(02/12/2015) Ruling With Christ?

Today, focus is upon the promise that believers will reign as kings and priests with Christ.  Some of those chosen to be apostles of the Lord at first were ambitious, proud, secular-minded, and self-promoting.  They followed Jesus only because they coveted position, titles, and wealth.  Similar errors also exist within the hearts of modern believers.  Yet, Jesus Christ has demonstrated that divine rule is accomplished by ministries of atonement, change, grace, forgiveness, law, love, mercy, rest, and revelation.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Do you believe that, one day, YOU will be RULING all the nations with Jesus Christ?

Don't laugh. Some denominations teach this. Well, at least one CULT teaches this. I am putting this in Religion and Spirituality. Hopefully, it goes there.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?  When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?  And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.  Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.  And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.  And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?  But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.  But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.  This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.  For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist:  but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.  (Luke 7:  19-28, KJV)

THE DOUBLE ARROW:  A Kingdom Now and One To Come? (09/05/2014); Comfort? (09/06/2014); The Ruler Of the Earth? (05/01/2014); Parables About the Kingdom? (05/02/2014); Mankind Destroyed? (01/24/2014); What Salvation Is (01/25/2014); Able to Become Gods? (01/11/2014); Why Christians Pray for Others (01/12/2014); The Earth Made New (11/13/2013); Hierarchy (11/14/2013); The Place for Eternal Life? (01/06/2013); Therefore There Was Trust (01/07/2013)

“Mark”, many trust that their rule as believers will continue as through Christ, not along with Christ.  Here are some ideas that are being found useful to keep Christian believers anchored and grounded:

(1.)  Divine government and eternal order are accomplished through operations of awareness, self-will, and the spirit matter that reside within created beings and living creatures.  Because there is a necessary division of labor, there are many offices and roles that must work together to accomplish sacred purposes, and authority to direct and manage events must also appear.  However, the essential process of eternal life does not emerge as hierarchy and ranking.  Shared harmony and fruitfulness are achieved through accountability, self-control, self-discipline, and self-government practiced within covenant and intimate relationships as children of GOD.

(2.)  Divine rule is invested in born-again believers so they may carry out and perform divine will.  For this reason, believers become repositories of sacred knowledge, divine law, and inseparable spirit matter from the makeup of Deity.  Through the ministries of Jesus Christ, believers are provided with a fresh endowment of the same essence that was breathed into Adam.  Included are faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Presently, among men, there must be many devices and practices to establish a temporal ruler as exalted, or possessing power to benefit others.  In addition to awarding  “plums” (e.g., media interviews, jobs, control of manpower, offices, and privileged titles), even elected officials make displays intervening in legal cases, setting policies, and using technology (computers, smartphones, satellite communications) and private transportation (automobiles, helicopters, small jet planes, trains).  Such rule may be maintained through ambition, deception, defiance, irreverence, lies, false promises, ostentation (we say, fronting, posing, and showing off), propaganda, and violence.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Eternal rule requires eternal life and eternal spirit.  Those Christian believers who will be made immortal and incorruptible will exist having oneness—diversity, equality and legitimacy without sameness.  Believers will selflessly rule as they are within the heart and mind of Christ, not as competing, independent or separate monarchs.  The principle of unity whereby the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are in constant agreement will characterize the kingdom of GOD and the earth made new.  GOD and Christ will be present upon the earth, and the earlier separations of heaven, the temple, and sin will no longer exist.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.
