(02/13/2015) The God Concept?

Points are shared, today, on human error, sin, and mankind’s continuing need for sacred knowledge.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Counselor For Lost Souls” (Level 6 with 22,084 points, a member since June 10, 2013) posted the following:

Is the God concept the most destructive thing in humanity?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  (Colossians 1:  10-20, KJV)

“Counselor For Lost Souls”, here are a few points to consider that are in line with Christian belief:

(1.)  Because it appears to be true that all humans come into a world that operates on the basis of continuing processes that exist before their birth, questions about the origin of life and material existence become necessary for complete and correct intellectual order.  Yet, just as the beginning of humanity is difficult to describe as having been entirely from human substance and the social order that we see today, the starting point for full sacred knowledge is not easily explained as deriving from human awareness, curiosity, or scientific observation.

(2.)  Christians are challenged to understand that GOD is a spirit who is known through effects and patterns displayed by and within created beings and living creatures, the spheres of their existence (e.g., earth, heaven, the sea, the universe), and the conditions and terms for their endurance.  Only GOD is immortal; angels and the sacred beasts of heaven are neither mortal nor immortal; and mankind is now mortal, and relies upon the frameworks of time and space to structure consciousness.  The makeup of divinity may be spoken of as consisting only of inseparable and permanent aspects of spirit matter.  Where one appears, all appear; and may vary in their balance and proportion.  Thus, faith (made up only of faith), holiness (made up only of holiness), are understood as interacting with such other spirit matter as longsuffering, love, righteousness, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  What you seem to be calling “the God concept” is what believers call “revelation”, the system of premises, principles, and sacred events put forth by our invisible Creator to establish awareness of divine person, continuing relationship with Deity, divine order, and eternal purpose.  Sin has not been created by GOD, and is neither a material or spirit substance.  Even so, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the Creation maintained and regulated through law.  Sin within the living is self-destructive; and may not control or influence divine will.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Human error is an artifact of self-will.  The possibilities for life expression among mankind permit display of a basic and “animal” nature, yet, there also is the potential for achievement of both a distinctly human and a godly nature as well.  In agreement with the belief that mankind is the creation of divinity, correct and full attainment of acceptance and spiritual unity with GOD requires action taken by divinity as well as peculiar forms of communication (e.g., praise, prayer, promise, worship), exchanges, and interactions of spirit with flesh.  Using the finite tools of intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy and science, mankind can not eliminate sin.  Humanity must receive the fresh endowments of sacred substance now available through the ministry of Jesus Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.
