(12/17/2015) The Greatest Weapon?

Today, divine law is identified as the greatest weapon against the operations of sin.  Such aspects of salvation as atonement, baptism, rebirth, and repentance may be seen as expressions of eternal purpose, and the expressed will of GOD we call “law.”  While faith, miracles, and the blood of Jesus also have place in the divine process to cleanse and heal Creation, like forgiveness, divine love, and sending the Comforter, many sacred operations pertain more to reconciliation and revelation than to wrath against sin, and spiritual warfare against deception, idolatry, and temptation.  Consider the following from the Bible, and the points appearing below:  Romans 13:  12-14, King James Version (KJV):  12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand:  let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.  13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.  14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.  Also, 2nd Corinthians 10:  3-5, KJV:  3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  2nd Chronicles 20:  16-18, KJV:  16 To morrow go ye down against them:  behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.  17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle:  set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem:  fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them:  for the LORD will be with you.  18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground:  and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.  Hebrews 4:  12-13, KJV:  12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:  but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Is disbelief satan's most powerful weapon against good?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  (Ephesians 6:  11-18, KJV)

“Anonymous”, for the disciples and those acknowledging the teachings of Jesus Christ, the greatest weapon in the ongoing struggles to cleanse, restore, and sanctify the Creation of GOD is the law.  In the same way modern armies among men all seek to employ the same or similar technology and weapons that are available, in the spiritual conflict for dominion of the earth, the reading and application of the law appears as the greatest tool for entangling and trapping mankind, just as law is a divine tool to benefit, guide, liberate and establish existence for all created beings and living creatures.  Using the idea of divine warfare, then, the weapon of sin has not been created by Satan.  The Adversary (Satan) is associated with sin as a casualty and victim, for sin operates through awareness and self-will in the living.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, of the Law Giver, and of all the divine order that sustains the present universe.  Just as sin has not been created or put forth by Deity, sin has no spirit substance, and has no divine origin.  Because Satan operates as one who is deceived, and can not discern or recognize the extent of his own wounds, he continues to go about claiming spiritual soundness, yet, spreading doctrine that is defiled, impure, and in error.  In this light, then, consider again the following from the Bible:

(1.)  James 2:  19, King James Version (KJV):  19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well:  the devils also believe, and tremble.

(2.)  Ezekiel 28:  16-18, KJV:  16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned:  therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God:  and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.  17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:  I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.  18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

(3.)  2nd John 1:  7, KJV:  7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

(4.)  Isaiah 44:  20, KJV:  20 He feedeth on ashes:  a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

(5.)  Romans 7:  9-14, KJV:  9 For I was alive without the law once:  but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.  10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.  11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.  12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.  13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.  14 For we know that the law is spiritual:  but I am carnal, sold under sin.

(6.)  Mark 9:  23-25, KJV:  23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.  24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.  25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

There are many other verses that should be carefully considered, correctly understood, and made a part of ones spiritual arsenal.  (For example, (7.)  1st John 3:  7-9, KJV:  7 Little children, let no man deceive you:  he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.  8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him:  and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
