Sabbath by law to being ignited and sparked through holy wisdom and zeal is so all-encompassing that we speak of it as dying to sin and the world while being reborn to GOD. The new spirit imparted from GOD that accomplishes re-birth within believers also deposits divine intent, sacred purpose, sovereign understanding, and a self-will that conforms to hallowed law. The motive to unselfishly benefit others (called “love”) dominates awareness; and is inseparable from humility whereby awe before GOD is translated into submission, obedience, conviction and commitment. As carnal realities and operations of the flesh, celebration, rejoicing, rest and worship are not the same; however, as manifestations of the Spirit from GOD, the four are one in their nature and sacred content. Divine law given to provide knowledge and awareness produces the same Sabbath keeping as obedience to law by faith; a single divine Spirit produces the gifts, fruit and sacred substance of the Sabbath. For the believer walking in newness of Spirit, freedom and reconciliation through Christ does not mean what once was sin and wickedness have become pleasing to GOD; nor are the first things of eternal righteousness now deprived of power and value.

      Here are some ideas that may help:

      The sameness of the old and new testaments (formal declarations by a living owner regarding the lawful disposition of an estate or inheritance; a contract to transfer duties, obligations and property) derive from their shared existence as devices to portray the same, single, invisible, unchanging GOD.

      The holy writings that we call the Bible and Scripture are collections of eye witness reports and testimonies provided as evidence in judgment. Many different human events, themes and topics are recorded; however, the intent of all is making divinity known and understandable, and revealing the action and presence of GOD in the experience of mankind. As a result, material appears that addresses divine purpose, miracles and wonders, sacred processes, and the specific elements of right relationship with GOD for all created beings and living creatures.

      Covenant with GOD as our Creator—a continuing relationship generated through faith, grace, law and promise—is established and maintained through individuals as well as through nations. The word of GOD spoken to the serpent in the Garden of Eden allowed Adam and Eve to view themselves as having a promise from GOD, and the earliest covenant providing a foundation for hope (i.e., expectation). More than this, a priesthood was granted upon the earth modeled after the priesthood of the Son of GOD in heaven, that would actually bring to pass the divine word. (See Genesis 3: 1-24, King James Version.) Devices would be used including, birth, death, family, inheritance, repentance, sacrifice and suffering.

      There are many covenants recorded in the Scriptures. Believers in Jesus Christ receive a “god’s-eye” view of their many features because the Bible record details thousands of lives over the course of thousands of years. Thus, the covenant with the tribes of Jacob (called “Jews”), whereby a “promised land” is provided, had first been granted to seven different nations that occupied that area (Deuteronomy 7: 1 and Acts 13: 19, KJV).

      There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, a blind man may live a life filled with challenge, accomplishment, and satisfaction. He may marry, be a parent, work, or become a celebrity; yet, look at all he misses. A follower of Christ may continue in darkness regarding the holy writings, and have a wonderful experience of new life. Yet, look at all he misses! Without correct knowledge from the entire Bible, ones duty to spread the Gospel cannot be faithfully carried out.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. THE BATTLE AXE:  Childlike Faith (10/18/2012)—Christian believers are often spoken of as if they were children.  For example, the broad dependence of children upon adults for health, nourishment, protection and shelter is used to depict rebirth, redemption and salvation.  Believers are sons and daughters of GOD, the children of GOD, through adoption of the Holy Spirit.  As such, their legitimacy may not be challenged or questioned, they have legal standing,  and they must answer to various levels of limited accountability.  Language is used whereby the operation of divine grace is spoken of as a free gift, an inheritance, and as unearned reward.  Also, being “children” the people of GOD are described as forward-looking, (having expectation, futurity, hope, and joy), and as teachable.  All continually receive chastisement and correction, and routinely display gratitude, humility, obedience, patience, unity, and zeal.  Dead to sin, yet alive to GOD through Jesus Christ, believers are also spoken of as new creatures, because they continually experience the things of GOD having a sense of amazement, awe, newness and wonder.

     Be encouraged as you consider the following ideas shared among Christian believers as sacred history; many important points must come into view:

     The people living in the “promised land” before the tribes of Jacob came out of Egypt had been able to prosper for hundreds of years and become great nations, because they were favored by Almighty GOD through covenant.  The seven nations (the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and the Jebusites) did not maintain right relationship with the covenant-making GOD; and defiled the land by worshiping idols, and shedding human blood.  Cleansing and restoration of the land would require the blood from those who had shed blood be soaked into the soil.  Also, the sacred purposes of GOD would require that another people be chosen to inhabit the land.

     The twelve tribes, and many of the mixed multitude who followed Moses, had undergone transformation from a pastoral people, whose major vocation was herding and keeping livestock, to being subservient in the economy of Egypt as construction laborers.  GOD would carry them further to become an independent people, and an army of GOD—not for conquest and warfare—for execution of divine judgment.  Like many, today, the Canaanites were so turned away from GOD, that the will of the Creator could only be established among them through death and violence.

     As always, the issues of divine judgment go beyond punishing “bad behavior” and naughtiness.  The divinity, integrity and righteousness of GOD are in question along with the possibilities for relationship, revelation, trust and truth.  Fulfillment of a commission to remove the Canaanites from the promised land was to be “an evidence of things unseen” that would impress the hearts and minds of all mankind.   Assurance, certainty and confidence were to be imparted that Israel would continue as the people of divine covenant.

     There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, GOD is a spirit, yet we speak of Almighty GOD as if divinity can be known using the things of our carnal, material and social reality.  At best the things of our physical world only suggests truth that must be confirmed by the spirit existing within each person.  Jesus Christ may be thought of as a “bridge” whereby the divine and human spirits are re-connected, and the provider of a covenant from GOD that embraces his redeemed believers and followers.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

THE BATTLE AXE: Justice Comes by Love (10/01/2012)—The proclamation of love in Jesus Christ includes that none living absolutely must come under the wrath of GOD against sin. Many mature Christian believers regard the judgment of GOD as continuous and immediate. Therefore, in their understanding justice is never delayed, and continually appears as the natural consequences of a person’s deeds. Injustice that results through such elements as dishonesty, hate, human error, ignorance, malice, and pride is overturned by the direct intervention, and intercession of GOD to uphold divine law and to ensure the correct sacred process of eternal life. GOD is jealous and active for justice, however, inestimable grace marks divine judgment as filled with surprise and unpredictable. Consider again the sign of Jonas (see Jonah Chapters 3 and 4, KJV). GOD does not impose the content of judgment upon created beings and living creatures so much as permits them to determine and select their own realities of justice. In the same way believers voluntarily choose for themselves the joy, freedom and peace of salvation through Jesus Christ, unbelievers willfully choose for themselves the condemnation, misery and shame of atheism, skepticism and non-belief. In general, the Scriptures report those who promote judgment against the people of GOD are those who insist upon denial of Christ, and are “dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie” (see Revelation 21: 8 and 22: 15, KJV).


THE GOLDEN ARROW: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.      In my understanding, all created beings and living creatures contain a measure of divinity that has been imparted from the person of Almighty GOD. The initial endowment from Creation includes such elements as consciousness, faith, humility, holiness, joy, wisdom and wrath against sin. This feature of human makeup permits us to say, mankind is made in the image of GOD, while GOD is a spirit, and not a material or physical being. Mortality is the finite condition of existence provided to beautify and distinguish mankind before GOD. The holy angels, sacred beasts and other life forms in heaven are not mortal, and neither are they immortal. The conditions of their existence include that they are finished and now possess all the divine content they may ever contain. Unlike creatures of the earth, they do not acquire information by gradual learning and experience; and mankind is understood as specially pleasing to GOD because the living continue to change, grow, and unfold.
    
     The character and nature of GOD cannot be altered by any external influence. Therefore, we say GOD is immutable, and unchanging. The will of created beings and living creatures may be dominated by the external influence of sin; the will of GOD is “immune” to sin. GOD does not develop or grow, however, the revelation of GOD does unfold through various divine processes (e.g., death, forbearance, forgiveness, judgment, rebirth, salvation, sanctification, truth). GOD thrives through directed change, diversity, and multiple person. More than this, GOD operates through and within multiple levels of awareness and sacred substance.
    
     For many, life is described as simple, and is made from strings of emotional, mental, and social events. Fantasy, hardship, poverty or prosperity—life is understood as the product of human thought and action. For others, life also includes spiritual dimensions whereby the fullness and richness of life are amplified, and possibilities for relationship include GOD as Creator, Father, Savior, Sovereign and Judge. The sense of expectation that we call “hope” further enhances life experience as energized, grounded, forward-looking, and intense.
    
     There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, one of the greatest excitements of human life is that we may learn continuously, and there are always surprises. This is also true where a person is spiritually reborn through repentance and baptism. So to speak, once you are “born again” you must grow up again. What upsets many is that there also must be spiritual “growing pains.”) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
