(06/02/2015) Meanings That Support Eternal Existence?

Points are shared, today, on why there must be various sacred meanings, operations, and values in place for understanding eternal existence.  Among Christians, there are many understandings for “hell” including (1) a depository for bodies and cadavers having no spirit of life (we say, the grave), (2) an eternal place for unclean spirits and souls that is controlled and ruled by the adversaries of GOD (we say, the kingdom of Satan), and (3) a place of eternal burning, judgment, punishment and torment (we say, a divine prison). However, correctly understood, hell is not a sphere of life where created beings and living creatures continue their natural existence following death, or that serves as a container, prison, and receptacle for matter from those once alive (i.e., angels or humans).  Also, while being, heaven, hell, and life have place through the existence of eternal Deity, sin does not.  Sin opposes the continuation of divine law, the Law Giver, and Creation that relies upon sacred law.  Sin blocks ordered change (we say, development, growth), is contrary to the divine nature, is not self-aware, yet is both self-destructive and self-perpetuating.  Sin contends against intellect, continues death, removes fertility, halts reproduction, and engenders nonexistence.  The “Yahoo! Christians, how come it's either Heaven or Hell after we die? Why not nonexistence?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom:  the rich man also died, and was buried;  And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.  And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things:  but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.  And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed:  so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.  Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:  For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.  Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.  And he said, Nay, father Abraham:  but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.  And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.  (Luke 16:  22-31, KJV)

“Rosalyna”, at first, many Christian believers confuse teachings about the spheres (we say, locations or places) for existence and life with those on the character, makeup, and substance of existence.  Here are some simple, yet profound ideas (i.e., plain while having broad application and multiple levels of consequence) that have helped many maintain a correct focus, and avoid spiritual confusion:

(1.)  For all created beings and living creatures, the meanings and understandings to be applied and continued as supporting eternal existence must center upon and emerge from immutable, unchanging aspects of divinity, and operations of spirit.  Included are faith, holiness, law, love, respect, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(2.) For believers in Jesus Christ, when such ideas as certainty, death, knowledge, innocence, life, possibility, probability, purity, rebirth, and value are used, they are part of a distinct system different from that for describing concrete and material objects (we say, measurement, science), the physical environment of the living (e.g., earth, heaven, the sea, the universe), or the recurring emotional, mental, psychological and social patterns that appear upon the earth.  There must be sacred knowledge that is provided as grace, revelation, and divine self-disclosure.

(3.)  In the same way there are a fixed and limited number of options for describing the conditions and state of being we call “a rainy day” (perhaps cloudy, dreary, overcast, wet, etc.) communication, exchange, and interaction for the created with the Creator proceeds having fixed boundaries, procedures and standards that must be applied to describe both what is actual and potential when relating to Deity.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Given the absolute fact that only Deity may continue to generate and maintain existence and divine order, the character and nature of divinity must be described using such concepts as authority, government, hierarchy, ownership, eternal purpose, and sovereignty.  Judgment must be acknowledged as an indispensable aspect of reality for the living, and must be accepted as the assignment of value using standards supplied by divinity as well as the resolution of conflict and the settlement of disputes by application of sacred law.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
