(06/03/2015) The Words Are Spirit?

Points are shared, today, as a BATTLE AXE to the discussion on whether there will be new holy writings from GOD.  Faith, that appears only as divine substance and eternal spirit matter, may not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.  The recorded word of GOD (we say, the Scriptures, the Bible, the holy writings) is provided as a non-negotiable standard (we say, rod of iron) with the two-fold authority of divine law and everlasting truth; and is not taken up on the basis of ones own opinion, personal preferences, ones private feelings, or individuality and lifestyle.  A secular human process will continue where mankind may copy, counterfeit, discover, revise, revive and re-write truths that have their origins in divinity.  Also, there probably will continue to be conjecture, debate, human error, exaggeration, forgetting, overemphasis, pride, pseudo-intellectualizing, speculation, and vain hope.  It will remain that GOD must be the proper source for accurate and complete sacred knowledge; and things that appear to be different at their surface will be found to have the same direction, effect, intent, purpose, and consecrated inner substance.  No expiration date or restriction on their application is found upon such truth as that shared in 1st Corinthians 2:  11-14, King James Version (KJV):  11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  Also, 1st Corinthians 2:  5, KJV:  5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.  A blogger at thoughts.com using the ID “furchizedek” commented on (05/31/2015) Can The Bible Be Increased?:

Sure the bible can be increased. Or decreased. It already has been. Deuteronomy says not to add or take away from the bible. Then the Christians came along and did exactly that, they added a ton of books. Some Christians, the Catholics, have more books that other Christians. And the Book of Revelation “warning” is a poor man’s copyright from the old days. In any case, it only applies to the Book of Revelation, not the entire bible. It’s also circular reasoning to use the bible to prove that the bible can’t be increased. It’s just a book. When the time is right, it will be altered to suit the new purposes.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.  And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;  Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:  for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.  But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:  How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?  For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.  For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.  For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.  Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:  (2nd Corinthians 3:  2-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  It Is Our Wisdom To Ask (05/18/2015); Divinity Has Person? (05/19/2015); Necessary to Want It? (05/15/2015); Words Spoken By GOD? (06/05/2013); Teachings on Judgment (06/06/2013); Faith, Language and “Mystery” (04/11/2013); GOD Knows Tomorrow? (04/12/2013)

“furchizedek”, rather than appear argumentative, combative, critical, or pedantic, I hesitated to reply in writing to your response.  The ideas that you shared did not acknowledge many fundamental beliefs that must be in place among those who embrace salvation through Jesus Christ.  Accepting it as my duty to share somewhat with you, I am posting these points.  Those who are “yet carnal”, who approach divinity relying upon flesh and mind, are not prepared to acknowledge “new” definition and meaning for familiar and “old” language that speaks of divinity.  Along with dependence upon the frameworks of time and space, sacred knowledge cancels the effectiveness of most finite tools suited to grasp things primarily emotional, historical, material, psychological, social, and visual.  Please consider the following:

(1.)  The full meaning of “spirit” as a unique content and distinct substance is established only by operations of eternal, immutable, incorruptible Spirit.  We have seen that grounded merely in academics, logic, mathematics and philosophy, men can not apprehend “confession”, “faith”, “holiness”, “love”, “repentance“” or even “forgiveness”.  Thus, while we may say, “Grow in grace.”  Grace neither diminishes nor expands; grace is not subject to measurement and manipulation (we say, science).  While we speak of two testaments, and covenants many, there is only one permanent and “right” relationship with GOD.

(2.)  There will be no new Gospel, no new message, no new revelation.  Scripture provides a summation embracing divine operations through thousands of lives during the course of thousands of years.  What we receive is in the nature of conclusion and proclamation as with Hebrews 9:  28, KJV:  28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

(3.)  Because many argue the unity of divine actors (Father, Son, Holy Ghost), the oneness and unity of sacred process, eternal purpose, and exalted truth is often missed.   Ephesians 4:  4-7, KJV:  4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

(4.)  In order to grasp divinity and Deity as revealed in Scripture, the holy writings should be taken as impressions, indicators, principles, and “shadows” projected by unseen sacred objects that have full substance.  Believers are to continue practicing discernment that distinguishes between the letter and the spirit.  1st Peter 1:  18-21, KJV:  18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,  21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (5.)  In their effort to demystify the Scriptures, eliminate fear (we say, awe), and make divinity more easily understood (and dismissed), many deny that the word of GOD is immense power beyond any cosmic scale.  Yet, it is written in John 6:  63, KJV:  63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:  the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.
